5 /5 Maxine Gold: Every time that I have appointments at the Wen Center, I have a feeling that the staff really cares about the patients!! I am always treated with the respect and kindness . The staff is always very supportive and pleasant. Now all of my doctors are located there except one who is in another UCI location nearby. From the lab to the doctors offices to the imaging center,everything was good.

I saw Dr. Michael L Krychman and he is the best gynecologist I have ever seen because he really cares about one’s concerns and wellbeing. I also saw the imaging department and they too are extremely supportive and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend this facility!

5 /5 Pat Ellis: All my doctors are excellent. The parking and accessibility are horrible. Wheelchair assistance does not exist. I have to hire a person to drop me off, park, come back to push me to dr office. there is now way for me to drive and park by myself. I really would appreciate a response from a person who has authority and I would like more than "sorry."

5 /5 Elaine Lang: I have had many appointments at The Joe C. Wen and Family Center for Advanced Care of UCI, and have had excellent, efficient and friendly care. Beside the medical benefit of expert doctors, the facility is beautiful, pleasant to be at, and easy to park or to be dropped off. Even if there is a short wait for my appointment, it is a relaxing time, light, airy with beautiful art work. It makes my medical appointment a better and easier experience.

Also, her ability to put in the IV was not painful and didnt leave a bruise! Not an easy task with me. Everyone I have encountered with UCI Health has treated me with such care!

Augusto Peraza: I am very disappointed with my recent experience at this physician’s office. My wife and I scheduled physicals to get routine blood work done, and we were seen together in the same appointment. The only difference was that I mentioned my history of high cholesterol, which I’ve managed through exercise after stopping medication three years ago. Despite this, I was issued a single lipid test, while my wife received the standard three-part lipid test typically included in a physical. To make matters worse, I was charged $115 for the office visit and had to pay out of pocket for the blood work, while my wife incurred no costs. Essentially, I received less care for a higher price. Furthermore, I called the office to inquire about this bill, and unfortunately, they offered no help or assistance. It has been a month, and the manager still has not returned my call. I would advise future patients to be cautious when mentioning any past medical history during a physical at this office, as it may result in unnecessary costs. Additionally, based on my experience, it may be more cost-effective to visit an urgent care facility for minor concerns, especially for those with PPO insurance, as my last urgent care visit only cost $65.

Arash Mehraban: They are scammers! They misdiagnosed a simple case of infection common during the winter, like the flu. They prescribed weak antibiotics (a misdiagnosis and incorrect treatment). Instead of prescribing stronger antibiotics, Dr. Arif ordered an unnecessary chest X-ray, which cost me $500, before correcting the mistake and prescribing more effective antibiotics. Never going back!

Steffanie Byrnes: I need a procedure under my left eye. I got an authorization a month ago. The referral was extremely vague, didnt explain anything about the procedure or even who I was seeing. I was told by a customer service the authorization was already sent. It was not. I finally talked to a nurse at the hospital that told me what to do. If there is a complex issue, customer service should work with you and trying to figure out what is going on. I really feel that this healthcare dropped the ball. I also didnt feel my concern was taken seriously. I will give it a second star of the third customer service representative sends the authorization. It should not be this hard to get a needed procedure. Nor should they lie and not bother to send the authorization over.

My doctor, Dr. Kong, patiently answered all my questions and took the time to provide thorough and attentive care. Since she is widely known for her exceptional skills, her schedule was always fully booked, which meant I had to travel between Irvine and Laguna. Despite that minor inconvenience, I was very satisfied with the overall experience.

Maggie Medina: Im a new patient, I called Dr. Hamiltons office to make an appointment but I was told that I couldnt get an appointment until I fill out some paperwork. I asked if I can make an appointment anyway and fill out the paperwork at my appointment and they said "NO, you have to fill the paperwork out first, then we will call you to make an appointment."! Its apparent that they care more about paperwork than actually helping people and making them feel better. With all these bad ratings that Ive see and my own personal experience with this doctors office...she (Dr. Hamilton) should lose her license and her practice due to the lack of care for peoples well being and sub par customer service. What a DISGRACE!
