Christine Williams I have been going to Lanay for a year now for facials and she is amazing! My skin has never felt or looked better. She has so many different types of treatments she can do. The dermaplaning is a must do add on. I highly recommend Lanay for all your skin care needs or for a little self care pampering.

She has an excellent eye for what my skin needs and provides a therapeutic experience that is deeply relaxing and nourishing. My skin looks and feels amazing, and I always feel nourished and refreshed. Lanay also carries several lovely lines of skincare and can make careful recommendations for what I need, as well as suggesting thoughtful gifts for others in my life. I cannot recommend her enough.

NomiThe_ 64th I go here all the time for a haircut, wonderful staff, Spanish/English speaking staff, preferred call in for appointment, walk-ins sometimes (usually long wait so just call ahead instead to book an appointment).

Pamela Yambao DO NOT GO TO ALEJANDRA! She doesn’t know what she’s doing. I’m convinced no one there knows what they’re actually doing. They act like they do but don’t really care how you want your hair. Alejandra asked personal questions during my appointment. We needed someone to guide her and she should’ve asked her colleagues for advice, instead of digging into clients personal lives. My hair was platinum blonde. She even asked to send a pic of how I wanted my hair. I asked to get only my roots done and not to touch the rest of my hair bec I love the way it was already. She didn’t listen, she dyed my roots and then toned my whole head. She didn’t check on the bleach as much as other professionals have in my experience nor did she touch anything up if needed. Vanity Salon is unresponsive about his issue. Alejandra offered to tone my hair even more as if it isn’t already grey enough. She also offered a partial refund which I hesitated to agree to bec it was her mistake so she should take full responsibility. Just like if she did a great job she should expect to be paid in full, possibly with a nice tip included, but no. I still haven’t received anything as far as my “partial refund” nor a response back from anyone. Only person I recommend is Janet and she doesn’t even work there anymore. Good luck ! This is a warning if you love yourself.... DO NOT GO HERE! Another person to look out for is Xochilt Hernandez. She will give you wrong advice and will most likely recommend you to Alejandra to ruin your hair. God bless

Amina Rahimi Ive been coming here for about 6 months now. I found Maribel off of instagram and she is AMAZING! What I love about her the most is that she takes her time and makes sure that you are happy. My hair has been a process and she has been informative with me throughout every step. She will not let you leave until you are satisfied. I would recommend her work to anyone.

Tom Wisherop This a great place for great haircuts and color for women and men of all ages. Found by my late teen daughter, vanity salon is a family favorite. The women see Ashley, and the men see Wee. I am a middle aged man and switched from my stylist of 30+ years, and weve been nothing short of pleased by the quality, price, and accessibility.

KatAnne Monroy This place is definitely pricey but very nice and very accommodating! The lady that helped us was able to get us all in even though the appointments were scheduled wrong and with a smile on her face. And we were all very happy with our mani/pedis!

Jasmine Carrillo I purchased a Groupon deal from here called: "European Style Organic Facial." But fter my visit, I learned that this is NOT an organic facial, so be advised that this salon is using False Advertising. I bought their "organic facial" Groupon deal for my mother and I, and we were both excited to use it. I have sensitive skin, so I am only able to use organic products on my face, and that is the ONLY reason I purchased this groupon deal. I would not have purchased the deal if it did not clearly state that its an organic facial. When I arrived for the facial, I politely asked Rekha to see which products she is using for my organic facial, which she was clearly annoyed by me asking. She tried to brush it off and simply say "theyre organic, theyre organic," so I politely asked to see the products because I am familiar with skin products. She became more aggravated by this, even though I was being very polite and non-confrontational. She finally took the products out of the drawer, threw them on the table, and I immediately noticed that these were low quality products, definitely NOT organic, and more like a cheap line you would buy at Rite-aid. I asked her "where does it say that this is organic?" To which Rekha replied "you see! it says Papaya!" Of course I replied and said "ok but Papaya does not mean Organic, and I bought this deal because it was supposed to be an organic facial, so please show me how these products are organic"...At that point, Rekha said to me "Im not going to do your facial, youre wasting my time, " then she demanded that I leave. The false advertising was bad enough, but seeing how Rekha responded to my polite questions, then demanded me to leave when I exposed the false advertising, showed me why Ill never return, nor recommend their salon.

