1 /5 Veronica Potter: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Hoag Health Center, Genetic Testing in Irvine. At the time of testing, I was explicitly told that my out-of-pocket cost would not exceed $395. However, I was later shocked to receive a bill for $945—more than double the quoted amount! I reached out to financial services numerous times in an effort to resolve this issue. Despite being assured that my case would be reviewed and researched, no meaningful assistance was provided. Instead, I received a notice threatening collections. When I called again and offered to pay the originally quoted amount of $395, I was informed this was unacceptable. The only concession they made was a mere 10% discount, which hardly addressed the problem. BEWARE if you’re considering Hoag Health Center for genetic testing or any other services. Their lack of transparency and unwillingness to resolve billing disputes is unacceptable. There’s a reason they aren’t ranked #1, and my experience highlights why.

2 /5 Annie Preston: I went to Hoag Health Center in Irvine for their podiatry services. While the doctor I saw was very helpful, the level of customer service and decorum from the office staff left something to be desired. This was pretty disappointing considering Ive had great experiences at other Hoag locations. First of all, it is difficult to get a hold of anyone - I felt like I was always having to chase someone down for basic requests or answers. This included blood work orders, questions about medication side effects, refills, etc. The last straw was today when I reached out inquiring about a refill for a medication and was met with a rude and unhelpful response from one of the staff members. I havent even received any aftercare instructions for when the treatment is complete (Ive had to completely do my own research on this front). I plan to finish out the last bit of treatment I have left, but I will be seeking out other podiatry offices for any future needs after my experience with the Irvine Hoag Health Center admin/nursing staff.

1 /5 Heather Yoon: Please stay away from Hoag Irvine. If you have an emergency, please ask to be taken to a different ER. My mom was taken to the ER here - weve been here for 8 hours and we are still waiting for our MRI. They apparently have only one MRI machine across the entire hospital so its a constant waiting game. They keep putting others before us and will put pressure on you to stay overnight. Not a single nurse has proactively checked up on us during our 8 hour stay here. If you call for help, they will just forget about you and will not respond until youve ringed them 3x times. Even then, they will come after 45+ mins. I understand ERs can get crazy, but this is beyond ridiculous. Weve been really patient the entire day, yet Ive received no apology or empathy for the situation. No proactive communications / expectation setting from anyone here. We came here for the emergency medical attention she needs. Instead, weve basically been locked up in a room with no food / water allowed and not even the basic attention she needs. This has been a horrendous experience and I would never want to put my mom or any family member through this experience again. I had wonderful experience with Hoag Newport in the past - please go there instead.

5 /5 Kandy Benitez: I had a wonderful experience with my nurse & my doctor but at the end as I was requesting for my doctor note to be corrected on the date of care “Emily” the front desk lady is very rude & her demeanor was not a great ending & still left with pain due to my diagnosis for the day. People need to be really humble & not have a attitude because of their position, I worked with doctors and never in my life would want to work with a person with a attitude, if you’re going to be a nurse have some understanding please, there is no excuse to have a bad attitude.
