He is so knowledgeable and gave me the peace of mind to make it home at a reasonable price. I’m considering moving to Mammoth just to make this place my go to mechanic.

5 /5 Mike Aaron: Mike does great and honest work. I took my car in for new engine mounts, and he let me supply my own parts to save a little bit of money. When he found a couple more semi-urgent problems, he called me, explained the issues in detail, and accurately estimated how much it would cost if he were to fix them then and there. I gave him the ok, and he was finished by the end of the day. When I came to pick it up, he showed me the old faulty parts, and all I can say is I’m very grateful that he offered to replace them. He charged a very fair price for the work he did, and I never had a doubt in my mind that he was doing good and thorough work.(which can’t be said for many mechanics I’ve gone to). The difference I felt in my engine on the drive home was night and day, and the money was well worth having a solid car that I can be confident in again.

5 /5 Charles Lin: Having driven 5 hours on a Friday up to the area for a ski trip with a full car of friends, I was really shocked and disheartened when my car wouldnt start Saturday morning. After checking all the basics, I knew it was going to be something I would need a mechanic to help with. As someone who visits Mammoth Lakes quite often, I had that sinking feeling in my gut that I wouldnt be able to find a shop that would help me on a weekend. I searched and searched online and called practically every shop and was only able to speak with the Chevron Garage that turned me away saying they were 2 weeks out and couldnt see me until then. I tried one last call based on a good review I saw on yelp for Mountain Motors. Initially, I received a voicemail and my heart sunk. My call, however, was followed up with by a text message asking that I send a message back. I texted back and to my relief someone responded! It was my heroine, Nancy. She and Mike stopped by to take a look at my vehicle after hours on a Saturday. After some initial diagnosing we had the car up on the lift the next day and within hours Mike had found the problem and fixed it. This experience has been SO above and beyond my expectations of not just shops in the Mammoth Lakes area, but also any large metropolitan area as well. Not to mention Mike and Nancy are such kind and humble folk. If I could give 6 stars for this experience I would. THANK YOU Mike and Nancy.
