5 /5 K Rick: The shop and the manager have integrity. I was referred to them by my mechanic and have never used their services. And there was a bit of a miscommunication between the man who worked the counter and myself. In my previous experiences with shops, they shrug and put the burden on you as the customer. But at Certified Automotive Repair in Grass Valley they are some people that you can really trust and in the end they made sure to take care of me and compensated me. I recommend them as a 34 year resident of Grass Valley who has used many mechanics. Im on my way to pick up my vehicle from there now.

4 /5 Kaden Bond: Service took a bit longer than expected, but they took great care of our car and were very thorough in diagnosing its issue. Parking there is a tight squeeze, so just be aware of that when you first go there

1 /5 Penny: We have used this shop for many years, apparently it is now under new management. Brought one of the cars in for smog certification., but day before appt check engine light came on, we were told to bring it in anyway. We were charged $65 just to plug in the code reader, Auto Zone does for free we found out later. Were never charged this before in similar situations. Were then told 2 parts needed replacement to pass smog and were verbally quoted a cost of $300 parts and labor. Jay said he was going to order the parts. Drove the car for a few days. Check engine light never came back on. Called Jay and he told me that parts were going to be over $500, who knows what the labor was going to be at their shop rates. Decided to take it to Auto Zone to do the FREE test and all monitors were just fine. Took it over to a different Smog Shop and it passed with flying colors. Moral of the story, this shop is not what it used to be when Scott was there (hes at Plaza now in NC), gut feeling was not a good one and we were right.

I took mine in for a coolant leak ($900 fix somehow for a "water pump housing") and left with a clanking engine and a check engine light reading for four codes. I brought it in to see what they had done wrong and they said it was a system error. They turned the light off manually and lied to my face about the issues they caused. Save your time and money and do not come here. After talking to others, it turns out they are well known for this. Took my car elsewhere and was assured my coolant leak was not fixed, the water pump housing was not the issue, and all the codes popping up and sounds coming from my engine were indeed caused by these guys. Unfortunately now I have to take action to escalate this only causing more stress and time.
