Recently, my car had a pretty significant issue that could have been costly to fix, but instead of just taking the job and charging me a fortune, they were upfront and suggested that selling the car might be the better option. Mistie Clark So we went to vacuum our vehicle. Every station was filled and overflowing with trash. Where you park to vacuum your vehicle is littered with trash. From underwear to other equally nasty items. The car washes were flooded as well. I was shocked to see that they have been in business for so long, with such neglect.

Salif Bamakora The skip panel on the undercarriage of my car was removed to change the oil and came loose before I got home. The oil change itself was legit, but I now am missing fasteners and can’t drive above 45 without the panel flapping. They offered to repair it, but that’s another session of waiting in line for the repair. Update: I added some screws to the skid plate to be able to drive the car to town without the loose skid plate flapping. I brought my car in for the promised repairs, waited for about 30 minutes while they “fixed” it and was told it was “all set”. When I came home I looked to check the repair, only to see that it was exactly as I had left it. So they lied to me about fixing it and wasted 30 minutes of my time. I won’t ever go back!

Aaron Palmer Never go here. They tried to charge me $500 to replace one tire. They said it couldnt be fixed / plugged. I had to go with roadside assistance instead. When roadside arrived, they said its just a nail. And fixed it, no problems, for a tiny fraction of the costs. Neighborhood Automotive is scamming people.

Yana Carpenter I have been using Gold Country Auto for at least 6 years. They have taken care of 3 of my vehicles and keep me up to date with all my maintenance on my newest car. This is so important because I do not naturally remember to maintain my vehicles. The staff treats me with a professional attitude and I really like to personal customer service I receive. The prices are totally reasonable and there work is excellent, I have never had a problem with anything they have done. I work with an crew of guys and they always have to add their two cents about pricing and what parts would use, when I need something fixed, Gold Country has been spot on every time with price and quality. I have total trust in Kevin and his staff at Gold Country Auto. I have recommended many friends and they are always happy with the service and thankful they have an honest mechanic they can count on.

Hickok Christopher Back again to share how happy I am that I found Gold Country Auto. They have now twice got me in on no advanced notice, correctly assessed my cars issue, & gave me a very fair price to do the repairs. My car & I are both beyond grateful for their service & being a DoorDash driver, these quick repairs are life savers to help get me back on the road & earning again. From taking my calls, to keeping my updated on progress, being flexible on drop off and pick up times, and just making me feel like part of the family. The hourly rate was fair and they were able to squeeze me in and finish the job quickly. This is a great shop!

K Rick The shop and the manager have integrity. I was referred to them by my mechanic and have never used their services. And there was a bit of a miscommunication between the man who worked the counter and myself. In my previous experiences with shops, they shrug and put the burden on you as the customer. But at Certified Automotive Repair in Grass Valley they are some people that you can really trust and in the end they made sure to take care of me and compensated me. I recommend them as a 34 year resident of Grass Valley who has used many mechanics. Im on my way to pick up my vehicle from there now.

D C Grass Valley Garage is the best in town! I used to take my 2022 Mercedes GLC to Auburn for maintenance and oil changes. I’m so glad to have someone who specializes in European models locally now! Nick is honest, which is hard to find in the mechanic world. I completely trust him with our cars!

Norma Grass Valley Garage is the BEST mechanic shop in Grass Valley! They know their stuff! I love having a shop in town that specializes in European vehicles. I like to keep our money local.

jason cardona This is the only place I trust to work on my subaru outback. They are very fair and trustworthy. Ive had multiple repairs in the past and Im always satisfied. One time I brought my car in for a low oil pressure light and it just needed to be reset. It was a huge relief to have my car back so soon. I highly recommend.

