K C I have been coming to Phong and Jennifer for about a year now. I live in San Pablo and drive to Albany just to see both. As soon as I enter they greet me and my bf with smiles. They have hand sanitizer as soon as you enter and their salon is super clean too! I love their services and I always leave satisfied. I highly recommend these two lovely ladies.

Gonzalo Martinez My partner went to get gel nails (full set/gel tips), pedi and eyebrow clean up. She messaged me half way through to come get her and left very upset but waited to get to the car to burst into tears. She waited for so long to get her nails and feet done only to be miss led and made to think she was getting what she asked for, and when she was finally able to tell the woman what she really wanted and not get cut off, the woman said they didn’t do that there but instead of stopping and asking if she still wanted to continue, she kept putting product on her nails and told her that what she wanted would ruin her nails which really upset my partner. She’s not a confrontational woman so she let her finish, paid her and even tipped her and left which most wouldn’t of done but she was very hurt. No business should act like that. If your clients want something you can’t provide tell them that and let them go somewhere that can give them what they want. Don’t make them think you are giving them what they are asking for only to make a buck. Then tell them what YOURE doing is better for them. You don’t know what these clients are going through. My partner just got out of the hospital and wanted to feel pretty and get pampered and you ruined that for her. We definitely will not be coming back

Jenia Ellis Got a gel fill today. They only do gel no acrylics. The salon was clean and quiet the selection, of polish was kind of small but the quality of work was fantastic. The nail tech spent 1.5 hours giving me the fill and she was meticulous and careful. 40$ later my gel fill and gel polish look great.

But thanks to Yelp, I happen to stumble on The Beauty Bar. Met the most wonderful human being who happens to be an artist when it comes to putting on lash extensions. Her name is Winnne. And I want to thank her for doing such a beautiful job! ❤️

Stephanie Littlefield Winnie is amazing! It has taken me a couple years to find a lash expert that does work that meets my expectations and Winnie goes above and beyond. Not only is she amazing at lashes, but a great person all around. She is patient, friendly, and super knowledgeable. As long as she is in business, I will be coming here!

SIEMU Ms Cherry is the master of eyebrows , incredibly professional and friendly . She has a lovely personality and makes you feel at ease and relaxed in her studio.The studio itself is absolutely stunning , clean, with an elegant and luxurious atmosphere . I had uneven, mismatched brows from a previous artist but Ms Cherry corrected them and they look so great and natural , she knows what color and shape goes with your face . I could not be more satisfied with how my brows turned out after seeing Ms Cherry , I highly recommend . Thank you

AJ This might have been my best experience at a nail salon ever. I came in with old gel wanting a manicure and new gel, $35 sounded great to me. Annie actually gave me an awesome manicure (sometimes they skip that part), she sealed my cracked nail with thin acrylic for no charge, she changed her towels frequently, and made me wash my hands before painting my nails, she took care of each individual finger as she was sculpting a masterpiece, took her time showing me a billion colors before we started, and just all around paid so much attention and time to my hands it made me feel special!!! Thank you Annie! I will be back:)))

Jwck Lee She cut me with a dirty nail file she used on the previous client. Didnt give me what I asked for whatsoever. Asked for square and got coffin. None are the same length or thickness. And I asked for ACRYLIC toes and they decided to use gel polish on my skin to give the effect. Never coming again Ill find a tech.

She is a pro with all ethnicities... you wont be disappointed. But when you go always call for an appointment first, she does drop in but appointments get priority...

Toni Toni Miss Mai is so nice and friendly and she really feels like a friend. I have had issues with comfort while getting my nails done but Mai is extremely personable and considerate. The silk nails are really lovely too and Id recommend them for anyone who gets gels on a regular schedule. Shes also been very open to talking things out when Im not sure what I want and I always come out happy!

Lotus Mai is a diamond in the rough. To be honest, so many nail techs are racist and refused to do my nails or did things to make me run. I have never felt a racist vibe from Mai. She has a good spirit and she does a beautiful job. Im surprised how strong my nails are. They look natural and I get compliments on them. She provides a relaxing environment and if you want conversation youll walk away feeling good.

