Katherine I made an appointment. I arrived three minutes early. Two people, a couple, walked in just ahead of me. We were all standing there at the same time waiting for service. The couple had no appointment, but Classic Nail Shop took them anyway. After waiting 15m with still no help, I asked how much longer, and they said another 15m. Whats the point of making an appointment if they are going to take a walk in at the exact time of your appointment and then make you wait 30m. I started going to Classic Nails when I moved to the neighborhood. Im going to Natural Nails Plus moving forward. They are only five minutes away, are well organized, and do a great job.

Jady Manibusan My go to spot. Lots of colors, they’re very efficient and my gel manicure can last up to 3 weeks. I always make an appointment so I get both nails and toes done at the same time.

Ana Carolina Quintela I wish I could say I like this place, but I cant. I tried it a few different times before writing a review. The staff is impatient, rude even. The person working on my nails was literally slapping on my hands to make me switch them over.They rush through the services so much that my gel nails are unevenly layered. Some are so thick that they are gross. I just threw $50 in the trash can, because I am now looking for another place where I can remove this gel and get a better quality manicure done.

Lena Jennings No frills nail shop located in the laurel district in Oakland. My normal nail shop was closed so was in need of a mani pedi before I went out of town. Called ahead to make an appointment and found ample parking on the street. Upon entering they were very strict about mask usage requiring everyone to wear a mask. I was immediately serviced with two people working on my hands and then feet at the same time. But once another customer came in the lady working on my hands stopped right in the middle of doing mine to work on someone else’s. When I was able to continue with my nails a new woman worked on my hands and she was incredibly rough. I felt pain a few times and had to ask her to be more gentle. I was also a bit skeptical around the cleanliness of some of their tools. I give 3 stars for the switch in service, tool cleanliness, and they were blasting judge Judy so loudly that it wasn’t a peaceful experience.

MEL LO Cash only. Quick and friendly. Love the spa chairs and they will have two workers at once hook you up! I prefer Henry for pedicures

Christina Lowe Service is great, the people are amazing and the attention to detail and quality work is top tier! Not to mention the interior is amazing + the music all leads to a relaxing and pampered experience. I wish I took more photos of all my manicures bc they do such a good job and I continue to get compliments! They take so much pride in their work that leads to me finally being proud of my nails!!

Leah Ulip My friend brought me here to get a manicure & a pedicure set. This was my first time. Upon walking in we were welcomed to the nail salon. It was so clean, nearly decorated with pretty chandeliers. We had an appointment at 5pm and it was pretty busy we were assisted within 5 minutes. I love their team dynamic. One lady did my pedicure, another added my acrylic set, and the third designed my nails. They really took their time! At one point, I noticed it was already 7pm (which is when they closed) but the lady was still taking her time making sure the design was perfect. I was scared she was going to rush us, but she didnt. They all provided great service! High recommend.

Vanessa Calimlim First time getting my nails done here. Ive never had a mani/pedi done before and I decided to try out this spot based on reviews. The two ladies that did my manicure/pedicure were really sweet and Id say my pedicure was done fairly nice but my manicure is a little sloppy and rushed. The owner of the salon kept hovering over the ladies and I could tell she doesnt really treat them right especially with her tone and language. Also, on the website that secured my appointment said the salon accepted AMEX so I brought my AMEX to pay but she asked for VISA. When I asked if she accepted AMEX she said yes but was persistent on VISA. I got the deluxe mani/deluxe pedi btw and it was $78 + $10 tip. Definitely not worth the money for the service and atmosphere. I mainly dont want to support a business that treats her workers like garbage.

Elizabeth Andrews Great location, cute space, sweet staff, and impeccable work! I’ve gotten two gel manicures here that were so sharp-looking they kept distracting me. I’m not big on getting my nails done, but F+S might convert me to a regular!

Damonique Lemon Angel did my nails and another lady did my feet. I absolutely love the service I received. Angel does whatever I want done to my nails and adds extra glam. I found my new nail tech and I’m not going anywhere. Very convenient and they open late some days. Can’t wait to get my birthday nails Done.

Isabelle MacEwan I too had a terrible experience getting cut twice on my hand. The pics really don’t do justice to the reality of my poor fingers. The manicurist only rushed so she can get to the next client. And that although I made an appointment and still had to wait for 45 minutes getting wrinkled feet. Not a pleasant experience.

