Shaniah Ritzie I love this nail salon! It’s local to where I live, and I can walk to their shop. I come here to get my nails and feet done, and I especially love the sea salt and sugar scrubs. I am simple, so I only get clear coat gel on my toes and hands. My wife often struggles with painful ingrown toenails, and this is the only place that takes the time to properly care for her nails. Kim and Mei Mei are amazing, and all the nail stylists are professional and courteous. Occasionally, the card reader is down, but you can still pay with Zelle or cash. Support local businesses like this one so they can continue to thrive in our community!

Sabrina Soto New to the area and was looking at many different nail salons. Kings had the best reviews therefore I decided to try it out. I’m glad I did! Staff and atmosphere are both great! Devon Lindsey I have been seeing Vanessa for ten months, and as long as shell have me Ill never see anyone else. Six months ago, when I moved from Oakland to SF, I still didnt stop traveling to OAK to see her. Everything Ive asked her for, from "classy funeral" to "goth" to "lisa frank" to "david bowie" shes delivered. Im hard on my nails too. I wash dishes, I type *a lot*, I take (at least) daily baths in shea butter, I travel and I never wear gloves, but none the less, my nails stay looking dope. The couple of times Ive had problems, Vanessa coached me through an at home repair and worked on ways she could improve for next time given my unique lifestyle. This last part might sound trite, but Im really grateful that I started seeing Vanessa. When I look down at my nails and the beautiful custom artwork on them, I feel joy and I need that in my life.

Emily E Vanessa is an amazing nail artist. Whatever you need, whether it is stamping or custom design she can do it. Her space is also really amazing, good tunes and vibes in the studio. Ive been coming to see her for months now and she always delivers better than expected. Her work is very high quality, my gels and manicures last for weeks even with the tough abuse I put my fingers and hands through daily.

andrew henderson $160+ spent on 2 pedicures and 1 manicure and my feet still look crusty. Mediocre services with a fancier looking salon. I thought because of the area it would be of a higher quality. They also upped the prices on us when we went to pay. Our services we re supposted to be $130 but they charged us $140 when we went to pay. After telling them they overcharged us the salon employees went back and fourth on the price amongst themselves but at the end they still charged us the same price. I didnt feel like arguing so I just paid and left. Will not be returning, my feet still look ashy when they usually look way better paying less at other salons for the same service. Manicure for male was so-so, my cuticles still have hangnails and nails are uneven.

amber sutton I uh advan appointment for 2pm, I called and let them know I was running late due to car troubles and was trying to make it there for 2:30. When I finally did get there it was about 2:45pm hours hen I walked in the salon was completely empty so I figured at least I didnt hold anyone up. Then one of the nail techs said that they couldnt see me cause I was late, even though I had called and let them know I was going to be. And they refused to see me period like they were fully booked. But like I said the salon was completely empty and when I walked out I couldnt leave cause my car was overheating anyways so I had to wait , there were no other appointments or customers in the salon for the next almost 30 minutes after I was turned away. Which I could understand if they had other appointments scheduled but they didnt. And Ive been trying to come here to have this acrylic set done for over a week and was planning to drop about 200+ on both mani and Pedi. But sitting around doing nothing is more important than making money or running a good salon. But after looking at some other reviews and reading about the continuous bad service and unsanitary conditions of their utensils they use on people and seeing pictures of peoples toe nails infected with fungus after coming here, Im going to take it as a blessing in disguise and the universes way of saving me from a disaster of an experience or an unwanted ailness in the future. To those who test the waters may more than luck be on your side, and I hope your experience is better than mine

Kaniesha Woodard I have been to Sassy Nails twice. The first two times were good. I am just leaving my third visit. I came in wanting baby pink nails. (Manicure, no gel, just polish) The nail tech painted my nails, I requested for some touch ups, then was time for my nails to dry. After waiting 25 minutes, I saw that a few of my nails were sticky and wouldnt fully dry. The nail tech came back over to touch them up. She removed the polish of three nails and re-did them. While doing so, she messed up one of those nails and had to go back in again to repaint. (She was visibly frustrated.) After that, I let my nails dry again. Looking at them I was unhappy anddadd they were still sticky and would not dry. I told the male nail tech i didnt like them and I just wanted a clear coat. He told her to come back and do just that. While checking out he said, "next time pick a different color. The color you picked was too thick." I said, "she shouldve told me that." And he said "yeah." I came in at 2:22pm and left at 4:13pm with a clear coat. I wasnt offered a discount or anything either. I paid $25, which I dont mind doing so if what I came for originally was a clear coat. Unfortunately, I will not be returning based off how this experience was handled. Picture speaks for itself. I recommend it a costumer picks a polish color that is "too thick" or wont apply correctly, you let them know at the start of the service. (Not an hour and a half later.)

