Duane Healing Honestly its kind of weird for me to drive my car without having to clear a check engine message every time I start it up. The guys went through and fixed a number of issues my vehicle was having and it finally passed smog so I could get my registration up-to-date. I only knocked off one star for it taking a bit longer than I was hoping. 4 1/2 really.

Mistie Clark So we went to vacuum our vehicle. Every station was filled and overflowing with trash. Where you park to vacuum your vehicle is littered with trash. From underwear to other equally nasty items. The car washes were flooded as well. I was shocked to see that they have been in business for so long, with such neglect.

Salif Bamakora The skip panel on the undercarriage of my car was removed to change the oil and came loose before I got home. The oil change itself was legit, but I now am missing fasteners and can’t drive above 45 without the panel flapping. They offered to repair it, but that’s another session of waiting in line for the repair. Update: I added some screws to the skid plate to be able to drive the car to town without the loose skid plate flapping. I brought my car in for the promised repairs, waited for about 30 minutes while they “fixed” it and was told it was “all set”. When I came home I looked to check the repair, only to see that it was exactly as I had left it. So they lied to me about fixing it and wasted 30 minutes of my time. I won’t ever go back!

Naama Z Went in for an oil change last month, service was quick, in and out in 10 min or so. The next day I checked my oil level and noticed that I was overfilled by a lot. I called up the office and needless to say I was upset and asked to speak with management. Ricky was present, listened to what I had to say and immediately offered to come out to where I was and help resolve the issue. Sure enough within 20 min he showed up, and started working on draining any excess oil from my car. When he was finished and as we were making sure everything looked accurate on the dipstick, I had started to doubt myself. There were 2.5 quarts of oil that he drained, which is a lot, and didn’t seem to make any sense as the car would have showed signs of this much overfill on the way home. At this point I recalled having replaced the dipstick in the recent past. I told him this, and he was nice enough to suggest that I come in, free of charge to redo the service just to be sure that it is done correctly and the exact amount is filled. The next day I came in, had everything drained and filled again, we all checked the dipstick together and turns out that it was incompatible and showing a wrong reading! Moral of the story kids is probably best to not buy car parts on Amazon unfortunately. And 100% best to go get serviced at this location of Oil Changers !! Great service and awesome and kind management and staff. Thank you guys so much I will be back for sure.

Aaron Palmer Never go here. They tried to charge me $500 to replace one tire. They said it couldnt be fixed / plugged. I had to go with roadside assistance instead. When roadside arrived, they said its just a nail. And fixed it, no problems, for a tiny fraction of the costs. Neighborhood Automotive is scamming people.

Rick Burns I have been trusting my vehicles with the Volz family since the 70’s. You won’t find a cleaner shop. They are still just as professional, efficient, and reliable as the day John started his business. Their troubleshooting and diagnosis is spot on. More than once the dealerships couldn’t determine my car’s issues. On one occasion the dealership wanted to replace the axles on my front wheel drive vehicle. John took it for a short drive and said all I needed were new brake pads. He was right and saved me a bunch of money. Although I no longer live in Grass Valley I continue to drive an hour to get my car serviced. They are the best!

And there was a bit of a miscommunication between the man who worked the counter and myself. In my previous experiences with shops, they shrug and put the burden on you as the customer. But at Certified Automotive Repair in Grass Valley they are some people that you can really trust and in the end they made sure to take care of me and compensated me. I recommend them as a 34 year resident of Grass Valley who has used many mechanics. Im on my way to pick up my vehicle from there now.

Marty Main My older pickup truck has needed several things replaced due to its age. Firstly, the gas tank sensor failed to indicate the level of gas accurately. Due to supply chain issues and getting a timely repair completed, an after-market part was used. It proved inaccurate, too. After a few weeks, the OEM part from Ford was obtained and installed. All in all, the gas tank had to be removed three times, but I was only charged for one time. Most recently, the truck started showing signs of overheating on long and steep grades when "pushed" hard. A sticky thermostat was replaced under warranty and the fan clutch was also replaced, both of which helped the engine to run a bit cooler. However, the engine still would get hot under the same extreme conditions. Deeper troubleshooting revealed the original radiator was a bit clogged. Because the truck had to be brought in twice for the same problem, a new radiator was installed, labor-free. Chris and the team are great. I highly recommend Quality Automotive in Auburn, CA for all your FORD car or truck repairs and maintenance.

Steve Ide This is the second time Ive used this shop. So far, Ive been pleased with them. Chris (owner) is very personable and explains the services rendered and why. Being mechanical plus experienced with auto repairs myself, I can usually sense when Im being sold a bill of goods about my vehicle repairs. So I really appreciate his honesty and not trying to upsell me on unnecessary maintenance or repairs. This is what irritates me about dealerships. The constant upsell. What I also noticed was how neat and tidy his shop was. First impression is important to me because if a shop is dirty and disorganized, I figured that the work done on my vehicle would be the same. My vehicles are Fords, and this is a Ford shop. Theyre also Ford diesel experts as well, which is the main reason I chose them in the first place. The front office staff are friendly and helpful. In summary, I highly recommend this shop and will be having both my Ford vehicles (Diesel and gas engines) service here in the future.
