Tony Martinez The best in the business! I’ve been coming here for about five years. My teeth were horrible before I came here thanks Dr. Al Shahidi, I still have teeth and health. If you are like me and avoid dentists at all costs, don’t hesitate he has hands of gold and helps you eliminate any pain . The customer service is outstanding and the staff is very friendly. Not only do they give you a reminder card for your future appointment but Gaby calls you ahead of time to remind and confirm your dentist appointment. 10/10 service with a smile!

Toiya Aston I have went to Dr Shahidi before but the pandemic hit and thereafter I wasn’t consistent. I remember going the first time I was petrified, my anxiety was up and I remember him calming them down. Now fast forward to 8/27/2024, I needed to come in for a check up and I was having tooth pain. I arrived for my appointment and Gabby is always the BEST!!!! I went in for my xrays and I can feel my anxiety on 100. My X-rays was over and it was time to sit in “THE CHAIR” Dr. Shahidi’s chair. My Anxiety went to 1,000 at this point my eyes are getting watery and I actual have full tears in my eyes. Dr comes in takes a look at me and tells me you are going to be okay, and he gave me a tissue. His conversation was easy and very comforting, my anxiety was decreasing. He explained everything to me in a nice calming voice with such ease on my nerves. He did a check of my mouth, explained everything and we went over my dental plan. I thought my prognosis was bad but it was actually good. One thing was I didn’t have no cavities and I didn’t need no shot. That right there was a WIN WIN for me. Let just say I left out of there a very HAPPY PATIENT. I know forsure I’m doing my cleaning every 6 months, I am not playing with my teeth.. OVERALL, Dr Shahidi and his staff is AMAZING!!!! If you are a scary cat of the dentist it’s okay, they will definitely take care of you

Adrian Diaz Do not trust the doctor. Its unfortunate that he has serviced some of my family well but not others. I was told I need a deep cleaning while my teeth showed no problems. I go another day for a deep clean and received a regular cleaning but was charged an extra $250 out of pocket. My family is rethinking their dental choices. Get a second opinion people.

moonbaby727 I am so grateful to Dr. Derick Nguy and his staff. I had a dental emergency while I was about 7 months pregnant and called multiple offices to ask about not just availability but also experience in handling such urgent situations. Dr. Nguy not only was able to treat me but by the time i arrived, I learned that his office had already been in contact with my OBGYN to ensure that the treatment was the safe and recommended treatment for myself and baby, and that my OBGYN and Dr. Nguy were on the same page with respect to treatment. As a worried and expectant mama, I felt so relieved knowing that all precautions were taken and that Id no longer be in pain and at risk for the issue getting worse. Since then, Ive seen Dr. Nguy several times and the things that stand out are his high standards with respect to patient care and really listening to my concerns. For example, i needed a crown on one of my last visits and he repeatedly made micro-adjustments to ensure it was a perfect fit and that i was happy with it. Dr. Nguys staff, including his office manager Jessica, his hygienists and assistants have all been professional, friendly and clear about next steps and scheduling my next appointments. Ive seen other dentists that didnt have the same high standards and so I really appreciate the care Ive been provided at Downey Family Dental and have recommended Dr. Nguys office to my friends and family.

Rubi Ochoa I love this office! I was never a fan of dental work and now I love coming here. I feel that they all genuinely care and take care of all my dental needs. My appointment time is always respected and I never feel rushed out. The doctor is amazing! I truly appreciate him calling me over the weekend to check how I was feeling when my wisdom teeth were pulled out. The hygienist is great! Everyone there will make you feel like family. . fausto Be careful. Its a lot of money paid to be in pain.. My family has all had a bad experience here. Dr and staff are friendly but the work is not the best. My mom had a root canal done. He had to keep fixing it. The last time his filling removed he didnt want to fix anymore (less then 8 months). She had to get it urgently fix elsewhere. My husband had to get a few things done but all they did is show us the invoice for the plan and only make a hole in one of his teeth. Filling removed in less than a month.. Went to a different dentist who did a successful tooth extraction in no time.

Bill Weaver DO NOT GO HERE! It took them a year to do 2 root canals (horribly, I might add) and a deep cleaning that took 4 different appointments to complete on my girlfriend. They told her she was being dramatic when she told them about her pain from their terrible root canal job, and shes currently crying in pain. They did this in 2023. LAST YEAR.

Roland Winsor Ive been a patient here for many years, never thought to leave a review until now. Dr. Ha and his staff are first and foremost, good human beings. They care about their patients on a personal level. We love the doctor and the staff. Now for the actual dentistry...what I like about Dr. Ha is the way he takes his time to explain every procedure. In my opinion, hes generally conservative and doesnt over diagnose, which has been my experience at other offices. We love this office and we will continue to come here for years to come.

Gabriela Valdez First time visiting this dental place and I was very pleased. Front office, back office and dentists were friendly. Dentist was honest even though I didnt have any cavities he didnt try to add treatments. I was there for my checkup and a cleaning and thats exactly what I received. He thanked me for choosing them and said "see you in 6 months".

Hunter Hren Outstanding experience with Dr. Luu. Found him in the Cathedral bulletin at St Joesphs. He provided excellent care and gave a quick filling in one of my degrading molars. Another dentist in the area tried to scam me, but Dr Luu reassured me that my teeth were in good condition. Trustworthy, recommend!

Joe Viramontez I had a tooth that was killing me. I called Bird Ave on a Saturday morning when most dentist are out of the office. They were able to get me in firt thing in the morning. I got there at 925am. I was immediately taken in and the extraction was excellent. I was out of there in 20 minutes. I would for sure go back to them for any service.

Josh Miller Dr. Luu is hands down the best dentist you will ever encounter. Very caring, intelligent and understanding to all his patients needs which is why I have been with him for 10 + years. I highly recommend him if you are looking for a new dentist in the area.

Maria G I personally have not been there but my 6 yr old granddaughter had to have her bottom babyteeth removed because the adult teeth were growing and those had not fallen out. She was so scared to go and asked me to be there for her, my son also was having work done so I figured they would make me wait outside because of covid because they knew that my granddaughter needed me there they let me sit in their waiting area to reassure my granddaughter knrw I was there. They calmed her down and only with local sedation they removed her teeth. She was happy when she left and I was happy the doctor explained everything to her and made her not be afraid of the dentist. I will be making my next appointment with them, thanks team for making everyone feel at ease.

Diana Nguyen Dr. Duong is thorough, knowledgeable, honest, and attentive. I saw him for a few different procedures and he is very professional, as well as his team. They make sure all my questions are answered and I feel minimal to zero pain. Further, the office is clean and staff is always smiling and keeping a calm demeanor. I will continue going to Dr. Duong for all my future dental needs!

Ramon L I dont recommend this dentist/place. Both locations. They have another location on Atlantic blvd. In the city of monterey park. They are not honest. Talk to your insurance about how the co-pay works before you go and If you go to this place I recommend you to ALWAYS ask for a receipt(trust me). In case you want to make any complaints to your insurance about these locations. They over charge my insurance and they over charge me on the co-pay. In their defense they are just like all the dentist (industry). They want to get as much as possible out of your insurance and you.

Tim P Great dentist and friendly staff. Dont be intimidated by Korean language, they speak English very well. Also, the dentist is no ordinary dentist, but a licensed oral surgeon from South Korea. If your looking for quality care at very affordable prices, this is the dentist, trust me I spent weeks looking for one I could trust and didnt charge me insane prices. Highly recommend!!!

Ive always been afraid of dental procedures but dr Lara and her nurse made my experience soo much better. They even called me the following day just to make sure I was doing good.
