Phantasia Brendez Went in for a fill and the lady messed up my shape the polish is cakey. She missed parts of my nails for the fill so it dips in by my cuticles. The polish is also done bad. Paid 50 for this. She was rushing through it so she could go home. I understand that she wanted to go but you didnt close until 7 pm I got there at 545 and had to have my nails redone for work and it was the only place still open at that time.

Michael Fortenberry My wife and I had a wonderful experience at Crystal’s Nail and Spa the other day. The staff was friendly and very helpful in helping us select the best pedicure for what we wanted to send on ourselves. The whole experience was fantastic and we highly recommend Crystals to anyone looking for a good nail and spa place.

Cynthia Flores I had given them a great review a while back but I’ve been consistently disappointed with service and quality the last few times. After this last service I will not be going back. I got a gel manicure a day before vacation and it looked nice. 2 days later (I was out of town already) one of the gels chipped. Then a few days after the gel edges started to lift a little and it just did not look nice anymore. I was gone for a week and went back to salon about 12 days after the service and I explained what happened but I was only offered excuses. No apologies and not even a discount for a redo. The tech said it was peeling because my nails were too thin (it had been 9 months since I had had gel and this had never happened to me before). But when he was removing the gel it literally just peeled away without any effort. That’s when he did say something about my base not being done right because he was able to just peel off. Still no apologies or discount. I paid for a new set plus gratuity. Photo is what they looked like on the day I went back to salon. There were a few chips on the other hand as well but not as much.

Josie Wilson Ive been going to Serenity Nails for years but it wasnt until recently that they got an awesome nail tech. Love his work!!!

The worst manicure, the manicurist didnt soak my nails in hot water or take the time to clean the cuticles of the nails it always seems that they are in a hurry even if they dont have customers waiting and I gave them another chance and I only asked for change the gel on the nails and she did it in such a hurry that they were horrible and the worst thing was that she removed the previous gel using just the machine and left my nails super fragile and thin! Ill never come back!!!

Rhonda Got a basic pedicure here, and they couldnt do it right. The pedicure lady rushed through it and left my nails looking like they werent done. They offered to fix it, and it still looked the same. And all the manager offered was a sorry and a shrug,which does nothing to fix the problem. Pictures 1, 3, and 4 were the first attempt, and picture 2 is the "fix"

Arianna Harvey I’ve been coming here for the past 3 years and didn’t matter who i got because they always did such a good job! Recently i found Anna and i absolutely love her! I decided the first time that she is my go to! Her personality it’s amazing it’s never an awkward silence because she chats it up and i love it. I trust her completely with my nails because i hate having the trendy long nails (i need to be able to grip and close my fists completely) she lets me know what she’s doing and tells me all the time to let her know if something hurts or burns. So basically 5 stars for Anna!! I’m just sad that i found here when I’m about to move to the east coast :(

Georgina Martinez I have been coming to City Nails for many years. The service is great. The prices are very reasonable. Its always nice and clean and they stay true to their hours. If you are looking for nice and long term nail tech. this is a good place for that. What I mean is I personally dont like to have different people working on me every time I get my nails done. I like to be able to build a relationship with my nail technician. That way they know what I like/dislike. This is a good place to visit for that type of thing. In my opinion.

nicole wade The job I received today was unprofessional terrible and on top of the the nail tech told me it was my fault because it was what I wanted. let me make this very clear I strongly believe that no one would want this, I was there for 3 and a half hours getting my nails done and she still had the audacity to tell me I made her feel bad about her “hard work” she had done after her answering FaceTime calls, counting money, and having full on conversation with other coworkers keep in mind all while doing my nails, ladies I think we can all agree that we just sit there and they’re the ones that get paid to give us what we want and if they can’t do what they’re asked of they shouldn’t be doing them at all It was a very disturbing situation never have I had this happen to me and at the end I still had to pay 40$ It was very disappointing!!!!

Kalyn Gomez I love coming here. Im always treated with respect and everyone is so nice and accommodating of my kids. They always do so good on helping get rid of the ingrown toenails I have. The building is always clean and they use cleaned materials.

Amber Peabody Ive been coming here for 10+ years. Helen and Li are the best. Li is my go to for the perfect pedi. The prices are good and I always leave feeling refreshed and relaxed. My husband even requests a Pedi with Li once in a while. Right now I get a regular mani and Pedi with Sea salt and paraffin. This is the ultimate relaxation. Highly recommend

Ashlee Westmoreland Nail tech seemed nice at first but is very pushy and rough if you don’t take her recommendations. She cut me after immediately starting my pedicure. From there she didn’t do much of what was listed on the service sheet. She didn’t clean my cuticles at all. She cut my nails filed them and immediately began painting them. After she painted them she was very rough in scrubbing my feet and going through the motions of applying the lotion literally took her 15min to do my pedicure. I finished before a lady that had been there long before me. She wanted to do an overlay for my manicure and I didn’t want that she insisted and I said no thank you. She began to roughly trim my nails and cuticles. She painted them tried to fix one that she smudged but did a bad job. I sat and let my nails dry for 10 min as instructed. My nails smudged as soon as I got in the car. Other techs seemed nice and thorough. However this is my first and last time at otay nails

Claudia Johnson I needed my nails done badly let me just say Im used to going to just my girl but I was far away from her and I could not wait to see her. I went to Otay nails from reading a review and Im definitely NOT disappointed.. I had an appt and didnt wait too long for them to help me out.. Megan did my full set and I love them .. unfortunately I did not get the name of the young lady that did my feet but she did an amazing job I would definitely recommend this nail shop my only wish is that I lived closer to the shop.