Bonjamaste I was very shocked and surprised to have the woman doing my nails cut me twice on the same hand! I didnt even let her get to the second hand. I was there with my child and waited for their manicurist to finish and went with her instead of walking out of the place which I was tempted to do. All in all it was upsetting and I felt violence was done to me, Instead of enjoying a calm relaxing pleasant experience I came in for. Now, reading the reviews I see some other people have had a bad experience too. Clearly one of the women who works there is angry, very much in a hurry, and shes pushing that bad energy into your manicure. Since I dont know her name, I would just say, steer clear of this place entirely.

Mackenzie Lynn I just got a Beautiful Gel Manicure + Pedicure!! Literally perfect!!! This is 100% my new spot. The service was amazing these gals really know there stuff. The color I picked was very sheer, but she had a trick to make the color pop. I couldnt be happier! (Im really sad I didnt catch the women who did my nails name) And the price is very reasonable. Will be returning in 2 weeks!

Kimberly Thomas Been going here for over 20 years!! Pam and the girls are AWESOME! Feels more like a family visit vs. a business one. Wide variety of colors, spa chair, waxes and mini massages for tired hands and feet. My daughter (14 yrs) goes here now. Fab Nails...the next generation.

Lauren Browning By far the worst dip I’ve ever had. Multiple chipped nails within 3 days and nearly every nail is pulling away from the dip. I get like she rushed the entire thing although I was the only customer. Great price but not worth the lack of quality.

Love Forever They was very nice in the beginning, but then it was a little pricey for me and also my nails came out weird looking my diamonds were cricket and she didn’t file my nails down right so I feel like it was not no good experience here for me or my friend so we will never be going back there ever again also I would like to add that she did not put enough paint on my nails. It’s just a mess for to pay 220 for me and my friend. This is a mess never again. I don’t really wanna give her one star but bless everybody.

Hilary Ledoan I was looking for hailey bieber glazed metallic teal nails and these turned out so amazing. They sparkle in the sun, and they don’t peel off. I’ve had it for a month now. So many people have asked about them.

Melissa Archie Man. When I walked in I appreciated that they acknowledged me with enthusiasm. The ladies I worked with were very nice. An older woman did my gel manicure while another worked on my regular pedi. I could see the manicure wasnt going perfectly, the polish went over the cuticles, but I was short on time and hopeful it would get corrected. It did not. The pedicure clean up work was good and looked good at completion. 3 days later my gel was chipping. 1 week later I was able to peel what was left all the way off. Nothing fancy was required. Just my natural nails.

I told her so many times there werent straight, the acrilic was not placed evenly and they were supposed to be square but she didnt even asked me, this is a shame, you would thought that shes good because shes the one on charge but no, shes the worse one definitely not letting her do my nails again

Andrew Lee Got haircut here, I found the interior to be very comfortable, not to mention large, with several rooms inside as you go in. While the front area seems to mainly be a nail salon, there is a haircut section with couches and several seats for haircuts, there was also waxing and other services in other rooms. The person who cut my hair was above average, and not just considering the price. While the price is on the lower end in terms of bay area pricing, the quality of cut, evenness, minnimal stray missed hairs etc. is reflective of a haircut maybe about twice the price. So its a great value

TaJa M I’ve been a loyal client at this salon for over two years, but after my most recent visit on New Year’s, I’ll never be returning. I came in specifically for a pedicure, but out of sheer greed, the staff coaxed me into getting a full set with a nail tech I’d never worked with before. Against my better judgment, I agreed—and it was a decision I deeply regret. The nails are absolutely atrocious. They’re lumpy, misshapen, and filed completely wrong. On top of that, they started lifting after just three days! It’s clear this nail tech had no business working on anyone’s nails, let alone mine. I can’t believe the salon thought it was acceptable to provide this kind of service. To make matters worse, when I voiced my concerns during the appointment, they completely brushed me off. I refuse to let them touch my hands again—not to fix, redo, or even remove this mess. The greed and disregard for quality or customer satisfaction are appalling. What was supposed to be a relaxing New Year’s appointment turned into a nightmare. If you care about your nails, your time, and your money, I strongly recommend going elsewhere. This salon has lost a loyal client for good.