OurFOREVER FAMILY Update: Per my last review, I said that I would return within the week. I did, and I was able to schedule with Tina. I didnt post updates at that time , however, I was given a discount off my nail service, and they lasted two weeks without lifting. I didnt like the chrome application, because it was applied with a gloves finger and this mentality that there was visible open gaps, which Tina dismissed as a new nail design. I returned after two weeks, and Tina did not push my cuticles back, but applied the product on my skin, which caused lifting and water to get under the nail. After my fourth appointment, it is clear that I wouldnt recommend this salon for nails or chrome nails polish(see images), as the service quality is inconsistent. But the pedicures are good. I planned on giving a review after my 2nd visit to compare and contrast. I would have elected to give a higher review, however customers are not allowed to request the desired nail technician at this location. This was my second visit to this salon, and I was quite disappointed with my experience this time. I work in water and specifically mentioned this to the younger less mature nail technician. I gently attempted to explain how to apply the product, and was met with resistance and insolence. Although she reluctantly yielded to one request, she refused others. As a result of her unwillingness to listen to my request, my acrylic nails began lifting after just a week. During the appointment, I noticed that she did not push back my cuticles—a critical step to ensure the acrylic adheres properly and prevents lifting. On my first visit, I had a much, much better experience with Tina, who followed all the necessary steps with great care. She pushed back my cuticles, prepped my nails correctly, and applied the acrylic beautifully. As a result, my nails lasted for two weeks without any lifting, despite my work in water. My Daughter and I also enjoyed our pedicures. For those unfamiliar with the process, the California Board of Barbering and Cosmetology outlines important steps for acrylic application: 1. **Sanitization**: Hands must be sanitized before the service begins. 2. **Cuticle Care**: Pushing back and trimming cuticles is essential for adhesion. 3. **Nail Preparation**: Buffing the natural nail to remove shine allows the acrylic to bond effectively. 4. **Primer Application**: Applying primer helps the acrylic adhere to the nail. Primer should be applied to each nail in conjunction with acrylic. Not allowing extended time for primer to be absorbed into the nail bed. 5. **Acrylic Application**: The acrylic mixture should be applied evenly and shaped properly. 6. **Shaping and Buffing**: After setting, the nails should be shaped and buffed smoothly. 7. **Final Polish or Top Coat**: Sealing the acrylic with a top coat ensures durability and shine. Unfortunately, this time around, the technician skipped essential steps, leading to my nails lifting prematurely. I expected a consistent level of service, especially since Tina had provided such a great experience during my first visit. I hope this salon addresses these inconsistencies for future clients. I will return this week, and update my review on how the Salon handles this issue for my community.

Nicole Nappi This place is dirty. They do not clean the pedicure chairs after every use. I paid 60 bucks and asked for the simplest design that every nail salon should know how to do, a French tip and the poor lady was so old and couldnt do it and was asking others how to do it someone had to step in. With so many other nail shops to choose from in the area this is NOT IT. I will never go here again and thought it was so bad everyone else should know. Also, if the pedicure chairs arent cleaned you can only imagine that the tools arent either!

Oomie Says First and last visit here. Got a pedicure with gel, really great. I don’t remember the nail techs name but she was nice lady. I also tried to get an acrylic fill with a design with a different nail tech. We couldn’t get past the removal of my old design before this nail tech choose to PRY OFF my old acrylic on one finger and STABBED my nail bed with the tool that I’m not even sure was clean. When I expressed that it hurt and ask he soak it off, he proceeds to try to convince me to let him pry it off again. I said no I don’t want you using that tool on me because now it looks like I am bleeding under my nail bed. He applied some sort of remover and left and said someone else will help me. No apology. Only attitude. And he grinded my natural nail so low and made a dent in the middle. I pointed this out but he didn’t seem to care. I ended up making an appointment somewhere else while I was waiting for the other nail tech to come help me. She was super nice and offered multiple tomes to help and be gentle. I just couldn’t do it, she understood and felt bad. Google reviews are misleading, yelp reviews seem more accurate. Exercise caution with this place, especially the older man that sits in the station by the window in the corner.

Tina and all of the nail techs are top notch at this no frills unfancy but clean neighborhood nail salon. Bring your headphones and enjoy your extremely fair priced quality services. Best to make an appointment bc this is a local gem but sometimes you luck out on a last min call or walk in.

