Jun Zhu Professional services; efficient; very honest and reliable! I had an issue with my seat belt buckle, which would have cost me a few hundred dollars anywhere else. Will passed away some months ago. American Automotive will deeply miss Wills expertise and character. However the shop will continue to grow and thrive with some young bucks taking the helm. Sixto Beltran I took my 1967 mustang fastback to have the exhausts system done, Alan and Denise was so very helpful.The car was not drivable so I had it towed and they were willing to push my car in out of the garage. J k Amazing experience with cat. He’s very approachable and understanding. He’s the only mechanic I’ve came across that doesn’t make me feel stupid when I explain the situation to him! Even more respect to his very affordable prices. I’ve suffered with a check engine light for months now, and these people are the only ones that could solve it! He told me if I have any issues I can come back and get it diagnosed again with no charge. Real blessing and an amazing man, shout-out to his knowledgeable technician as well.

Safe Side Security We were passing through Fremont on our way to Monterey to celebrate our anniversary when we noticed the fender was rubbing against the tire. Not wanting to risk a blow out on the drive, we stopped into Coelhos hoping someone could take a quick look. Even though it was late in the day on a Friday, the owner, Nelson (and his awesome employee), took the time to carefully asses and fix the issue on the spot. His genuine kindness and extensive car knowledge really stood out. Thanks to Nelson we were able to get back on the road safely and enjoy our weekend without worry. I HIGHLY recommend this family owned and operated company to anyone in the area. 10/10

Leo B. We brought our car in after they promised a quick repair. Instead, they only ran a diagnostic, quoted an outrageously high price, and told us the job wouldn’t be done anytime soon. Their attitude was extremely rude — they flat-out said, “If you don’t like it, pay for the diagnostic and take your car somewhere else.” Of course, we found a different shop where responsible professionals fixed everything quickly and for a fair price. These people should seriously learn how to provide proper service and how to talk to customers with basic respect. Zero stars — avoid this place!

Tony De Avila I recently took my Lexus to ASAP to have some new mufflers installed, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable, Noe took the time to explain my options without any pushy upselling. The installation was done in about 2 hours. The work was clean and professional; my car now sounds much quieter & that’s exactly what I was going for. Pricing was fair, and they even double-checked everything before handing me the keys. I’ll be sure to have future repairs/maintenance work done here.
