Alyona Borchaninova Decided to try a local dentist, as at the time they were excepting my dental insurance. I responded to the flyer I received in mail “Free X-rays and cleaning”. Upon the cleaning service, it appeared they charged my insurance and $85 was not covered. So they sent me a bill in mail for $85. So, their “ free dental cleaning does not apply” per their flyer statement. That was just a beginning. The doctor wrote a long list of required procedures. I started with a crown. And during my dental appointment he was talking so much, that he didn’t noticed that he grinder the nerve. I jumped in the chair a foot high. That’s when he realized it’s a time to stop. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the end of my adventure. Next day I had a pain 10 out of 10. Any other dental office always call and follow up on how the patient is doing. Not Dr’s Ortega staff. Perhaps he is too busy to do a phone call follow ups. I ended up calling the office. When I claimed having a severe pain after the tooth was shaved, the respond I received made me feel very uncomfortable with this doctor: “Alyona, your expectations are high”, so there is nothing I can’t do. Really? I called the office again asking for a referral to the root canal specialist. Lucky, they sent a referral. 5 months later I ended up doing root canal do to a poor job done at this office. When I reached out the the office again the doctor was no where found and I have to appeal with a written statement. “F” failed is my grand to this office, who has no ethical rules or remorse in wrongdoing, no sympathy to patients who are going through pain.

Caroline Dozier Great experience here so far! I was seeking a second opinion after a different dentist told me I needed 4 crowns. Dr. Ortega explained that my teeth still have good structure and should therefore be preserved, so he only recommended 0-1 crowns. The hygienists and front desk are all so lovely and kind. The office is really clean and pretty. I came in later for fillings and couldnt believe how quickly it went by because Dr. Ortega and his assistant worked so efficiently. Go to Capitola Dental :)

Benjamin Marcus Going to the dentist is fun!!! Believe it or not, 21st Century technology has made going to the dentist entertaining. I had a broken tooth that was driving me nuts, and when I went in to see Dr. Partridge, he took X rays which appeared on a screen right in front of me, and I could see the bits of tooth that were causing me a great deal of pain. Then Dr. Partridge took a video camera and lead me on a tour of my teeth, which I saw on a screen. I could see what he was seeing and understood when he pointed out the work I needed. Doc was gentle with the anesthetic needle and dug out those old pieces of tooth and even gave them to me as a keepsake when the work was done. As he was working I watched surf videos on the roof to distract me from all the digging around in my mouth. So, it was a 21st Century, audio visual experience, which made it interesting. And he eased the pain.

Laura Smith I visited Dr Partridges office when he was in Santa Cruz during mid 2000.s. My experience was positive.I would replace 2 crowns each year while I had dental insurance due to old silver fillings. I had an older front tooth with a white cap , post, and root canal in a front tooth, #9. It may have needed to be replaced as it had been 30 years BUT.... somewhere in the process, I developed a problem and didn’t realize it until years later. Somewhere in the process, #9 root became fractured creating an infection. The tooth dropped about 16th of an inch lower than the other front tooth. When I would use the tooth to eat, my gums would swell. It has gotten so bad, I am in need of a tooth extraction and am electing an implant after 8 months of healing. I am freaking out as I felt I was done with my front tooth back in 2007 when Dr Partridge updated my tooth!!!