Di A I got a manicure done with builder gel the first time I went and I loved it. I came back for the same service and it was not the same. I requested a builder gel manicure and they gave me a different person who did not do the same good job as Nancy. My nails are all different lengths and I had to request to get them fixed multiple times. They charged me $40 for builder gel removal and regular gel polish. When I came last time I got a fresh set of builder gel and removal for $45.

princess adona Super glued my cuticle surrounding my nail to my nail deliberately. Extremely filed my nails short, narrow and into my natural nail under the tips and crooked ZERO RATING IF POSSIBLE, Jenny Super glued the whole cuticle circumference to my nail in purpose, said it was to keep my nail from lifting?! superglued cuticle to nail is not ok, especially without communicating the act, which can cause growth defects once nail bed grows, if I didn’t notice. I definitely deserve a refund and more. Very unpleasant treatment from Jenny, so unfortunate and disheartening, I literally just stopped the service, once I had enough and realized she was purposely mistreating me, paid for the service up to the point of where I decided I had enough mistreatment, which was placing acrylic fill and replaced both thumb tips, 65$ at Jennys request, a fill never being that price and I did not stay for design or color, I do not recommend, and am fully disappointed.Crooked, and taken soo low to the point where the tip can not be corrected and only filed down to the nail bed edge cutting into my natural nail, which I verbally expressed I was growing out, so I could eventually just get overlay style acrylics on my natural nail! I don’t know why I was treated soo harshly, I’d always take my daughter to their salon a few years back and thought it would be nice to start investing in my own self care, so I went to Nails 4 you, I’ve paid fully, and tipped for the one first time acrylic set that I had done 2 weeks prior for my daughters bday, and was returning for a new design and fill, replacing tips on both thumbs that broke. Prior to super gluing my whole cuticle to my nail and nailed edge, -Jenny, ignored when I tried to show her example photos on my phone -had my hand in the drier to the point where it was burning, and when I told her it was burning and felt like my nail was cooking she said “ I know.”, ( which honestly I should have got up and stopped the service at that point), then she sprayed solution to stop the burning I feel like she was waiting for more of a reaction, which sounds odd but literally to say “I know.” When I told her it was burning bad, is way more odd and only the one thumb was burning and she didn’t even place my left hand in the dryer to set the acrylic only my right hand, which I now wonder was intentional - clipped my tips way shorten than length needed for my cat tip style request -filed my nails aggressively to the point my natural nail tip was filed into - filed my nails extremely crooked -aggressively squeezing and positioning my fingers and pushed my hands when she told me to wash them after supergluing my nail to cuticle and filling the nails down more Kindly told Jenny I wanted to stop and I’ll pay her for the point of service we reached, which was replacing the thumb tips and an acrylic fill, no polish or design Jenny requested 65$!!!!! Talilah Douglas I love this place and Im so glad that I found Jenny and Be. They are both great nails technicians providing acrylic and powder services. They do have a lot of regulars so I do recommend to make an appointment walking in is not recommended at all most times theyre not able to squeeze anyone in. Not only are they great with nails but they are an excellent location for any and all of the latest techniques and nail designs. I have referred so many friends I have about 8 people that I know now going to them. Tina is also great with feet she always takes her time and makes sure that your toes are perfect

I typically get a dip manicure, and Hannah is my go-to. She is amazing; I even trusted her with my wedding nails last year. Today, I had the pleasure of having my nails done by the new team member, Kelly, and she was incredible. I highly recommend K&T Nails!

Sandy D I’ve been a loyal customer at this nail salon for a long time. I enjoy their pedicure treatments and the wide variety of nail polish and gel colors available. However, I had a negative experience on Saturday. Despite scheduling an appointment with my daughter, I was left waiting for over an hour because I did not schedule my appointment with a specific nail technician. Other clients who arrived after me and schedule appointments with a specific person, were seen and served by technicians. They in fact, walk to them. I understand is very busy on a Saturday, but this prioritization of those who arrived later than me was disappointing. I ended up canceling my appointment. By the way the person that is working at the cash register is very nice.