She asked all the right questions and paid attention to the quirks of my hair to make sure I got the look I wanted. Glenn Gustafik My barber Ryan is the bomb! I have never liked a haircut more than the cuts I receive from him. He is professional, really talented and just an all around great guy. The shop is extremely clean and everyone acknowledges you when you walk in. Best barbers anywhere.

alma e martinez All of the barbers here are super talented! No misses, all hits here! Most of all, the vibes are incredible! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and it’s always a good time in here with lots of laughs. Abe, the owner, is so humble and is great with kids. My son loves getting his haircuts with Abe, but when he isn’t available and my son is in need of a cut, we don’t mind seeing anyone else in the shop. They all do a great job!

Jordan Wesley Great barbershop. All the barbers are friendly and welcoming here plus they are all very talented in what they do. Shop is extremely clean and comfortable. Been getting cut by Juan for years and he always does a fantastic job. Free drinks while waiting and getting cut is a real nice perk too! Would highly recommend this barbershop for anyone looking in the Contra Costa area.

Leigha S She fit me into her schedule last minute. I needed a fix for my long lox lost and new found visual catastrophe of a haircut, I had inflicted on myself earlier in the day. (Think David Bowie and Moe with some sheers and a razor, during an earthquake all at the same time). Anyway, it was a decent place, and a pleasant experience. It was also cost effective. Elizabeth was very gracious, and some how, able to choke back any outbursts of hysterical laughter after removing my hat. I was feeling hopeful. Unfortunately, my stunning looks could not be saved. The cut was unreconcilable and I layed any thoughts of showing off my ability to flow with the cool kids to rest for the next.. 6 months. We briefly discussed some color perhaps taking the focus off of the sharp edges, and razor shaven look around my ears, ( not in-similar in effect to the furors himself). But we decided to save the miracles for those who are easier to save that night . Perhaps, sometime soon.

Lea B Tammy was so sweet to me the entire time I was here. The previous place I went to for a trim apparently "didnt know how to cut womens hair" and "specialized in mens haircuts" even though all the people working there were women. They made my hair look chopped up with some uneven parts in the back. Tammy fixed up everything and helped me with the blunt bob look I wanted!! Whenever I need a trim or to get my nails done, Im definitely coming back.

Steph Bola She fit me in last minute but it was a huge mistake. I came in for an ends trim and when I sat in the chair she showed me the amount of hair she was going to be cutting which was only an inch to cut the split ends only. But she completely chopped almost 4 inches off my hair I told her specifically I don’t want a hair cut just an ends trim. Almost like it was done on purpose now my hair is so short with the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten. I was able to get my money back but it doesn’t take the fact that she ruined my hair. I had made a lash appointment with her but I ended canceling I’m really just upset.

Azeeta Nikoui Lan saved my lashes 3 days before my wedding! I originally made the mistake of getting my lashes done elsewhere, where I was overcharged for lashes that were going every which way, falling out and poking me in the eyes immediately after leaving my appointment. When I brought this to the attention of the chick who originally did my lashes she did not offer to help, or even respond. I found Lan the next day and luckily she was able to help! I called Lan on the verge of tears knowing I either had to have them fixed or removed in a hurry before my wedding and I had very little time. She responded immediately and took me in as soon as possible once I got off work. Lan was able to remove the bad lashes and salvage what she could. My lashes came out looking just how I was hoping. I am definitely going to return and cannot thank her enough for saving the day! Highly recommended!

Sabrina Henderson Do not go here if you want your lashes to stay the way they are and able to continue getting lash extensions you need to not go here and save your lashes! I got one set the most expensive one and one fill leaving me with no lash extensions and all my lashes broken at the halfway mark from the lashes falling out not to mention it’s unprofessional and I don’t even think she is is properly certified! Same experience for my sister only she got one set her first ever and this happened to her after three days mind you the women was amazing my first set and the second one she was working in three people at the same time and rushed through all our fills even though they were different ones! I can honestly say she could do good but she overbooks herself constantly causing her to reschedule clients and forcing them to pick up where she lacks by payin more and her spending less time and I’m very grateful I found out after only two services but it sucks that now me and my sister are horrified to get lash extensions from anyone because of what this woman did to our what were long beautiful lashes they were just naturally blonde and we didn’t like doing our mascara and makeup everyday so lashes for an amazing fix to our daily stress of getting ready for work and school were both young moms so you can imagine the stress and lack of sleep and time. Anyways now mascara doesn’t even help because we have no length whatsoever but we’re too afraid to go to someone else to get lash extensions even though we’reore than willing to pay and tip! We even tipped this woman $20 for both services ugh I just can’t believe she chose to do great the first time and then totally destroyed me the second time and my sister her first time I wouldn’t be surprised if the other woman getting hers done at the time has the same problem! Please ladies do not get your lashes done here!!!!