Jaradie Chhun This is a decently priced nail salon, coming from someone who usually gets a plain gel manicure and pedicure. I stopped by here to try out a new salon. I found that this salon had a more peaceful vibe, and the massage chairs were better than most of the nail salons Ive been to (they have more functions). Nail color selection is less than others, which makes picking a color less of a stressful situation. I didnt feel rushed while in this salon. Most people would understand that feeling, and I didnt feel this here. I saw signage that this salon was also part of environmental health research!

Abbey Hanson I am so upset right now. Because of the terrible rain we have been having I have been wearing boots and tennis shoes like every other female out here. So I finally decided to get my feet done for my besties Birthday. I am use to the person doing my nails or feet to ask me if I want my nails cut short or if my toe nails are to short when I go to the shop they will just file my nails to shape them instead of cutting them even shorter. But Linn not only cut my nails too the point of damn near gone, but she also cut my large toe so terribly to the point where I Pray that my toe doesn’t get infected. I had to come straight home and doctor on my foot and the rest of my toe nails look like little dots because she cut them below the skin. I am furious and the 1 star was only so that I could leave this TERRIBLE REVIEW.

Irene Walker This was my second visit, and once again, I called for a last-minute appointment on a Sunday morning and they were able to fit me in—huge plus! Lisa did my pedicure and Tammy did my manicure, and both were fantastic. I always get regular mani/pedis, and their precision in cleaning, cutting, shaping and painting nails is truly top of the line. Plus, their salon is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing; so cute and well designed!! You’re always in good hands here. Highly recommend this salon! Definitely my go to spot for nails!

AS smooth I got my feet done. Tammy did a very good job. I have an ingrown toenail and she made sure it didnt hurt. I would definitely go back to get my feet done. Im going to try my nails too see how they do.

Stephanie B. I randomly visited this place the first time because it was near my friend’s house. Now I keep coming back because I love them so much. Nhi is the absolute best, but I’ve really liked everyone I’ve met here so far. I’ve only done dip nails, and they’ve lasted anywhere from 1-4 weeks. I’m hard on my nails. I now know to ask for an extra layer so they last longer.

Lindsay B Got a pretty bad manicure here the other day. The whole thing took less than 15 minutes and she only covered about half my nail with nail polish. Didn’t push back and trim cuticles. The Manager (?) Was lovely and made it right quickly. Hard to review a place with one experience, it may have just been my technician and the others are great.

Monica Floyd I went here on a whim while I was visiting my parents for the holidays. They were able to seat me right away, the shop is clean/peaceful, and they have a good color selection for gel polish. Initially I was satisfied with my gel manicure. I thought it could have been a bit smoother, but the finish was good, color was even, and it wasn’t too expensive. The photo I am sharing is from *1 month later.* I have traveled literally around the world, Ziplined, took a cooking class, played sports, and every single nail is still perfect. I’ve done some cutting on my own, which I’m sure helped, but I’ve never had a manicure last so long. For this alone, I would recommend this spot to anyone in the future! I’m sure I could have asked for another coat to make it smoother - and my only issue would have been remedied.

Kimberly Thomas Over 30 years, me in nails salons; two in particular to the point of Kim "the next generation" my daughter goes as well. Never have any of them EVER suggested I get GEL vs acrylic? I needed my nails done and had no time to go to my regular spot. Upon walk in, I was greeted. They were busy, but fit me in :-) Lisa, I believe did my nails and asked if I wanted Gel. I said acrylic because I work with and in alot of water. She said, because of this, Gel would be better and BOY was she right!! I LOVE IT! No chips, smears or fading and that pic is 3 weeks after I went in. Plus, the staff is down to earth and seems to really know their clientele. Been back twice and the last time a pedicure where she used lemon and warm stones on my tired feet. I ROCK Timberland work boots daily and those stones were a needed treat :-) Thanks for the Happy Feet :-)

Katherine I made an appointment. I arrived three minutes early. Two people, a couple, walked in just ahead of me. We were all standing there at the same time waiting for service. The couple had no appointment, but Classic Nail Shop took them anyway. After waiting 15m with still no help, I asked how much longer, and they said another 15m. Whats the point of making an appointment if they are going to take a walk in at the exact time of your appointment and then make you wait 30m. I started going to Classic Nails when I moved to the neighborhood. Im going to Natural Nails Plus moving forward. They are only five minutes away, are well organized, and do a great job.

