Tyler Burhus My dad and I were stranded on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere for 8 hours not being able to get a tow truck or anyone out to come help out with a flat. He came out at midnight to come help us out. Once he found out we were there for so long he offered to bring us water and even asked if we were hungry. He even messaged us the next day to ask how the tire was holding up and that we were doing good. Super awesome experience and cant recommend enough

Cambria Sorensen Don’t use this guy. He was on his phone the whole time turning a 2 hr job into a 5 hr job. Yet, he is impossible to reach if you’re trying to get updates on your job. He was supposed to replace the alternator. He did, but he didn’t reconnect many of the harnesses and he cracked the radiator in the process. He said he would make it right, but after several days of being stranded with my car he decided I was asking too much for him to return to fix what he had broken. Probably cheaper just to get your car towed to the shop, than to have this guy try to learn how to be a mechanic on your car. Tldr: car received more damage than repairs; slow, shoddy work, probably cheaper to go somewhere else.

Cindy We got a flat just north of Alturas in our Class C RV. It was Sunday, and everyone was closed except for Pioneer. They came to our rescue in about 15 minutes. Super friendly and knowledgeable. We were back on the road within an hour.

The Ikedas Had a great experience this morning getting a check engine light diagnosed. The work was done quickly, on time and at a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and professional. They even vacuumed out the car and cleaned the windshield!

Eileen Di Meglio They are extremely nice people. They checked everything thoroughly. Some pesty pack rats built a nest and chewed some hoses. They replaced the hoses at cost and installed them for free. I certainly give Quick Lube 5 stars and will continue to use them.

Even though they were busy, they got my car in quickly, did a fast analysis, and explained everything when we found out it was a serious issue. We called Waltons and they advised us we would be OK traveling and they would be able to check what was happening for us. They warned us that they may not be able to fix it today. When we arrived, they were the nicest, most thoughtful group of gentleman I have ever had the fortune to meet. Not only did they check what was happening, but they proceeded to fix the issue. They made sure to test along the way and they started with the least expensive problem it could be first. I highly recommend their service. Thank you Willy and company for your excellent help.

Carolyn Moon I was driving from Klamath Falls, OR to Reno, NV when about 20 minutes past Alturas, my serpentine belt snapped and left me stranded at the side of the road. I called a tow truck to take me back to Alturas, but then panicked because it was 3:45pm on a Friday afternoon. Waltons was the 3rd shop I called in Alturas and the 1st shop willing to help. At first, I didnt even know what belt had broken, but the mechanic on the phone helped me describe it and diagnose the problem so he could determine what part I needed as quick as possible. He found one in stock at Napa and quickly ordered it to have on hand for me. The tow truck didnt arrive until almost 4:30pm, but the mechanic at Waltons agreed to stay late (after 5pm) to complete the job and get me back on the road. I arrived at the shop only 5 minutes before closing, but the mechanic already had the part and completed the work right away. I was back on the road by 5:24pm. This shop saved my weekend in Reno by going the extra mile and accommodating me in my emergency.

Angela B The bad reviews you’ll read on here are 100% accurate. They are unethical and rude. They cut corners and I wouldn’t trust their work. Les Schwab is just up the street and 100 times better. I honestly don’t know how they haven’t been shut down.

If youre friends with the people who work there, your vehicle will get excellent service, if they dont know who you are, Horrible Service. They HAVE HORRIBLE COMMUNICATION SKILLS, also they charge $150 per hour just for shop fee on top of Labor, Parts, Taxes, etc., sure they can fix a tire, but Les Schwab is 100 Times Better, just up the Street a few blocks past train tracks. For Auto Repair, I suggest Waltons Auto Care - (1002 Maple St, Alturas, CA 96101) across the way behind Valero (Mini-Mart), way more PROFESSIONAL!

We would have had to drive more than 2 hours away to get the parts, Alturas tire shop was the only place in town that had the parts we needed. They were friendly and helpful and we wouldn’t have made it on our hunting trip if it wasn’t for them! Awesome place and people!

Had to deal with with a guy named Brandon who works here very poor customer service bad attitude hes seen in town drunk all the time never again will he touch my vehicle...had the same experience with a guy named Cody very poor manners... but its alturas what more can you expect I guess...

Matt helped me with the correct parts and they were delivered at 8 am the next morning. He gave me a discount on my parts and the staff gave us permission to work on our work van in the gravel on their property. I couldnt believe how easy going and accommodating they were. We are from a large city and would have never got this " open arms treatment" where we live. Thank you! You made this nightmare of a situation so much better to deal with.