Lisa Russ I love this place. In addition to all the regular great features (excellent massage chairs, super lovely staff, very good quality manis and pedis), I got some excellent help with an ingrown toenail. These women know their stuff. Location is also so nice! Easy to get coffee lunch etc. and they accommodate friend groups really well. They have gotten me into the habit of having my nails and toes top notch.

Katniss Meowskewitz I typically don’t write negative reviews because who knows maybe someone is having a bad day, but this place was possibly the worse nail experience I’ve had. I came in to get my acrylics off and get a manicure. They left powder on my fingers and nails, they put on the polish coats uneven, the second lady working on me (the first left to work on someone else) just blatantly put nail polish over this big piece of lint that was very visible and didn’t attempt to fix it until I asked her too. There were multiple pieces of cuticle not fully taken off, just there like a hang nail (and they came from them cutting they weren’t there previously). When I pointed some out I was told “that’s powder not skin” as if that was ok. The powder should have been fully removed from my hands yes? When fixing something else she clearly left a large dent in the polish with her tool but once again didn’t move to fix it until I asked her to. I was told my nails were dry when they weren’t, and one of my nails *still* has a dent. By that point I just wanted to get out of there so I didn’t point it out. You can see there is nail polish on my actual finger, powder places, the paint isn’t even around the finger and the edges. And the massage lasted 22 seconds (I counted on the second hand). First time here because my usual place was busy. I won’t be back and I can’t recommend it.

Elaine Kim Hiens specialty is senior citizens pedicures. She expertly helps older folks avoid ingrown toenails and other foot problems. Hanhs nail art/gel nails are fabulous. She is a real artist. Elegant Nails is spotlessly clean and follows all pandemic protocols scupulously.

Space was super cute, App of the artists are super skilled, welcoming, and open to ideas. Prices are also super reasonable for the work that they do- especially the design work and being in the Bay Area. Would highly recommend and plan on coming back.

Rebecca Keller I like this place a lot! Its not a high-end nail salon, but its inexpensive, has great service, and is clean. I come here regularly for a gel manicure and regular pedicure, which cost me $42 + tip and I always leave happy. I prefer to go in on Friday or Sunday evenings because thats usually when they are not busy. Generally I am in and out in less than an hour.

Nicole M Sweet older couple own this spa. Very detailed and thorough. I come in for a fill and pedicure usually takes an hour and a half. Quality work, I can go 3 week without a fill and havent broken a nail. The salon is very clean and sanitary. Proper precautions are taken during our present pandemic. Highly recommend Royal Nail Spa for your beauty needs.

Carmen Ab This place is amazing and has a very peaceful vibe. If you’re a perfectionist like me, this should be your new nail place. I went to Kevin in Pinole for years, and now I drive out to Alameda (he’s that good). His work is flawless, the nail shape is unmatched. Pedicures are great too!

M W If you are looking to waste TWO HOURS to get your nails done (just a regular mani, not even a pedi mind you) this is your spot. We walked in at 5:20 pm and did not get done until 7:20 pm. We had to wait over 1.5 hours because they were “busy and behind”. Maybe learn some decency and basic customer service and let your patrons know it won’t be a “5 minute wait” and instead a 1.5 hour wait? What is most vexing is that they started on our nails then switched to people who came after us, telling us it’ll only be a moment but ended up being 1.5 hours. I had initially wanted a pedicure as well. They told me while they were doing my fingernails they didn’t have time and to come back tomorrow, fine. But after all the wait and the poor work, they even had the AUDACITY to ask us to PREPAY for the imaginary pedicure I was going to get tomorrow. EXCUSE ME. There is no way I’ll ever be coming back here. Such a shame really since it’s only a 5 minute walk away. See photos for what waiting two hours gets you- no better, likely worse than what you can do yourself at home.

Nancy Benedicta Poor service and quality. Its my first time coming here cos its close to the apartment i just moved in. The fact i always go with dipping powder that lasts at least 1 month, i came back to get some of my nails redone cos they cracked within few days. Sadly, they didnt last long again! So i came back and the stylist rudely told me dip powder aint just for me. She would gimme gel instead. Not only that, she did the service harshly with her tool and long nails and said ive got sensitive skin.
