Rashha Rohina This salon might be good for nails only, but please do not go for wax. I wish they clean the wax word from their door. I thought they really do wax. The wax room was basically storage. A dirty bed that I didn’t want to lay on. She was using the same stick for multiple dipping in the wax. Imagine she used the same wax for so many others, some may even had skin diseases. I canceled the service for my face and only did my hands. It took her forever to do it. She charged me double because i told her to do the parts that I could still see the hair. During the service all she was talking was about the cost. When I left I still had hair on my hands.

Christina delToro-Diaz River Oaks Nails is a professional, accommodating and beautiful relaxing space to get pampered. Vi is a phenomenal manicurist and pedicurist and is super artistic. She is so kind and is always willing to fit me into her schedule. My nails always come out looking perfect in shape and the color application and design is always flawless! If you are looking for a place and a manicurist where you can just relax and come out looking beautiful every time, this is the place to go!

Deseree Walton She was in a rush the whole time and didnt take her time doing my nails so now theyre bumpy on the sides. And the nail polish isnt even on my whole nail its just on the top, the sides are all bare. She needs to slow down and make sure the nails are done good. I know its just one person but if the nails are perfect then people with come back and youll get regular customers. Plus she was a little rude, she should be nicer to customers.

Never seen a better nail technician than her. She also creates such a comfortable atmosphere and she’s nice to talk too. Totally recommend glitz glam!

Kimberly Schroeder Waited for 3 hours to have a fill done. As they’re cutting away from the lifted parts of the nails that have grown out. I lost a nail. Not only did I go in with my daughter to also have her nails and a pedicure done. As I’m getting my nails worked on the guy stop and leaves me there without explanation to move on to another customer and starts her nails. When he skips my daughter who was next. Then to have another lady come over and tell me he’s too tired to finish my set. Which is literally a basic medium set of nails with a solid color. As I’m sitting there filing my own nails. The lady comes to me after almost 30 mins with half done nails to finish mine. At this point I told her we didn’t want any other services. We had been there already 3 hours. She finally finished my nails and rings me up and charged me $47.00!!!! Are you serious. For a fill and a solid color!!! Safe to say she ripped me off and I will never ever go here again!!! Oh and to top it off. I was charged “more” bc I broke a nail!! Hmmm no I didn’t the guy broke it. I went in with all 10 nails on my hand

Alyssa I was quoted $90 for a full set, ombré,& 3d. I told her probably not 3d I’m undecided. So she says $85. I just wanted my nails done so I said we’ll see. She didn’t let me choose my inner color she chose glitter nude. She left saying it was “sexy”. Like what?!?. I chose my pink. But was nowhere where I wanted to look like the whole nail was pink. No ombré what so ever. She was super sloppy doing the 3d. So I told her. No I dnt want it anymore. She got mad and took it off. Started to clean my hands aggressively. I pulled away. She didn’t say anything to me. Put the oil. I declined my pedicure after.& did not tip. & ended up paying &70.& walked out. These pink polished nails were not worth it. I rather pay for money for a soak off,& I sure did.!

Alexandra Garcia Me and my girls went in for mani and pedis. We all got the same packages and for whatever reason we all had different experiences. One of my daughters didn’t even get a massage, one didn’t get the color we asked three times for. There is still gel polish all over our cuticles, the application is bumpy on all of our nails, cuticles look worse than before, and I’m sure they were talking about us because one of the ladies pointed at me while they were talking. There was still paraffin wax all over our feet, they didn’t get the corners of nails with polish, and they charged me an extra $10 for an “upcharge of service” when I didn’t ask for anything upgraded and barely got what was listed on the menu. My youngest said they were holding her fingers so tight it made her feel uncomfortable. My other daughter said they didn’t even file her nails so they’re different sizes. We were very disappointed and paid over $300 which basically is just down the toilet because we have to go somewhere else to get them fixed. For whatever reason it’s not letting me upload pics of our nails and receipt but this place is a scam.

Esperanza Torres Don’t waste your money or time. Especially on weekends. I asked for French tip nails after I told her that I wanted them and all she gave me were clear coat nails and said we will do French tips “next time”. I then asked for a solid color and she said “next time” again.

Susie G. I asked for a gel manicure and pulled up a photo of what I wanted and kept my phone on the whole time for the nail tech. At the beginning and end of the manicure she said “wow that is/was a lot”. Everything seemed fine until the nail art, messy lines, not uniform at all, completely unlike the photo provided. Although the nails look OK, it is not what I wanted and badly drawn. I attached the photo I provided them and the nails I received). I’m sure you can tell which is which). If your looking for decent nail art this is not the place.

