    Lena Jennings: No frills nail shop located in the laurel district in Oakland. My normal nail shop was closed so was in need of a mani pedi before I went out of town. Called ahead to make an appointment and found ample parking on the street. Upon entering they were very strict about mask usage requiring everyone to wear a mask. I was immediately serviced with two people working on my hands and then feet at the same time. But once another customer came in the lady working on my hands stopped right in the middle of doing mine to work on someone else’s. When I was able to continue with my nails a new woman worked on my hands and she was incredibly rough. I felt pain a few times and had to ask her to be more gentle. I was also a bit skeptical around the cleanliness of some of their tools. I give 3 stars for the switch in service, tool cleanliness, and they were blasting judge Judy so loudly that it wasn’t a peaceful experience.

    Katherine: I made an appointment. I arrived three minutes early. Two people, a couple, walked in just ahead of me. We were all standing there at the same time waiting for service. The couple had no appointment, but Classic Nail Shop took them anyway. After waiting 15m with still no help, I asked how much longer, and they said another 15m. Whats the point of making an appointment if they are going to take a walk in at the exact time of your appointment and then make you wait 30m. I started going to Classic Nails when I moved to the neighborhood. Im going to Natural Nails Plus moving forward. They are only five minutes away, are well organized, and do a great job.

    Irene Walker: This was my second visit, and once again, I called for a last-minute appointment on a Sunday morning and they were able to fit me in—huge plus! Lisa did my pedicure and Tammy did my manicure, and both were fantastic. I always get regular mani/pedis, and their precision in cleaning, cutting, shaping and painting nails is truly top of the line. Plus, their salon is incredibly clean and aesthetically pleasing; so cute and well designed!! You’re always in good hands here. Highly recommend this salon! Definitely my go to spot for nails!

    Abbey Hanson: I am so upset right now. Because of the terrible rain we have been having I have been wearing boots and tennis shoes like every other female out here. So I finally decided to get my feet done for my besties Birthday. I am use to the person doing my nails or feet to ask me if I want my nails cut short or if my toe nails are to short when I go to the shop they will just file my nails to shape them instead of cutting them even shorter. But Linn not only cut my nails too the point of damn near gone, but she also cut my large toe so terribly to the point where I Pray that my toe doesn’t get infected. I had to come straight home and doctor on my foot and the rest of my toe nails look like little dots because she cut them below the skin. I am furious and the 1 star was only so that I could leave this TERRIBLE REVIEW.

    Kaniesha Woodard: I have been to Sassy Nails twice. The first two times were good. I am just leaving my third visit. I came in wanting baby pink nails. (Manicure, no gel, just polish) The nail tech painted my nails, I requested for some touch ups, then was time for my nails to dry. After waiting 25 minutes, I saw that a few of my nails were sticky and wouldnt fully dry. The nail tech came back over to touch them up. She removed the polish of three nails and re-did them. While doing so, she messed up one of those nails and had to go back in again to repaint. (She was visibly frustrated.) After that, I let my nails dry again. Looking at them I was unhappy anddadd they were still sticky and would not dry. I told the male nail tech i didnt like them and I just wanted a clear coat. He told her to come back and do just that. While checking out he said, "next time pick a different color. The color you picked was too thick." I said, "she shouldve told me that." And he said "yeah." I came in at 2:22pm and left at 4:13pm with a clear coat. I wasnt offered a discount or anything either. I paid $25, which I dont mind doing so if what I came for originally was a clear coat. Unfortunately, I will not be returning based off how this experience was handled. Picture speaks for itself. I recommend it a costumer picks a polish color that is "too thick" or wont apply correctly, you let them know at the start of the service. (Not an hour and a half later.)

    Shaniah Ritzie: I love this nail salon! It’s local to where I live, and I can walk to their shop. I come here to get my nails and feet done, and I especially love the sea salt and sugar scrubs. I am simple, so I only get clear coat gel on my toes and hands. My wife often struggles with painful ingrown toenails, and this is the only place that takes the time to properly care for her nails. Kim and Mei Mei are amazing, and all the nail stylists are professional and courteous. Occasionally, the card reader is down, but you can still pay with Zelle or cash. Support local businesses like this one so they can continue to thrive in our community!
