Tina Andruss Apparently when batteries (there are 2) are approaching failure on S-class Mercedes, alerts go berzerk. Our car completely shut down. After a 40 minute wait it returned to drivable, we contacted shop, and Danny said "bring it in now". He deployed his diagnostic computer, (low batteries), ordered and replaced same day, and we were safe to make our 9 hour trip back home to San Diego. Wonderful experience! Hes top-qualified Mercedes mechanic.

Tiffany Bruce We have found our new tech. When you have a Mercedes, your average tech just wont do. That is coming from an auto tech wife. You want someone that knows your import inside and out. This is the place for that. We had our GLK 350 in, this guy told us stuff about our car we didnt even know about! He takes the time to explain what is needed. Very professional. Affordable. We feel he is the best. Side note, we drive over 2 hours for his services.

Esan Rez I would highly recommend this guy’s . They are fast, honest and fair. They are very skilled and knowledgeable. Got me back on the road after an axle broke on my new Toyota Tundra which was fixed once with Toyota dealer in Petaluma unprofessionally and broke again just after 9 miles of driving!!!! They found the issue fast , communicating with me perfectly ordered proper parts and now I feel my car drive even better than before!

Andrew Taeuffer I wont go anywhere else now. I made the mistake of going to Local Heroes for a while and paid for it dearly with the highest prices Ive ever seen. These guys at Petaluma Auto Works are extremely fair with thier pricing and they get to the issues quickly. Cannot recommend enough. Will be bringing all of my fleet and personal vehicles here from now on. A+

Valerie George New customer here. Had an issue that another shop couldn’t fix. North Bay auto couldn’t find the issue bc the check engine light was reset. After dine test driving- the car drove fine. He looked further into the issue and found the problem. Big job to fix but now it drives like a gem! Highly recommend this shop!

mister mitch This shop is very friendly, and he will be very honest with you. I had my air conditioner looked at by another shop in town, they wanted a great deal of money to replace a compressor. I took it to ATA Auto, and he looked at it for free and told me it just needed to be charged. He charged it for a reasonable cost and my air conditioner works great! Hes a one man show so its best to leave your car if you can. Hes very, very, very good.

Sandra Luna If you have a hybrid or an electric car and you need service, go here! Mesh was the best! Not only was he polite and responsive but he explained what he did and he was sooooo diligent! My car had rats living under the hood so we didn’t know what the problem was but he figured it out and when he repaired it, he tested it three or more times before he gave it back to me. Wow. This is what I call service.

Glenn Corey Have taken my Prius there a number of times. 100% competent and trustworthy. One time my car was making a strange noise. I brought it in and found that the replacement muffler was not installed correctly. He quickly fixed the problem and, to my surprise, didnt charge me. He has also replaced my main battery (after 264,000 miles) and had the best price around.

Ryan Kramer I was a customer several years ago. Ernesto and his crew helped with and engine removal and install on my 73 Charger, as well as a very complicated fuel injection modification. Ernesto went above and beyond for over a year to help get my car, a family heirloom, back on the road! He taught me so much during the build and everyone made me feel more like a friend than a client. They value their clients and are the epitome of the trustworthy mechanic!

betsy R Cannot say enough good stuff about Ernesto and his company. My sons ignition, failed, trapping the key in it, in the on position. My son wanted to try to fix it himself so he can have it back ASAP. Called Bosch automotive they got us in the same day. We had already purchased the parts he put the new part in. Had the car back in about four or five hours at a super reasonable price. Could not thank him and his shop enough will definitely recommend him and use him going forward. Thanks again!!!! Tom Greenaway Purchased a pre-owned 2016 Toyota Rav4 here in May 2019 and have had excellent experience with the car. Have received two email notifications about upcoming maintenance checkups since then and I scheduled appointments easily within two days of the notice and both visits were completed within 90 minutes of my arrival at their service department. Spacious waiting areas with coffee and selection of snacks available. Wherever you decide to wait they will find you when your car is ready. Quick & Easy.

thanh-nhi nguyen This place is a scam. I called to book just oil change appointment and the lady gave me a quote of $90 for synthetic oil. I agree with the price. When I came for the appointment, the guy said my total would be $81. I ask is it synthetic oil and the guy said yes. I came back 2 hrs later, he said my total would be $115. His reason is the oil that they use is synthetic and no next to change for the next 10,000 miles. I always change my oil every 5,000 miles with synthetic oil as preventative. However the problem is everyone can give any range of price that they like. They have no standards price for any services.

Judy Kurt and Marty are trustworthy and very knowledgable about VW’s (probably other cars too, but I’m a VW owner). My VW has been under their care since I’ve owned it. Other than routine maintenance I’ve had zero problems with the car.

Sean Leddy I was visiting family in Petaluma and needed some unexpected repairs on my Vanagon . Kurt was able to diagnose the problem and fix it for me super quickly! He found a couple of other small issues and took care of those too. The cost was reasonable and the van is running much better! I highly recommend anyone with a VW consider them for their repair needs. Thanks Kurt!

Victoria Thomas The staff over at this place helped took care of our vehicles( mine and my moms) in case things went wrong with them. Definitely going to refer this place to my other family members and friends (like my boyfriends and his familys vehicles in case they need any type of service, including my boyfriends moms car. Dmitry Rogachev Great small machine shop, running by both Norms - father and son. Unlike many other hops around they are working late (open until 6pm, often stay longer, and might work on Saturdays), ready to help and doing excellent job. Price is reasonable. Just great guys! Thank you!

merton preston These guys are the real deal. One of the oldest machine shops in the area. Norm started here in the mid 70s at Preston Automotive Center. He has continued to flourish with his son Norm Jr at their current location. Jr is an established local sprint car driver (32) and builds high performance motors at the shop. No job too small. From broken bolts to turning drums to 800+ horsepower, they get it done!

Captain Haul it All I swear by G&C! Such professional work. The whole team is always going above and beyond to suit the customers needs and go above and beyond customer satisfaction. I just wanna give a shout out to Steven Peterson and Linda as well for making this such a simple Stress-free process!

provost michele I really like these people. They charged me less than the estimate they had given me. One of the employees noticed something on my car that was not right, and he just took a few minutes and fixed it then and there, no charge!
