Hoag Health Center Irvine - Sand Canyon 16405 - Irvine Veronica Potter: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hoag Health Center, Genetic Testing in Irvine. At the time of testing, I was explicitly told that my out-of-pocket cost would not exceed $395. However, I was later shocked to receive a bill for $945—more than double the quoted amount!
I reached out to financial services numerous times in an effort to resolve this issue. Despite being assured that my case would be reviewed and researched, no meaningful assistance was provided. Instead, I received a notice threatening collections. When I called again and offered to pay the originally quoted amount of $395, I was informed this was unacceptable. The only concession they made was a mere 10% discount, which hardly addressed the problem.
BEWARE if you’re considering Hoag Health Center for genetic testing or any other services. Their lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve billing disputes is unacceptable. There’s a reason they aren’t ranked #1, and my experience highlights why.
UCI Health Gottschalk Medical Plaza - Irvine Joy Loverro: Very expert, experienced and friendly practitioners who are bent on relieving pain! They accommodate your schedules and last minute needs like for me because I am frequently out of the country. They always fit me in! Thsnkyou for trying so hard!
Hoag Hospital - Irvine - Irvine Dr. Mehrdad Rostami: Hoag Hospital Emergency Room deserves five stars for their outstanding care and professionalism. My wife recently visited for her broken wrist, and we were fortunate to have been helped by Physician Assistant Mrs. Sillers and her assistant Anthony. They were both incredibly kind, patient, and knowledgeable.
The level of expertise they demonstrated was exceptional. They performed tension and manipulation under X-ray to realign the broken part with great skill and gentleness. It was clear they were not only experts in their field but also deeply caring in their approach.
I truly thank Mrs. Sillers, Anthony, and the rest of the team for their compassionate and thorough care. We are so grateful for the excellent treatment my wife received.

Kaiser Permanente Orange County - Irvine Medical Center - Irvine Aaron Cathcart: I was recently admitted to Kaiser Sand Canyon for numerous serious issues and I couldnt be happier with the care I received. From kitchen staff, cleaning staff. Technicians, Nurses and Doctors they all treated me with respect and made sure I was comfortable at all times. I dont believe that I have ever received better care.
Joe C. Wen & Family Center for Advanced Care - Irvine Maxine Gold: Every time that I have appointments at the Wen Center, I have a feeling that the staff really cares about the patients!! I am always treated with the respect and kindness . The staff is always very supportive and pleasant. Now all of my doctors are located there except one who is in another UCI location nearby. From the lab to the doctors offices to the imaging center,everything was good.
Hoag Health Center - Irvine - Woodbridge - Irvine Dan Johnson: As a prospective patient looking for a new physician (to get a simple flu shot) I attemtped to find a Hoag physician and apparently none in OC have any availability for the next 3 months (this is what I see online and what I was told after calling Hoag to ask). Thats absolutely ridiculous! Why would I join a healthcare system that cant provide timely healthcare? Guess Hoag doesnt want my premium health insurance $. Their competitors are looking like a better bet at this point.
UPDATE: I was able to find a new primary care physician in the UCI Healthcare system and didnt even have to wait! They were fast and accommodating, unlike Hoag.
Family Care Centers - Irvine - Irvine Augusto Peraza: I am very disappointed with my recent experience at this physician’s office. My wife and I scheduled physicals to get routine blood work done, and we were seen together in the same appointment. The only difference was that I mentioned my history of high cholesterol, which I’ve managed through exercise after stopping medication three years ago. Despite this, I was issued a single lipid test, while my wife received the standard three-part lipid test typically included in a physical. To make matters worse, I was charged $115 for the office visit and had to pay out of pocket for the blood work, while my wife incurred no costs. Essentially, I received less care for a higher price.
Furthermore, I called the office to inquire about this bill, and unfortunately, they offered no help or assistance. It has been a month, and the manager still has not returned my call.
I would advise future patients to be cautious when mentioning any past medical history during a physical at this office, as it may result in unnecessary costs. Additionally, based on my experience, it may be more cost-effective to visit an urgent care facility for minor concerns, especially for those with PPO insurance, as my last urgent care visit only cost $65.