Rafamama Did a nice job with my french pedicure, but the leg massage was nothing more than a quick lotion rub, and I was surprised that they charge extra for full gel polish service when they barely used any for only the white tips. Overall average, but decent service.

Melissa smith 45$ for basic gel polish manicure. Last place I went made the almond shape uneven, she was able to fix the shape and make everything even. The only thing I wasnt thrilled with the old gel polish removal, they used the Dremel tool instead of soaking off. Happy with the outcome, would return.

Erika Carrillo Im giving this place 1 out of 5 stars (which i wish i could give a Zero bit it wont let me)because the women working there this last Saturday were completely unprofessional and extremely rude. There was a sweet young girl that went to get her "back to school" nails done and she left completely uncomfortable and saddened because the grown women working there were talking bad about the young lady and little did they know that she herself can speak Vietnamese. How dare they behave that way when people are paying good money for a professional and positive experience. Definitely recommending the people I know to get their services done elsewhere.

Thereal_RN Today I had the worst experience as a regular customer. Since I moved to Chula Vista I have been going to this nail salon for a year and 1/2 while Lisa was doing my nails I had a problem with the length based on her putting on the nails and doing the first cut I didn’t realize it would be that long. I told her after she cut it that I didn’t think it would be that long and would like a cut. She then told me to wash my hands to move in the next process and then I reminded her I needed a cut down she began to roll her eyes and catch an attitude saying why I didn’t ask for it before. I said I did and since that time until the end of my service she started to talk in her language to others, have an attitude and handle my hands roughly. At the end she ask if I was gonna add a tip and because I said no she had even more attitude. Like do your professionalism deserve a tip you should be embarrassed to ask for a tip after how u act. I am not a problematic person so I just let her finish and then leave I will not be returning to this nail salon over a small situation cause a customer to never return. my friend was also there and told me she could see a difference in how she started to treat me after stating I just need a cut down and felt she was rude. I work hard for my money and I am a paying customer I am not beginning you to do my nails. I will not be treated anyway in a business place that should be professional. This is very upsetting because I have been supporting this business from day one .

Jody Clark Happy I came here! My nail tech was very nice. I showed her what I wanted and got exactly that! I love that she used different techniques to try and get the right shading and blending for the base of my nail. I didn’t get her name but she was amazing! I’m definitely will be coming back here!

I C I was very happy with my gel manicure. Tommy, Did a great job! He even managed to Use some type of magnet to give me a type of swirl. These colors are very soft but different. I never had this Before so I was very excited to get get them done. This plaza is located right off.The freeway on the 805 south.

Roxanna Rodriguez Clean and nice. Overall good job. Didnt hurt me and was proffesional. For $70 i feel like I couldve gotten a design or something not just the white tips acrylics. But hopefully they last and then it will completly be worth it. ****Update!! Its been almost a 4 weeks and they lasted! Def worth it. Second pic is of refill. "Kim" does an awesome coffin!

Tracy Moreno I do not recommend this salon. The lady that did my toes didnt even know how to do any toe design except one flower. The guy that did my fill was horrible. Nails are uneven and he cut my side pinky and was very rough. While I was getting my pedicure the nail guy is trying to do my nails Im turned sideways very uncomfortable didnt even get to enjoy my massage which was 2 strokes down each leg she didnt even massage my feet. I DO NOT recommend this salon.. Waste of money!!!

Bianca Reynoso I have been following Montse from all the different locations since 2015. She is the only one who has been able to get my nails how I truly want them. Her attention to detail, the time she takes, and her own self reflection on her work truly shows. The nail studio is clean, spacious, and has so much variety for nail techs to do any design you may please.

Mylinda Clark I’ve been a client of Montse for over 5 years. Her service is impeccable, salon is always clean and staff is friendly. I have my appointments every three weeks and in that time, my nails don’t break, lift or crack. Montse has completely changed my nail health. I’m in the process of growing my natural nails out with acrylic overlay and not one nail has broke since I’ve started this in October 2023. Montse knows her products and I 100% trust her.

Claudia Alcazar My favorite place. I love coming here for some “ME” time and getting pampered. Montse is amazing at what she does and always takes care of me. The shop is super clean and the decor is cute and modern. It’s a whole vibe from the music to the convos with Montse. I’m a client for life!

