Believe it or not, 21st Century technology has made going to the dentist entertaining.
I had a broken tooth that was driving me nuts, and when I went in to see Dr. Partridge, he took X rays which appeared on a screen right in front of me, and I could see the bits of tooth that were causing me a great deal of pain.
Then Dr. Partridge took a video camera and lead me on a tour of my teeth, which I saw on a screen. I could see what he was seeing and understood when he pointed out the work I needed.
Doc was gentle with the anesthetic needle and dug out those old pieces of tooth and even gave them to me as a keepsake when the work was done.
As he was working I watched surf videos on the roof to distract me from all the digging around in my mouth.
So, it was a 21st Century, audio visual experience, which made it interesting.
And he eased the pain.