Marty Main My older pickup truck has needed several things replaced due to its age. Firstly, the gas tank sensor failed to indicate the level of gas accurately. Due to supply chain issues and getting a timely repair completed, an after-market part was used. It proved inaccurate, too. After a few weeks, the OEM part from Ford was obtained and installed. All in all, the gas tank had to be removed three times, but I was only charged for one time. Most recently, the truck started showing signs of overheating on long and steep grades when "pushed" hard. A sticky thermostat was replaced under warranty and the fan clutch was also replaced, both of which helped the engine to run a bit cooler. However, the engine still would get hot under the same extreme conditions. Deeper troubleshooting revealed the original radiator was a bit clogged. Because the truck had to be brought in twice for the same problem, a new radiator was installed, labor-free. Chris and the team are great. I highly recommend Quality Automotive in Auburn, CA for all your FORD car or truck repairs and maintenance.

Steve Ide This is the second time Ive used this shop. So far, Ive been pleased with them. Chris (owner) is very personable and explains the services rendered and why. Being mechanical plus experienced with auto repairs myself, I can usually sense when Im being sold a bill of goods about my vehicle repairs. So I really appreciate his honesty and not trying to upsell me on unnecessary maintenance or repairs. This is what irritates me about dealerships. The constant upsell. What I also noticed was how neat and tidy his shop was. First impression is important to me because if a shop is dirty and disorganized, I figured that the work done on my vehicle would be the same. My vehicles are Fords, and this is a Ford shop. Theyre also Ford diesel experts as well, which is the main reason I chose them in the first place. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. In summary, I highly recommend this shop and will be having both my Ford vehicles (Diesel and gas engines) service here in the future.

Plant Nerd 4 Life I feel so fortunate to have meet Chris, the owner of Davis Auto Care. After 10years of being a loyal customer to another local Auto shop, I reluctantly had to look for a new mechanic. The former shop I was using had grown to service so many vehicles, which required having more employees, and as the business grew, the quality of the work on my vehicles grew to be unacceptable. Finding an owner operated shop has proven to be the ticket for quality service in my experience. I will no longer use any shop where the owner is not part of operations. Employees dont care about your vehicle the way a business owner does, the way Chris does! Simply put, since Chris is the business owner and the lead mechanic in the shop, he is in a NO excuse situation to provide only the upmost best quality work, and so far, that has been my experience. Thank you Chris for figuring out (in 2 days!) what my former auto shop couldnt fix in over a 5 month period!... Im so grateful for you getting me back on the road!!! I am actually looking forward to my next automobile need, so we can continue to iron out the shenanigans left by my former mechanics employees after the business owner stopped participating in operations... many thanks! The needed repair is always taken care of with complete fairness of price and still a thorough excellent job. SM H STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. Absolutely the WORST. This guy has no idea what he is doing. Mis-diagnosed the vehicle, put on parts it did not need. I did not know about the CA Bureau of Auto Repair @ the time or I would have reported them. The shop that ultimately fixed it called and told them they better make it right. The absolute wirst nghmer I ever had for car repair in over 50 years. BEWARE

Gin was very helpful & thorough in explaining all I needed to know about the rental process & I really appreciated that! But even before that, she called to check in with me when I hadnt shown up for my rental & gave me advice on a reliable taxi service. When it was time to return, Robert was equally as helpful as Gin with the return process. I just want to say that I have never encountered a business that really goes above & beyond customer service as much as these folks. They genuinely care about helping their customers. Thank you Gin and Robert for being a breath of fresh air for us in our week of obstacles. Im so glad I chose your shop! SJ Blacksmith Truly a great place to take your car/truck. The folks at Gins were outstanding, honest, with integrity, and attention to detail. They set up the appropriate expectations for a very difficult and unique challenge, for our beloved 1954 Chevy 3100 truck. They have the right connections to get quality parts and work accomplished. Nico Vasquez Rick is simply the best mercedes mechanic on the entire west coast of the U.S, he is extremely fair and knowledgeable - only working on mercedes vehicles. Cannot recommend him enough.

Brian Beiriger Rick has been taking care of our Mercedes for 4 years now, and he is fantastic. He does great work, is intuitive when it comes to diagnosing problems, and is very reasonably priced. He makes owning and maintaining a Mercedes a reasonable prospect! A bit out of the way, but I can’t recommend him highly enough!

Both times the service was thorough, pleasant, great communication, dealt directly with the insurance and made it smooth for me. Both times my car came back looking even better that it was before. This is the place to go if you never a car repair and have high expectations.
