nate dizzel Best body shop experience. These guys take a little extra time but it’s worth it for excellent work. My front bumper and fender got demolished by an animal on I-80 and they replaced the bumper and fixed the fender like brand new. My car is only a couple months old and it looks just as good as the day I bought it. Paint matching was perfect. My car is a white pearl and that’s not an easy color to apply.

Jill Ellingson We were staying in Woodland from our of town and our car got damaged in a parking lot Sunday evening. Called Doans on Monday saying were were in town thru Thursday, could they help us out? Yes, they could! The car is back to its original state for an affordable price! Thank you so much for your work and professionalism!

Scott Ellingson Ended up with front end damage thanks to rebar on a parking curb at the hotel we were staying in. Even being out of town, the team at Doans were helpful, talked to my wife, not down to her. We had a couple of options and made a decision on a very quick estimate. Work was done on time with a team that was super polite, helpful, and professional. Highly recommend this shop! Amazing experience.

Adam Shishani My 1991 Corolla had a blown head gasket so I removed the cylinder head from the car and brought it in to get it properly inspected. This was the first time I took on a project like this on a car, so I asked the manager for advice on how to proceed. He clearly knows what hes doing; he immediately knew which engine my car has, made sure I had a special service bolt installed on the exhaust camshaft, and pointed right where the gasket was blown. For a very fair price of $240, I decided to get the entire cylinder head virtually remanufactured and the work was done in less than a week. He also discovered that somebody in the past attempted to resurface the gasket surface by hand, judging from the various high and low spots. Looks like we found the culprit! I put the engine back together and it runs beautifully now - probably as good as it ever ran. Its been well over a hundred miles and the engine shows no signs of breaking down any time soon. Should I ever need any other parts serviced, Id definitely come back here.

Adam Overmeer I took my flywheel here for resurfacing. It was ready by the next day and at a very reasonable price! The tech was very nice and was happy to explain the exact work he did to it. I will definitely return if I need more machining work in the future!

Nick DeCuzzi Make sure you get every price in writing and ask about “hidden costs” that will only appear when you go to pick it up. I got some work done here, was told a price, it was written on my drop off sheet, when I came to pick it up, that’s exactly what was done, and exactly what I was charged. Perfect. So I thought I could go back for some more work on two different things (the first job was on the same part I took there in the first place, I took it back because I noticed something else was wrong with it (which if I was called about and told of I would have likely had fixed in the first place, saving us both time and money). The other job I said “well if it is ruined, let me know and I’ll just find a new part because it’s cheaper to buy a new one”. Cool right? Well I left the parts there and only got a drop off list and not a price written down on the receipt (mistake #1). When I got a call that the second item was ruined (from the car not them), and was quoted a price well over $70 more than what other places I called quoted, and more than a new part. I said “nah don’t do the work then” and thought nothing of it. Well... fast forward almost 2 weeks later than the day I was told they would be ready to pick up, I sent my SO (mistake #2, because how would she know we talked about a price) to pick both items (one part was worked on and the other just sat there) the price was literally almost double the range we had discussed for the one job! So I guess, if you decline overpriced work, you’ll have some of that cost appear elsewhere on your bill. Sketchy way to run a business. Take the time to go somewhere else and always get prices in writing.

Tracy Dominguez We can’t thank Reuben and the entire team at Lopez Quality Auto enough for their incredible kindness and service. Our sprinter van broke down late on a Monday evening, and they welcomed us in at 6pm—well after most shops would have turned us away. They treated us like family, took the time to understand what was going on, and got us back on the road quickly and safely. In a stressful moment, they brought us genuine care and support. Highly recommend them to anyone needing honest, compassionate auto service!

Charles Stone My AC started acting up, and I was relieved this shop could get me in the same day. After a thorough inspection, they determined the issue was related to the car’s computer system…something only the dealership could properly address. What really stood out was how upfront and honest they were throughout the entire process. They didn’t try to sell me on unnecessary repairs or charge for work they couldn’t do. Instead, they clearly explained the problem, walked me through the next steps, and even offered to share their diagnostic notes to make things easier with the dealership. It’s rare to find a shop that values transparency and customer service this much. I’ll absolutely be coming back here for any future maintenance or repairs.

M C BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! I cannot emphasize enough how shady and predatory this place is from old man Lopez himself. My daughter and I were traveling and started to hear a slight clunking under the driver side tire. I had a suspicion that it was a loose swaybar nut as I installed a lift and I did not hear the clunk on the steering and strut. I told him we’re in the road and did small chat and asked where from and where to and proceeded to say $50 (clearly said FIFTY) then whatever else is wrong. His son did confirm it was a loose swaybar and Mr.Lopez then said it will be $140 plus diagnostics of now $60 so $200 even. I then questioned the diag fee and he said that it was $60. I then said $140 to tighten bolts?! He then replied to as well it’s the time and that no one else will do it around there. I said that’s ok and paid him the $60 and went to Harbor Freight. $30 in tools and 2 minutes later, noise was gone. I urge everyone to use caution if you insist on doing business here. Mr.Lopez should be ashamed.

