We went in-person to several of the big name box stores like Blue Nile and Brilliant Earth, and we scoured hundreds of ring designs across dozens of other retail websites and jewelry stores. None of them came close to providing the intricacy, specificity to taste, and sheer quality when held in-hand compared to Avos creation. We had a specific design in mind (princess cut, eagle claws, a hidden halo with petals, pave band) which he quickly designed within a few days. He was very responsive to modifications we wanted to see - we feel like he really listened to even the smallest remarks. He also was able to source our dream diamond for less than everywhere else we looked. The turn-around time from our first meeting until the final customized product was in-hand was just under a month.
Needless to say, we will be going back to him for our custom wedding bands soon enough.