Jacqueline Poe We love this place! They are always so attentive to detail and professional. This time Tamy did my daughters nails and she did not disappoint! She was very sweet and my daughter (14 year old introvert) said the conversation was really easy and Tamy was so sweet! We are both obsessing! The atmosphere is relaxing and if you want to pop some earbuds in and unwind, this is your place too!

Gave this place another try a year later. & they still have the same horrible service & ontop pf that they are sooo disrespectful. They charged my mom for a more pricer pedi when she received the basic one & we both nvr got message or moisturizer for our legs or feet, so rude &, they do the bare minimum!

Zoe Sessions Like any other salon I think who you see really makes the difference here. The salon is nice enough, clean and has reasonable prices. Nothing to write home about. Lynn is why I’m giving this place 5 stars and why I’ll come back!! She did a very nice pedicure and then an AMAZING acrylic full set with tips. Lynn was so attentive and detail oriented. She checked with me repeatedly on length and really focused on the thickness of the acrylic since I asked her to make them thin right before she started. By the time she was done with the acrylic I was happy, and then she filed them down! Seriously beautiful, probably the best set I’ve ever had!! Would’ve left them without polish even. Gorgeous, thank you Lynn!!

Amanda Casale I called about 30 minutes before they closed and they were more than happy to accommodate me for a full set. Im not sure of my nail technicians name but she had my nails done in 45 minutes. And apart from the polish being darker in some areas and almost see thru in others Im happy with what I paid $46, and Id definitely go back.

Angelica Rangel I went to get a full set with gel done, I had Julie do my nails. It seemed very rushed and I even showed her a picture of what I wanted, which was stilleto, and they ended up as almond/rounded nails. I did tell her which ones to fix up and she did and they looked better but no matter how many times I said I wanted them "pointy" or "sharper" she still didnt get it. Its been 5 days and the nails are already starting to lose their shine and becoming dull. I also noticed one of the nails seemed crooked because she didnt file it symmetrically, you can clearly see one side is filed more than the other and I told her this but she said it was just how my nail and finger are....this was my first and will be my last time coming here. Update (a week and 2 days since getting them done): two of my nails popped off easily and upon closer inspection and picking, a few of them are already chipping and falling off. I attached pictures of the day I got them and recently.

Stephanie Franco Horrible service. The first time they did a horrible job but since my salon was closed i decided to give them another chance. The lady did a horrible job. I asked for a crisp straight toe and she slanted my toe nail. It’s dirty the floors,took,towels look gross and the atmosphere isn’t pleasant. Karen Clemente 1st time here and an amazing experience overall!!! I’ve never had more comfortable nails and the ladies gave really good customer service. Soo is a sweetheart she treated me so gently and took her time. I’d definitely be back for fills etc. Think I found my new favorite salon!!! Gel X is actually really great so far. I love that I didn’t have to real with the acrylic smell especially since I’m pregnant.

INSPO INSPO DOLL I usually come here for nail soak offs. I usually let one lady there do them but this time somebody else did my soak off. While doing my nail soak off, I told her that she was drilling my nails too hard she kept apologizing but proceeded to do my soak off. The next day my natural nails were red and irritated. I complained to the manager and told the girl that did my soak off & was told it was my fault and it was because of my previous nails?? They didn’t do anything to fix my situation. I went to my doctor to check my nails and was told I had fungus in all my nails. I had to take meds for months to get rid of the nail fungus they caused due to dirty tools they use! PLEASE DO NOT LET THEM DO YOUR NAILS!!!!!!

veronica valles I made an appointment for my daughter and me, and we arrived on time. When we arrived, my daughter was seated immediately, and I was asked to wait. Shortly after, One staff member was kind enough to have me sit at the station ( one customer getting service soon to find out it was a sister of the owner) and start the water for me. I was very appreciative since I had just gotten off work and couldn’t wait to relax and do something for myself. I was sadly disappointed with the service done on my toes. I was not shown a menu or offered any packages—one of the quickest services I have ever had on my toes. However, I didn’t go in to get in and out. I wanted to pamper myself. The young lady who attended to me did not offer any packages, no scrubbing of my feet, no trimming of my toenails, no shaping of my toenail and the worst of it no light massage. Expect to pay 60 dollars for watering your feet and painting your toes. I had no energy to voice my disappointment at the time. However, my daughter had a different experience than me. Lol my luck

Their prices are affordable and the people are so sweet. The pedicure was gentle, the sugar scrub smelled and felt amazing, and the attention to detail for the painting was a nice touch.

