3 /5 Lena Jennings: No frills nail shop located in the laurel district in Oakland. My normal nail shop was closed so was in need of a mani pedi before I went out of town. Called ahead to make an appointment and found ample parking on the street. Upon entering they were very strict about mask usage requiring everyone to wear a mask. I was immediately serviced with two people working on my hands and then feet at the same time. But once another customer came in the lady working on my hands stopped right in the middle of doing mine to work on someone else’s. When I was able to continue with my nails a new woman worked on my hands and she was incredibly rough. I felt pain a few times and had to ask her to be more gentle.
I was also a bit skeptical around the cleanliness of some of their tools. I give 3 stars for the switch in service, tool cleanliness, and they were blasting judge Judy so loudly that it wasn’t a peaceful experience.
