1 /5 Dave Plumpton: Ok care, if you can get it. I needed a podiatrist referral. For this, I needed to come in for an office visit. Yep--you need a podiatrist. Well after the 7-10 days they ask for to provide the referral, I tried calling with no one picking up. Today, someone answered, and I was on hold for over one hour. I hung up and called back, only to get the answering service, who told me everyone went to lunch. THEY LEFT ME ON HOLD AND WENT TO LUNCH. I dont care what business you are in, this sucks.
All this for a referral that should have been automatic. Its incredibly time-intensive having to provide all the follow-ups, make all the connections, and request the follow through that should be part of the visit.
