1 /5 Angela B: The bad reviews you’ll read on here are 100% accurate. They are unethical and rude. They cut corners and I wouldn’t trust their work. Les Schwab is just up the street and 100 times better. I honestly don’t know how they haven’t been shut down.

1 /5 Gangsta Leene: Read the Other Reviews, you basically have a 50/50 chance here. If youre friends with the people who work there, your vehicle will get excellent service, if they dont know who you are, Horrible Service. They HAVE HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, also they charge $150 per hour just for shop fee on top of Labor, Parts, Taxes, etc., sure they can fix a tire, but Les Schwab is 100 Times Better, just up the Street a few blocks past train tracks. For Auto Repair, I suggest Waltons Auto Care - (1002 Maple St, Alturas, CA 96101) across the way behind Valero (Mini-Mart), way more PROFESSIONAL!

5 /5 Heather Eisenbarth: My boyfriend and I were passing through with our travel trailer and a tire fell off. We would have had to drive more than 2 hours away to get the parts, Alturas tire shop was the only place in town that had the parts we needed. They were friendly and helpful and we wouldn’t have made it on our hunting trip if it wasn’t for them! Awesome place and people!

1 /5 Corey West: Kim at the front desk is rude and fake. I was told it might be possible to do payments on my tires and then later when they put them on they wanted it all up front. Didnt tell me a total price so it was double what I was expecting. Kim acted like Im some homeless person who doesnt have a job and cant pay when she never told me a total before mounting. I refuse to go back here I know they already dont like me there and think they can act however they want. Well I hope people read this before going there, they will treat you like a POS if you dont have the unforeseen total amount. And then to top it off when you say nicely maybe you should tell people at least ball park range of price before telling them they have to pay now without payments. Rusty the owner tells me angrily well we can take the tires off. Yeah disrespect only gets you so far... Anyone who sees this go to les Schwab or out of town. Also took off my lug nut locks without asking and never replaced them or the 4 lug nuts that they pounded off... Unprofessional and ridiculous at the front desk both sides sad excuse for a tire shop. Dont even have the tire keys that they should. lmfao but they sure can charge to rip them off and not replace new lug nuts. Sad stuff. Guess thats the best you can get in a small town..

5 /5 Lisa Breuer: Alturas Tire Shop was included in our annual Christmas letter...heres where they played a role in our summer travels...A stop at Subway for lunch became our last adventure...the battery light came on in our 2007 Rav 4. Next to the sandwich shop was an auto place. Our alternator was failing. We could chance it and head into the heat of Nevada and Arizona, or have it replaced. We decided on the latter. We had to stay the night so we found a quaint hotel housed with little visitors, ants, and camped there for the night. We paid for the alternator and labor. It was later discovered that the radiator had a leak too. A new radiator was 200+ miles away so the owner stayed hours after closing repairing it the best he could. Due to quick fix to get us on our way he refunded us $170 because "we do better quality than this!" Alturas Tire Shop took incredible care of us. A refund at an automotive business, really...only God! We give them 6/5 stars...great job!!!
