Mona Abutouk Megan is an incredible hair stylist and salon owner! She is focused, pays attention to detail, and is reliable. The salon is so cute with great customer service ( delicious hot cider if you want!). I trust her 100% with my hair and IBE extensions -- she is good at listening to concerns and problem solving and making sure Im happy with my hair. She has check in forms that she sends to clients prior to appointments so you can bring up your concerns on there if youre too embarassed to voice them in person and she actually reviews them and bring them up during your appointment ( again the attention to detail!!!). 10/10 recommend

Danielle Tatsuno I love Kristina!! I’ve been going to Kristina for over 3 years now; I came in my first time having no experience with ever getting my hair colored and she walked me through the process and now I come back and know when/what to ask for! Whether it be just a tone and cut, or the full highlight, she has always understood what I’ve envisioned (either by showing a Pinterest or Instagram pic or just by describing it to her) and made it into a reality. She also makes you feel so welcome and I love my appointments because I get to chat with her. She’s the best and I will always trust her with my hair!!

L Mancini Congratulations Sadie after 74 years this is the worse haircut I have ever had. Even after I showed you a picture and instructed you exactly what I wanted. Camryn siverson Laurette was amazing! She studied my hair for a few minutes figuring out what would work best. She did methods such as ghost layers and face framing to make my hair look more flattering and lighter (I have thick and long hair). She was so easy to talk to and did an amazing job bringing out my natural waves. Todd is amazing too, my entire family uses him and he never disappoints! Thank you so much blade runner!

Traci Meyer First time at The Refinery. The owner is very welcoming. I had a cut in mind and Rachel was very knowledgeable about how the style would work with my hair type. She was very relaxed and confident. My hair turned out just like I had hoped-for. I will definitely be back. Im not going anywhere else.

Mike Linn The Refinery is awesome, and John and his staff make sure that not only will you have a great cut/color/whatever you want to accomplish with your hair, but you will also be in the company of excellent humans while doing so. Prices are super fair, space is super nice... I dont know how many superlatives I need to use to emphasize that you should go here :)

Yvonne Harvey We had a outrageously good cut from long to short for the summer! Great place and wonderful atmosphere for both men and women. Our master hairdresser Thomas was the neatest person and did the best cuts we ever had! Highly recommend! Got in next day no issues!!

She has been doing my hair for many years now and I am always happy. I love the color and cut. I always get compliments after seeing Maggie, so I have lots of chances to recommend her. Lindsay Strawn. If I had to sum Lindsay up in three words: Attention to Detail (and an amazingly genuine human being!). She’s been my stylist for over seven years and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Lindsay is attentive, receptive, and takes her time to perfect my cut/color. Without a doubt, she can create ANY style you’re looking for with ease and has the experience to handle every type of hair, regardless of the stress you’ve put it through. Her delicate touch and calming presence enhance an already wonderful salon experience. A true master of her craft, she always makes sure I get the results I’m looking for when I walk out the door. It never ceases to amaze me the scope of her skills and dedication to her craft. Finding the right salon can be a daunting experience, as many of us know too well. Mary Williams Melissa at Salon Glo is fantastic! I went for my first appointment yesterday and Melissa was so accomodating, professional and a superior cut and color artist! Melissa really listened to me when describing what I would like for my appointment. I would definitely recommend her.

Sharelle cut my hair and was very knowledgeable and nice to recommend products that were very good and smelled great for my hair. Aundie Rogo I had an awful experience with a local salon 2 months ago. I made an appointment here, hoping that anything would be better. Rakesha, was absolutely fabulous. 21 21 I just moved here a year ago, havent found my " fav" yet.. however... today I made a apt with Niki here at 3, and she was absolutely wonderful. I work in Healthcare so I really value a personality and some spunk!! As well as professionalism and laughs.. she made me feel right at home with my aunt or momma. Thanks Nikki! Tika Rae Alison, the new owner, has really fixed up the place. It has curbside appeal now and the inside has been totally been updated. Which to me shows that she takes pride in her salon. I had my hair colored by her serval times and have never been dissatisfied. The salon now offers facials, so I decided to treat myself. John, the Facialist did an excellent job. He explained the products he was using prior to applying and took his time. I came out of the salon glowing. I will recommend both of them to my friends.

Robert Thorson I’ve been getting my hair cut by Bryce for over almost year now, plan to for as long as he’s cutting hair and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Bryce is not only incredibly skilled but also genuinely passionate about his craft. Every visit is a fantastic experience, and I always leave looking my best.

Mandy Arias I recently had the pleasure of a waxing session with the talented Fawn and I couldnt be happier with the experience! From the moment I walked in, I felt completely at ease. Fawns warm and friendly demeanor instantly calmed my nerves, and I knew I was in good hands. The waxing process was not only efficient but also comfortable, thanks to Fawns expert technique. I also appreciated the high quality of product that she uses. Fawn truly knows her stuff and made sure I left feeling fabulous! Lauryn Niezen I love the staff and variety of services that Eleven Eleven offers. The owner, Sierra, is the utmost professional and holds the standards high for her salon. I recommend anyone there as I have booked with other stylists when Sierra isnt available for a short notice appointment. Im always happy with my hair when I leave. Her assistant Cynthia is wonderful as well!