Matthew Johnson I took my car in because the check engine light was on. Bowman said my oil was a quart low, and the problem probably has to do with the missing oil. No explanation on how to fix the situation, just a 300 bill. Then I took my car to toyota for maintenance, they said I was a quart high on oil.

Paul Dyer Shout out to Mario! I live far closer (walking distance) to another dealership, but when I had some issues, I took the 35 mile drive to Hoblit and Im glad I did. Nice having a repair shop work for the customer, and not against them like some other area dealerships do (especially on warranty work). Also nice having a service loaner offered to you and not have to fight for one when the work is going to take a few days for parts. Hoblit still has customer service, in a time where that seems something lost especially in the Automotive world. Highly recommend for any vehicle.

Syd Ray I told them my issue was my car key because it’s malfunctioning my car such as opening the trunk at random times, it is locking/unlocking at random times, and the key won’t start my car. When my key does start the car, the malfunction light comes on. They asked if it was the battery and I said no because Vacaville and Fairfield Dodge has already checked the battery and that is not the issue. They told me they would still have to do diagnostics to find out the issue. The issue is my key and I’m not going to pay another $279 for the problem not to be the battery or for Dodge not to find the problem. I asked them to look up my warranty and they could not find it because it’s not in the Chrysler system. I said it’s a Dodge warranty and they told me to bring in the warranty agreement. They said they could see my service contract but don’t know what is the service contract. I will not be back even though this is the dealership is in the town I live in.

Jeremy Mahan I never give bad reviews but in my opinion this one was earned. I bought a truck with Hoblit 5 years ago and asked for it to be checked and do a full service on it before going on a trip with my family. Mario was the guy I dealt with and who the story is about. I was told it was all done and they worked on it for “hours and hours.” He didn’t know that I have a monitoring device in my truck that tells me when it’s turned on and it’s every move. The long story short, they didn’t do what they said they did. They didn’t check it. The truck hadn’t moved an inch and wasn’t even turned on at the time he said that. I went on a camping trip with my kids and when I got back I had to change my tire, I found a large crack on my frame. They didn’t check the truck and sent me off in the mountains with my family with a cracked frame. When I confronted Mario he didn’t own anything. A simple, “we got backed up and didn’t look at it, sorry.” And I would have been on my way. But nope… went to his boss and his boss bill was kind, polite, listened, but ultimate my take away was he felt that whether they did the inspection or not that they wouldn’t have seen it. And maybe my tracker on the truck was mistaken… I personally won’t be back.

Rebecca My mom, brother and I were on a road trip from Illinois when we started hearing a grinding sound in our breaks minutes before arriving at where we would stay the night. I looked up car shops in the area and I saw Mar’s had great reviews, so I called the next morning seeing if he could fix my breaks before I had to leave early the morning after. Marco took us in that afternoon and he was very helpful, patient, understanding. He fixed the breaks and even when we heard a different grinding afterwards, he clearly explained that it was a rust-preventing coating in the breaks and it would go away in a couple days. Well, we left to continue our road trip to the Redwoods and the sound was gone within a day! We’ve had no problems since and we are extremely satisfied with Marco’s work, as well as the pricing! He was truly amazing and I would definitely stop by again if I’m ever in need and in the area!

PAULA JOHNSON-SMITH Charged $178.88 to fix the brakes in my husband’s car. We told them we wanted to know what was the issue. He bled the brakes….24 miles later brakes failed again so now we are stuck again. It is the master cylinder that is bad. Definitely not a real mechanic if you think that bleeding brakes resolves a master cylinder issue.

Schmidt Chris I was traveling to my new home from Washington State to Fresno, California. 10 miles outside of Woodland, I broke down, sheered off all the studs, lost the lugs, honestly I thought I messed EVERYTHING up. I had AAA pick me up (great tow company and wish I got his info) and suggest a shop that will take good care of me. Well he dropped me off on a Sunday. I stayed the night, rented a car and expected to pick it in a week or two. I showed up the next day, explained the situation, guys took me in and provided some relief on jumping on it. My thoughts (even calling my service contract company) Fil calls me 3days later, saying my vehicle was all fixed, minus some custom lugs (which was me for not ordering the proper ones). Now remember, I had thought at a minimum, over $1000 - nope, these guys got me back on the road for under $300!!!! I about fell out of my chair! The next day, jumped in the rental to drive the 7hr round trip. Fil & Hector even came and picked me up at the rental store. If you want a solid mechanic or shop, do yourself a favor… Go see F & R! I couldn’t have been happier with their entire team! Huge shoutout to the team! I hope I could make your guys’ shop a little happier with a few frosty beverages! Being a tad OCD - anyone I don’t know working on my car scares me, but can’t give these guys anything but 5 stars! I would have given them 10!!!
