But even before that, she called to check in with me when I hadnt shown up for my rental & gave me advice on a reliable taxi service. When it was time to return, Robert was equally as helpful as Gin with the return process. I just want to say that I have never encountered a business that really goes above & beyond customer service as much as these folks. They genuinely care about helping their customers. Thank you Gin and Robert for being a breath of fresh air for us in our week of obstacles. Im so glad I chose your shop! Ive had my truck at 3 other shops none of which actually fixed the issue with a sensor(it wasnt the sensor it was the connector). They actually listened to me on my concerns of it being a wiring issue and fixed the problem in a very quick professional manner. They also did a great job on a couple other issues my truck had. And there was a bit of a miscommunication between the man who worked the counter and myself. In my previous experiences with shops, they shrug and put the burden on you as the customer. But at Certified Automotive Repair in Grass Valley they are some people that you can really trust and in the end they made sure to take care of me and compensated me. I recommend them as a 34 year resident of Grass Valley who has used many mechanics. Im on my way to pick up my vehicle from there now.

Su At: Itā€™s sad to rate them this way, however they created a nightmare for the past three visits for a simple transmission fluid leak and installation of emergency break cables. They changed the gasket in the first time yet they tried to say I might have big problem within the transmission itself, because the pan had accumulated some residue, my transmission is a custom rebuilt. When I stayed firm that my transmission was okay, they stepped back and agreed that ā€˜it might be fineā€™. Then the leak didnā€™t stop actually got worse afterwards, funny enough I had noticed the leak while picking up the vehicle and when pointing it to the new owner Spencer, he said ā€œoh thatā€™s because weā€™d just changed the gasket, it is the residues, it will settleā€.. I wanted to believe him and this shop as they knew me as a regular customer. I fully put my trust in this shop based on my first experience before the ownership changed from Ken to Spencer. The leak got worse and worse than before so I went back, the technician pointed out the mounting screw, blurbing things that made no sense, then he said let me clean up little bit to be sure..After only 10 minutes they (Spencer) said all good there wonā€™t be anymore leaks. Indeed The leak settled down a bit but after leaving the vehicle parked during a few weeks trip I noticed it happened again but less intense upon my return. So I went back, this time they said transmission fluid pan had a dent, the gasket and the pan itself needed to be replaced with an estimate of 1200+ cost.. had to leave for a month as part of my work and came back to find out the leak turned into dripping. Oil level is half way and had topped up before I left. I really work so hard for my money and this shop knows that I use this van for work and home as camper van and cannot afford any risks and been very on top of any issues with it. Each of these visits been costing $400-$700 always paid without questioning it much. Also I always had a good conversations with Spencer while waiting to pick up during all those visits,however I am now super disappointed as I feel they are abusing my trust in them. I.e. where was that dent in the first two visits? Why no mentions ? and since then I had almost zero occasion such dent could occur. Yet the level of pan is higher than the muffler etc so no dent on any lower parts. And the same thing (hookup) started rolling up around emergency cable installation. All in all, donā€™t put your full trust in this shop and never stop practicing discernment based on the reviews and good service. Will file a complaint at the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) if they donā€™t take action to correct it without additional cost. With respect!