Evelyn I don’t usually get my nails done, but I decided to treat myself for my college graduation. Got a basic manicure and pedicure with French tip on both. The price was decent, the worker was nice and her work looked good. Then, 6 hours after getting it done, I took a shower. The tips started to chip and random lines I have never seen before started to show up in my nails. I don’t have time to get them redone. They are just going to look horrible for my big day. The pictures shown were taken the same day I got my nails done.

Crystal C I was very hesitant to go here after reading the reviews but still gave it a try and can say, I’m not coming back. I’m not happy with the color and work done. I can blame the color on me but the work could’ve came out more professional. There’s part of my nails that aren’t painted, there’s lumps, & the lady left paint on my skin. Chelsea Gallardo I payed $60+ for this. I went on 4/13/25, I look at my nails once the male was done and there was acrylic inside under my nail and on my skin. It looked as if I attempted to do my own nails for the first time. I asked the man if he can at least take the acrylic off from my under my nail he responded with saying it’ll come off once I wash them. I washed them inside the salon nothing came off obviously. I got French done and one nail had the white French color sooo crooked I almost cried I told him and he responded with that’s why I should’ve payed attention!!!! There is no way. My acrylic nail was lifted off my actual nail? I just can’t believe I spent this much money and such a horrible job. We work hard for our money so it can be taken this lightly on doing someone’s nails and not even acknowledging the horrible job.

Ashley Jurado I’ve had my nails done multiple times from different spas/salons and honestly almost every time I’ve been disappointed. Whether that be the shape, it being bulky, or just straight up terrible design. I came in honestly not expecting much because of past experience with others. I got both a mani and pedi and both were excellent. My nails had damage from previous nails and a big dip, she filled it and made sure my nail was smooth. The whole design she drew by hand and when I told her I wanted glitter she made sure to talk to me about what she would work best and added more. Honestly the pictures do not do it justice. The first was the day afterwards and the last two are two weeks later, no breaks or chips which is very impressive for me because I am super rough on my nails. If you aren’t sure you should go! They are super nice and friendly and the owner has amazing skills! Currently in the car on the way to get them done here again!

I got in with Son for a new set of gel x but was suggested to just guse t a fill. Very happy with the final product and service. Zoyla Gonzalez I’ve gone to just about every nail salon in Bakersfield over the years and I’ve never been as satisfied with my nails as I am now! They did such a great job on me and my daughter! Staff was super nice and went above and beyond to meet our expectations! We got there pretty late and even though they stayed way past closing time they do not rush anything. I’m telling all my family and friends about this place and never going anywhere else. I found my new nail salon. Love this place!

Jennifer Dooley-Padilla My feelings towards Darling Nails are mixed. Ive gone here for years, since before Covid and loved them. Since Covid, the quality and customer service has declined. I loved the way Andy did my nails, but he left. For my wedding in May I came here with my maid of honor, and we had to just take off the new set and go with press-ons It was a waste of money. Where my biggest issue lies is quality of service matching prices. In the past, Ive had my skin rubbed raw from filing (with the electric one!). This last time, my nails were filed so aggressively my finger started bleeding. After I left, my fingers were raw to the touch. The nail shape was not correct and the speciality color I expected to pay more for didnt match the quality in the book AT ALL. After paying $62 I left with my gel polish already coming off, polish on my fingers, goopy top coat, dried acrylic on my fingers that I have to fix and clean up, and raw fingers that hurt to touch anything. It felt like a complete waste of time and money. I want to be loyal, but I dont think they care about customer service anymore. They look cute from a distance, so I guess thats good.

Jones Cornelia “CJ” I had the deluxe mani/pedi. Andy and Pam took care of my hands and feet, respectively. Both did an outstanding job with the massage and nail care. It is one the best mani/pedi that I have ever had. Both took care to apply the polish as close to cuticle as possible, no gaps!!! Pam even added a sparkle top coat for a little pizzazz!

M Vasquez I let the manicurist know these were my real nails and I wanted to keep the length, they then went over them with the filing machine six times weakening my nails. You can see the redness through my nail after he sanded them down so much. After I got the gel done, I immediately broke two nails within the day and more throughout the week. Sucks because I liked this place before this occurred