Kara Lin From the minute I walked into the salon; I knew I was in a special place. The atmosphere is so special from the black bricks and the plants to the pink lights. I had a conglomerate of colors in my hair. Jamie B. transformed my hair into a magical creation of chocolate, caramel and vanilla. She uses good products and achieved a bright blonde money piece without damaging my hair.

Julia Rocchio I just got my hair cut by Jaimie. She did an amazing job, and I loved the way it turned out. If you are looking for a great hair salon in San Luis Obispo, I highly recommend The Powder Room!

Corey Lintner Wade is a cool guy to talk to and a very skilled barber. He gave me the best haircut I’ve had in a long time. The shop is awesome with lots of great artwork everywhere. The online appointment website is really convenient and makes finding availability and scheduling super easy. He also works late which is ideal for an after work cut. Overall the whole experience was very enjoyable and I plan on being a regular customer of his. Thanks again Wade!

Cassandra Richford Wade is an amazing barber. He is laid back and easy going. The shop is set up to feel like your hanging out in a friends garage back in the 90s, he has game systems, arcade machine, music, tvs, etc. He is also very passionate about his work and does wonders. Took both my sons in to see him and they are both very pleased with their new hair styles. I wont be taking them any where else.

Zach Dre and Wade are both pros. I’ve got my hair cut by both and both are great barbers who leave me looking fresh again. Place has a super chill vibe, this is for sure my new spot. 10/10 would recommend. Prices here are competitive compared to the others in the area too.

Birdie W Hands down the best place to get your eyelash extensions done. I’ve been coming to Stephanie for years now and can not recommend her enough. She is extremely knowledgeable, friendly and always makes you feel comfortable and welcome. AND she personalizes your set for you and listens to what you want.

Carissa Cuellar Stephanie is amazing! She is so sweet and always does such a great job. I absolutely love my lashes after every appointment and the retention is phenomenal. She is the BEST!!! I always get so many compliments about my lashes. She is very talented and I would not hesitate to recommend Stephanie to anyone looking to get top quality lash extensions!

Marielle Capuno Stephanie is super sweet and chill, her new studio is so cute and has a great vibe. Just moved so I was looking for a new lash tech and I’m so stoked that I found her! So happy with the quality and retention. You can tell she puts hard work into what she does and her passion really shows. Can’t recommend enough!

Whitney Malzhan I was hesitant to schedule my toddler for his first haircut, but my friend posted an "after" photo of her son on Facebook, and I figured if she trusted Mint Salon and Spa with her sons hair, I could too. Savannah has now given my little guy two haircuts and she is great! She is quick, but also patient, and my only complaint is that my little man looks so much more grown up afterwards! The salon is tucked away a bit from Broad Street, but its in the same parking lot as Black Horse (bonus!).

Grace Gabbard Taylor is the best hair stylist! Her coloring and cuts are always the best and I always receive amazing service here.

susan nanas Allison is the best colorist in San Luis Obispo. Her technique is simply amazing. Her patience and dexterity result in amazingly natural color.

Alisha C My first experience at Kim and Co. was beyond lovely, the atmosphere, the entire staff and Kim herself were kind, compassionate and professional. I was recently in the hospital and due to a current health issue and I can’t get my back wet to shower or wash my hair properly. Kim herself thoroughly cleansed my scalp and double shampooed me, all the while letting me kvetch about my health issues. The way my hair felt and looked after getting cleansed was night and day, and furthermore she refused to let me pay! I will absolutely be going back as soon as I’m able for a full cut and styling. They have a parking lot, adorable exterior, and that delicious salon smell when you come in the door. I perused their selection of wonderful products in the front, ranging from skincare to hair products and they even had a small section for locally made knitwear and accessories. The staff is super helpful and the vibe was delightful. You will not regret visiting this salon, my mom regularly sees Vanessa for her haircuts and her hair is always looking so cute for her face shape and easy to style at home. Thank you Kim and Co. from the bottom of my heart, you made my week brighter and I feel like a new human with very clean hair.

Stephanie B. I started going to Kim for my hair needs the summer before my wedding. She is AMAZING. I have never had such a good cut in my life. I have very thick straight hair but she was able to make it look wonderful with out a lot of styling after I left. She put beautiful highlights in it for me too and I always got exactly what I asked for. This is not a hair artist that takes liberties with your hair, you get what you ask for the first time! All of the staff is very friendly and accommodating as well. She did my hair and make-up for my wedding and I would not have had it any other way. Ive gotta say I think I looked pretty awesome! One of the girls did my nails for my wedding as well, I had no idea what she did was even possible! I had no idea they could take straight glitter and do just the tips of my nails! I even got to pick three different glitters to mix together and she made them "fade" the way I wanted them to. Two of my bridesmaids had theyre hair done for the wedding by two other stylists and they were very happy with the results as well. I would recommend them to any one!