I have been going to Angel the only nail stylist that works there for the past 11 years never had I ever had a problem with my nails and always spend 100+ anytime I told her I didn’t like them or if she could add or change, she would never had a problem until yesterday September 11, 2024 went to get my nails done like I usually do every two weeks and when I went to tell her that I didn’t like something on my nails mind you I showed her the picture before I asked her to do the set. She told me she could do it When we were finished it wasn’t what I wanted so I asked her if she could fix it. I’m a rhinestone girl and a nail art person so all I did was ask her if she could add a couple rhinestones to fill out the butterfly so they can look like butterflies they didn’t look like butterflies at all she upfront told me no I’m not doing it it’s too much if you want it you’re gonna pay more we had already agreed on a price when I showed her the inspiration picture I had no rhinestones on my nails and the picture I showed her had rhinestones and flowers again when I asked her can you please fix it. It’s what I’m paying for. She told me it’s too much. I’m not gonna do it , so I told her you know what I’m sorry I do not like them. I Don’t like them. proceeds to grab my hand and yank me towards her so hard my phone went flying. My AirPods went flying. She knocked over all of her nail powders and equipment in the process of yanking me towards her. She broke my phone screen and threaten to cut my nails off I told her no we don’t need to cut them off. I just want them to be fixed a little bit, then proceeded to start breaking her equipment i got up and walked out. I did not pay for her services. She was very unprofessional very disrespectful and she laid her hands on me again I spend over $120 with her each time I go get my nails done , I will never go to her again after 11 years. I have never been treated the way she treated me. And I am a very loyal client I have never in years, went to another nail tech, and now I have too jump around and find a new nail tech.i had to go to the nail salon down the street to get my nails fixed. An I’m currently replacing my phone screen NEVER AGAIN WILL I SPEND MONEY WITH YOU ANGEL….

CHRISTINA The lady who did my nails a month and a half ago had done a great job! None of them have broken or lifted. This photo is of my nails before my fill. Im getting ready to get a fill. Im allergic to gel polish and was able to get my top coat because she was careful and didnt touch my skin. She took her time and it felt like a nail experience from the 90s. The prices were reasonable and I look forward to returning today!

Karla Gutierrez I love my pedicure with Tina, she is so nice and very dedicated in what she is doing. Always makes me feel comfortable while she is doing my pedicure and the new chairs are wonderful. Angelina is the one who always do my nails and my daughter’s nails. She is so patient every time we’re there trying to find what we want to have done. She is so nice, and very dedicated to her job. I have been going there for 7years.

Daniella Miranda Ive tried different nail artists and never really stuck with one. Once i met Violet I was hooked, i have followed her from salon to salon to her home and now to her own salon. I have no complaints, any nail design you want they have all the supplies to make your vision come true. Overall great place; friendly atmosphere and great service! Angelica Franklin I came in for a pedicure and asked for the 55 minute one which came with the massage. The appointment was not 55 minutes it was more like 35 minutes. They burn you with the wax they don’t even bother to ask if you’re ok. The thing that I liked was that they didn’t talk to me. She started to force a conversation but I answered and said nothing else to continue the conversation. Will I go back definitely not!

Valeria Bravo Garcia horrendous set of acrylics. by the time i was out of there my nails looked a week old. paint was lumpy and chunky and it seems like the paint didnt cover my nail all the way. i got one nail that was crooked af and the receptionist didnt acknowledge the things that upset me about my set. he completely dismissed everything i said. i waisted my time coming here again to get my nails fixed and they didnt want to fix them without charging me.

Paulina Ojeda I feel so bad coming on here and giving them one star, because I know this is their way of making a living. I’ve never in my life have had to ask to completely remove the acrylic application. Since the start when she was glueing on the tips, it was off. The acrylic application was horrible. She would apply it and drag it down, it was all lumpy very thin by the cuticle area, and very thick at the top, on the sides there was places where there wasnt acrylic. There were air bubbles everywhere, since the acrylic wasnt properly set, it was lifting. I kindly said to the lady that I didnt like my nails and if she can soak them off, because they were not properly applied. Of course she and another worker told me they werent done yet and to let her finish, I asked her again to please take them off and she continued her work. Took forever to drill them down and shape them due to the horrible application. Once she filed them down they still didnt look ok, and she asked if they were ok and I told her it doesn’t matter what I say because you’re still going to continue doing them. She continued to file them, trying to fix them. I appreciate her trying to fix her work but I was already embarrassed and felt completely uncomfortable, I’m pretty sure she felt the same way. I asked her again if she could please soak them off and I didnt want the service anymore because it was never done correctly in the first place. Finally she proceeded to soak them off. Another 30 minutes waisted. Another lady came and offered her manicure services to try to fix the issue, I appreciate it, but for someone to work as a nail tec and not now how to properly apply acrylic is concerning. I went there to relax and have my nails done and the whole time I felt extremely uncomfortable, by being upset and embarrassed. Now due to the soak off from acetone and all the filing my nails hurt! I was only able to record my left hand, but the right one was even worse. Please do not go here for a full set.
