1 /5 Erin Ross: Its sad when one of the few places accepting new patients offers such substandard service and care. New patient/office visits are the most expensive Ive seen anywhere. Fine, provided they are attentive and available. Not the case. Its taken me months to get a simple referral sent to a specialist, and they STILL dont have it. Ive lost count how many messages Ive left, because they dont answer the phone. Makes one wonder if they are just more about collecting $$$ than they do about people. Do not recommend. Ive wasted so much time trying to take of some thing that should be simple. If you have a condition that requires your health care providers to have a sense of urgency, do not become a patient here.

1 /5 Tony Baldwin: If I could give a zero review I would. In this day where finding dependable care is so difficult, this place makes every promise, but fails at all of them. I have called the office trying to become a patient. Zero return calls - ever. My wife, an existing patient of more than three years, cannot EVER reach anybody in the office by phone. When appointment notices are received, she responds only to find the provider is not sure what the appointment is for. Billing mistakes have caused hundreds of dollars of over charges, which Social Security has had to step in and correct. In conversations with my wife, the FNP S. Williams basically called her a liar, until Social Security showed the coding errors which led to the multiple overcharges (and the refunds). For these and a half dozen other reasons, we are back to Anderson Walk-in Clinic as our primary caregivers. They are not perfect, but they are far more reliable than this place, they have better hours, and they actually answer the phone!

3 /5 Reid Davis: Shauni Williams is a caring and knowledgeable practitioner. Unfortunately, the same can not be said of her support staff. More than once, the staff has messed up requests for prescription refills. Theyve sent refill requests for the wrong medicines and sent requests to the wrong pharmacy. If she had good help shed have a wonderful practice. As it stands now = three stars is generous. (5 stars for Shauni, 0 for the staff)

1 /5 MC: Gave this place a try last year because of the high rating & accepting new patients. My insurance (a common one through employment) was not in network. First apt was expensive. Spent maybe 15-20 mins max talking through all my health concerns. After an hour + wait. They do not run on time. And apts are booked months out! Even if you are an established patient. Got a referral & sent to do routine bloodwork. For the referral, they gave the drs office wrong info for me and by the caught onto it, it was too late- they had closed to accepting patients…after I’d been trying to get this referral for months. Kept trying to call Shasta Primary Care to resolve it, no answer. Had a follow up for bloodwork. She spent about 10 mins max with me then charged a LOT for that 10 minutes. Like, a ridiculous amount. And it also was not helpful- tried asking what could have caused a certain figure to be high and she kept saying diet. Even as I tried to explain I was 90% sure it could not be that. (Later found out it was a very simple answer that I’m guessing this office just didn’t know, and it wasn’t diet but correlated to a health condition). I left that appointment unheard, for sure. She kept giving me this placating look and saying it was just my diet. Also got sent to do some scans for a health issue. They said if anything I needed to know came up on it they’d call and let me know. Never got a call. Almost a year later, took it to my new drs office and they immediately talked through the scan with me and got me a referral to the relevant specialist. All of this to say, to anyone considering here I highly recommend instead pursuing a practice that has a qualified MD with a waitlist (because most of them have waitlists, and when you get in it’s usually with a nurse practitioner or a physicians assistant; but! they have a doctor in the office if needed!) and in the meantime maybe doing urgent care. In retrospect that would have been far more efficient and effective and saved me a lot of $. And for those who care about this: The nurse practitioner at this office does dress casually and have a very casual atmosphere. Which is a great fit for some. For me- I appreciate the professionalism in attire etc. but to each his own! They are very nice. But nothing gets done, phones don’t get answered, info is input wrong frequently, apts take months to get.. etc.

1 /5 Kily Tracy: I recommend Sierra Care Physicians And specifically, Dr. Pa Soua xing. Her clinical skills are excellent and she works with the patient to find prescriptions that work with the patients system not just the “newest drug of the day”. She listens to her patience and takes time with them to further evaluate how their whole life is not just their ailments , I feel so grateful to have found her and recommend her without hesitation for any of your family members . She is my mother‘s primary healthcare physician and I could not be more comforted and secure that she is in good hands. KT 1/6/25 Dr Pa Soua Xing is no longer practicing Sierra Care Physicians. I am sad for this practice because they have lost an excellent physician, diagnostician, and compassionate and knowledgeable human being, who happens to be extremely well educated, yet knows how to to convey complex health issues to lay persons. I assure you that is a gift that most MDs do not possess. I might also add that I found this practices communication to me as a patient of Dr, Xiong rather curt and lacking of that feeling and compassion that I mentioned about Dr. Xiong. This practice will be worse without her compassionate input. Please let me know Dr. X where you land so I can follow you as I would encourage anyone else to do.
