1 /5 Ginger Swartz: We had a horrible experience with Dr Bretan today. My husband has Parkinsons Disease, lewy body dementia, cochlear implant, incontinence...he is not well. Dr Bretan he treated us with total disrespect for trying to ask a question. And told us to get a second opinion. That was the nicest thing you said to us. Thank you. No one deserves to be treated like that. Shame on you.

1 /5 Madai Calles: Today I have the worst experience in my life. I was seeing by this “doctor “ and I was speechless because yelling at me very loud and he didn’t listen to my concerns at all. He told me to go somewhere else to find another doctor because he was not going to do anything for me. I don’t recommend him, patient deserves be treated with respect not like he treated me. I felt very humiliated and intimidated by him.

1 /5 angelica martinez: My son had a dorsal slit done and had post op abnormal bleeding, this Dr made us feel like we were not important and said everything was normal. Swelling 4 weeks later & we seeked a 2nd opinion on the surgery site. Comes to find out he was not healing as planned, instead now my son had another issue. He Did not give us post op instructions of any kind, just told us to have him rest and apply ice if we wanted to. VERY BAD AND. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL. Stay clear from this guy. Go to PAMF very work it . My son is now healing and we were given full clarification on what was done and what is normal.

G L: I had a rough time with some of the primary care doctors at Shasta Community Health (mainly in the Fellowship department, 0/10 recommend) but after a lot of back and fourth I was finally seen by Dr. Brian Ho, an NP, and he has been nothing short of great. He listens to me, trusts me and genuinely has done so much to help me get the help that I needed. I’m not sure if he’s a one-off kind of provider, but he definitely flipped my opinion around of SCHC.

Never had nicer, more polite, concerned & caring hospital staff ever look after me like these guys do. A couple of the nurses and the anesthesiologist even remembered me. Just a wonderful hospital to stay with when youre not feeling well, take wonderful care of you!

Some people could die in this amount of time if they are sick. I feel bad for the people who have to rely on the staff…read your reports and follow through!

Julianne Travis: I had a great experience at Shasta Reginal Medical Center today 04/01/2025. I had to have a Cardioversion and Dr. Khan did a fantastic job. He is the best doctor. My nurse was Felicia, and she was great. She made me very comfortable and relaxed. She was so good with everyone, and very funny too. Felicia, went over every detail with me very carefully. She also made sure that I had something to eat and drink when my procedure was finished. Felicia is an RN in the CSSU Department. Everyone in this hospital from the Senior helpers, the check in staff, and the nurses, especially Felicia and my Dr. KHAN where absolutely fantastic. Thank You Julianne Travis

Erin Ross: Its sad when one of the few places accepting new patients offers such substandard service and care. New patient/office visits are the most expensive Ive seen anywhere. Fine, provided they are attentive and available. Not the case. Its taken me months to get a simple referral sent to a specialist, and they STILL dont have it. Ive lost count how many messages Ive left, because they dont answer the phone. Makes one wonder if they are just more about collecting $$$ than they do about people. Do not recommend. Ive wasted so much time trying to take of some thing that should be simple. If you have a condition that requires your health care providers to have a sense of urgency, do not become a patient here.

Jenna Grace: Dr. Nicora was beyond rude to me. I had 4 stitches on my elbow and 2 of which had come undone at work. I called before coming in to see if I needed to come in or to just leave it, I was told to come in. I was in the waiting room for two hours before being taken into a room. Dr. Nicora told me that all I needed was a bandaid. I was frustrated and started crying uncontrollably. She asked “why are you crying” I said “i’m just frustrated” and Dr. Nicora said “we all get frustrated” and rolled her eyes. The nurses on staff were comforting me and being outstanding not only nurses but human beings. Dr. Nicora left the room and came back to explain more to me what was going on. I kept asking questions like what if the stitches fall out and she kept saying that they were fine. Lastly I asked her if it was okay for me to return to work, as that’s where the stitches were broken in the first place. She then turned around and flicked her hand at me and left the room. She was not only rude but not understanding of my concerns. I left the facility sobbing, I went to my car and received a call that “Dr. Nicora made a mistake.” I then go back into the facility to see what mistake was made. I was taken into the same room where a different nurse or doctor Im not sure, explained to me that I needed to get some sort of tape on my elbow to keep the skin together. She did just as such and taped up my elbow and put some sort of smelly liquid on it. The front desk was extremely helpful as well as the nurses, but Dr. Nicora was careless of my feelings and my health. I have never had an experience with a Doctor that made a mistake, let alone not care that they made a mistake.