Jady Manibusan My go to spot. Lots of colors, they’re very efficient and my gel manicure can last up to 3 weeks. I always make an appointment so I get both nails and toes done at the same time.

Ana Carolina Quintela I wish I could say I like this place, but I cant. I tried it a few different times before writing a review. The staff is impatient, rude even. The person working on my nails was literally slapping on my hands to make me switch them over.They rush through the services so much that my gel nails are unevenly layered. Some are so thick that they are gross. I just threw $50 in the trash can, because I am now looking for another place where I can remove this gel and get a better quality manicure done.

Lena Jennings No frills nail shop located in the laurel district in Oakland. My normal nail shop was closed so was in need of a mani pedi before I went out of town. Called ahead to make an appointment and found ample parking on the street. Upon entering they were very strict about mask usage requiring everyone to wear a mask. I was immediately serviced with two people working on my hands and then feet at the same time. But once another customer came in the lady working on my hands stopped right in the middle of doing mine to work on someone else’s. When I was able to continue with my nails a new woman worked on my hands and she was incredibly rough. I felt pain a few times and had to ask her to be more gentle. I was also a bit skeptical around the cleanliness of some of their tools. I give 3 stars for the switch in service, tool cleanliness, and they were blasting judge Judy so loudly that it wasn’t a peaceful experience.

MEL LO Cash only. Quick and friendly. Love the spa chairs and they will have two workers at once hook you up! I prefer Henry for pedicures

Not to mention the interior is amazing + the music all leads to a relaxing and pampered experience. I wish I took more photos of all my manicures bc they do such a good job and I continue to get compliments! They take so much pride in their work that leads to me finally being proud of my nails!!

Leah Ulip My friend brought me here to get a manicure & a pedicure set. This was my first time. Upon walking in we were welcomed to the nail salon. It was so clean, nearly decorated with pretty chandeliers. We had an appointment at 5pm and it was pretty busy we were assisted within 5 minutes. I love their team dynamic. One lady did my pedicure, another added my acrylic set, and the third designed my nails. They really took their time! At one point, I noticed it was already 7pm (which is when they closed) but the lady was still taking her time making sure the design was perfect. I was scared she was going to rush us, but she didnt. They all provided great service! High recommend.

Vanessa Calimlim First time getting my nails done here. Ive never had a mani/pedi done before and I decided to try out this spot based on reviews. The two ladies that did my manicure/pedicure were really sweet and Id say my pedicure was done fairly nice but my manicure is a little sloppy and rushed. The owner of the salon kept hovering over the ladies and I could tell she doesnt really treat them right especially with her tone and language. Also, on the website that secured my appointment said the salon accepted AMEX so I brought my AMEX to pay but she asked for VISA. When I asked if she accepted AMEX she said yes but was persistent on VISA. I got the deluxe mani/deluxe pedi btw and it was $78 + $10 tip. Definitely not worth the money for the service and atmosphere. I mainly dont want to support a business that treats her workers like garbage.

Isabelle MacEwan I too had a terrible experience getting cut twice on my hand. The pics really don’t do justice to the reality of my poor fingers. The manicurist only rushed so she can get to the next client. And that although I made an appointment and still had to wait for 45 minutes getting wrinkled feet. Not a pleasant experience.

Bonjamaste I was very shocked and surprised to have the woman doing my nails cut me twice on the same hand! I didnt even let her get to the second hand. I was there with my child and waited for their manicurist to finish and went with her instead of walking out of the place which I was tempted to do. All in all it was upsetting and I felt violence was done to me, Instead of enjoying a calm relaxing pleasant experience I came in for. Now, reading the reviews I see some other people have had a bad experience too. Clearly one of the women who works there is angry, very much in a hurry, and shes pushing that bad energy into your manicure. Since I dont know her name, I would just say, steer clear of this place entirely.

Mackenzie Lynn I just got a Beautiful Gel Manicure + Pedicure!! Literally perfect!!! This is 100% my new spot. The service was amazing these gals really know there stuff. The color I picked was very sheer, but she had a trick to make the color pop. I couldnt be happier! (Im really sad I didnt catch the women who did my nails name) And the price is very reasonable. Will be returning in 2 weeks!

Kimberly Thomas Been going here for over 20 years!! Pam and the girls are AWESOME! Feels more like a family visit vs. a business one. Wide variety of colors, spa chair, waxes and mini massages for tired hands and feet. My daughter (14 yrs) goes here now. Fab Nails...the next generation.

Lauren Browning By far the worst dip I’ve ever had. Multiple chipped nails within 3 days and nearly every nail is pulling away from the dip. I get like she rushed the entire thing although I was the only customer. Great price but not worth the lack of quality.
