Prices are more than fair and theyre definitely not out to rob or hustle their customers! Its rare that I find a place where they put emphasis on being upfront, honest and sincere about their work and customer service. They have a top-of-the-line laser alignment system, and if you tell them that Luís from Costco sent you, theyll take good care of you! I do most of my mechanic work but when I need a job done that I cant do, I come straight to, Cosmic Automotive!!

    Maranda A: Installed a new a/c system. Once I left I smelled something burning. He told me that is normal to come back if it persists. I did. I was told the coolant system needs to be replaced. $$$ I went to a different auto shop, and they showed me that when A1 went through the parts to replace A/C, they left the caps off. Went with my new auto shop, for much cheaper price. I don’t like feeling I’ve been swindled with.

    Matthew Nathan: I drive for a living so my car is my business and it is important that I trust the people working on it. Mark and his brothers are the best in the Bay Area. Very down to earth people. Someone I could trust was very very important to me and I found it with Mark and his brothers. I had a noise coming from my transmission and had it looked at by several transmission services professionals here in the Fremont area. One guy told me my transmission was a CVT, I asked him how he know that and he said we just know. So he sent me off and told me just drive it till it gives out and comeback when you need a new one. That very same day I went to Marks and asked them "Do I have a CVT transmission?" They knew from years of experience that Toyota puts a sticker on the inside of the drivers door that says what transmission the car has and guess what... "It wasnt a CVT!" on top of that they drove my car with me in it, hooked up a diagnostic tool and explained to me what they were looking for and why they were looking for it. I dont understand cars but I do greatly appreciate them explaining to me what they were looking for. Ill keep the story short. Ultimately, they didnt sell me a new transmission, they had an additive that makes the transmission fluid more sticky and in my particular case thats what they recommend. That same day, I had that done and bam. My transmission felt like brand new again. Mark and his brothers have earned my business for life. Anything I need related to my engine or transmission they will be the first ones I call. No second and third opinions needed. I trust that what they tell me will be their best recommendation for whatever it is that I need. Mark and brothers, I bless your business with love, light and abundance. May you prosper in all ways. Thank you for being so genuine with me and helping me to get back on the road asap.

    Vineet Sinha: My Mercedes quietly died on the side of the road on a Sunday and I had it towed to 510. They carefully worked on it until she was nursed back to health. It was more than the battery. They had to replace a valve body on an exotic variant. It took a long time to find the part but they got it done. Treated much better here than at the Fletcher Jones dealership in Fremont. I’ve gone to about a dozen mechanics over the years in the Bay Area and Erik and his team are the ones I trust more than anyone. 5/5. Highly recommend.

    Andrew Chen: This review is a long time overdue~ last fall, I was about to go on a trip from the Bay Area to Portland, Oregon. My car battery was acting up, so I bought a new one and planned to replace it myself on the evening before my trip. That evening, however, I discovered that the old battery was so corroded that I couldnt remove it myself. Since I needed to leave the next morning, I searched up local mechanics in a panic, but most had closed already. When I called Martin, he was just about to close up shop. However, he not only kept the shop open until I could get there, but he patiently showed me how to do the battery replacement so that I could do it myself next time. After hearing that I was going on a long drive, he also checked other parts of my car to make sure they were in good condition for the road. I also had a great chat with him and his wife. They are wonderful people, and I would definitely recommend this place!

    COREY WILSON: A repair shop that cant be matched. Between the cost of repairs, to the combined years of experience between the three techs they have. An honest shop that can perform any repair on any make. Want to add a final respect to one of American Automotives long time mechanics. Will worked here for Allen many, many years. Will passed away some months ago. American Automotive will deeply miss Wills expertise and character. However the shop will continue to grow and thrive with some young bucks taking the helm. REST IN PEACE WILL.

He searched online for best prices for each part. Peter even looked into an oil issue our car was having and researched the warranty for us. He provided some great advice on how to handle the issue, even when it meant us going to the dealership for service instead of his shop. Prices were transparent, they gave a clear estimate of what everything would cost. Friendly and honest. Highly recommend!
