Maxwell Soeth Consistent hours, consistent cut and still at a low price. Rocky takes his time no matter how busy he is. I only wish i would have found him 7 years ago when I moved here. Best barber in Humboldt and Ive tried many of them!

Jack Walsh Rocky is a great barber and overall great guy. Ive been getting my hair cut here for awhile, but I especially appreciated him allowing me to stop by with my young Bassethound. Thats not to say this is a dog friendly establishment, I dont want to sow doggie chaos at his little shop, but I appreciate him putting up with her for the duration of my cut! If youre like me and appreciate experience and a good personality, I suggest going to Rocky and help him be assured a comfortable future retirement.

T Rocky saw me first thing in the morning, I am pleased he is open so early because I am a busy man. He was pleasant, kind, and I’ve never had someone do such a thorough job. It is no surprise he has been in business for over 50 years. Highly recommend!

Heinrich Soltow Still open during COVID. Use their website and make an online appointment. My stylist (Kendall H.) was on time and courteous. Ive had the same haircut for 12 years, decided to change it up. Kendall was very patient and understanding and worked with me to get exactly what I wanted. I understand that mens cuts are sometimes harder (less hair to worth with, fades are difficult, and some men are very picky), but she persevered. I am very happy with the result.

Edith Fritzsche I am so happy to have Junipers delightful owner Frances back in my life and using her magic on my hair! She is, and keeps, a staff of very professional, polite, and highly skilled stylists. My appointments are always on time, and Frances and the other stylists have always taken the extra time needed to cut my curly, now greying, hair. I always look and feel 100% better when I leave the salon! Thank you, to the entire Juniper staff, for your years of kind, caring service!

Kathryn Downs Sarah Bidney is incredible! Shes been my nail girl for a few months now and always is exceeding my expectations with my nails! Ive been getting GelX from her and my current set is holding strong at 5 weeks! Shes also my first choice for when I need a trim on my hair; she gave me the cutest shaggy cut that works for my wavy hair and when I straighten it!

carmen mauk Aimee is the absolute best hairdresser I have ever had. I have been going to Aimee for years and have always received fabulous haircuts and color. She is naturally talented and keeps up with the latest techniques and styles. I highly recommend her color services, especially if you need a color correction. She works magic on my hair and I am so grateful for her consistent attention to detail when cutting my hair.

Julianna Mike was an absolute delight to chat with, and gave my boyfriend a sick haircut. The shop was very clean and neat, and I loved that I got to pet his very sweet husky while I waited. He was really thoughtful and made sure my boyfriend was happy with the cut. The vibes were immaculate, and we are 100% coming back.

Michael Sundman Mike is great for kids cuts too. Took my little grems in for a trim and theres Mario Kart on the TV and gumballs for dessert. And if your kids dont behave, its a one chair shop so no need to worry about bothering other customers. Thanks Mike!

Andrew Soriano "5 Stars - Best Haircut in Eureka!" I booked a haircut here just to see if it really deserved all the hype. Usually, I go for the cheapest place around because, hey, how hard can a regular guys haircut be, right? Well, turns out, it makes a huge difference when you find the right barber. Ive seen the worst and now, hands down, the best barber shop in Eureka. This guy nailed it! I asked for a pretty standard cut, but he took it to the next level. Who knew a basic cut could look this good? Not only is the haircut spot on, but hes also a good guy – easy to talk to and professional. Made me feel relaxed. If youre looking for a top-notch cut without the fuss, this is the place.

Alicia has been cutting my hair for 2 years now...It is always clean and Alicia has been ready to go for me on time every time - which is important because I get my haircut on my lunch break. Allison Kenney This salon is the best Ive found in Humboldt. It has a great ambiance. They use Davines hair products which are THE best. Ive been to Justine twice now and plan to go to her forever! The first time was for a cut, and the second time was for a styling for a holiday party. She is so sweet and makes you feel totally at home in her chair. I was so happy with my hair and the beautiful beach waves she gave me. She even gave me tips on curling my own hair AND let me borrow her hair wand to practice at home. Overall a great experience here!

Juanita McKeever Clean and cute. Not New Creations any more but Wild Roots. A bit expensive for just a quick haircut, nothing fancy. Cant afford to go often, if at all. Stylist was very nice and friendly.

Kim M I went in without an appointment and got right in so I guess I timed it right. I got right in and the tall thin gal who cut my hair listened to every detail about what I wanted and did exactly what i asked. I was impressed. There were mostly older stylists here but I witnessed several great haircuts while I was there. I would highly recommend.

Kimberly Maxwell I had my 2nd walk-in appointment with Tara, she listens well and does exactly what you ask for and is willing to take the time even if its a little more effort. My hair is very thick and difficult but she has done a great job. Ask for Tara you will be happy you did.

Em I looked around on google to book a hair trim after not having one for a long time… its been nerve wracking to think about having it cut after so many years. I saw this salon and called to ask about getting a hair trim. Lady who answered was off the bat rude over the phone— “So…. Do you want a hair CUT or a hair TRIM? There’s a difference…”… I told her it’s been awhile and I wanted the damage hair assessed and trimmed off. The woman on the phone gave off bad, rude energy and acted like I was wasting her time. It was enough for me to not come in for the appointment the next day— to which the same women called me the next morning (20 mins after said appointment time). Didn’t know what to tell her other than sorry, not going to be there and she then hung up on me. Honestly, thank god I didn’t trust that particular hairdresser with doing my trim and have been happy going elsewhere as I was treated with empathy from the start. Maybe if you talk to customers professionally instead of being condescending, we wouldn’t back out of an appointment and go elsewhere.

Sarah Andrews Not to be dramatic but the ladys at this salon are life savers! Arielle is who i see and she slows the world down and makes sure you get exactly what you want. She genuinely cares and thats the way everyone else who works in the salon conducts themselves. Hair cuts can be hard for me but I dont fear them anymore since finding this salon. They listen they care and they work with you!

Abigail Crandall Sierra did such a wonderful hair cut! I was so nervous to get it cut right, because of my curls. But she talked me through everything and helped bring my vision and curls to life! Imma definitely go back for her to cut my hair next time. It was such a calm experience and truly such a great haircut! I couldn’t have been happier with it.

Elizabeth Ennis Nature Salon and Spa has the most up-to-date skin care tech lovingly administered by the incredible Rachael. With beautiful hair care by Lexi and tip to toe pampering by manicurist Stefani, its a soothing spot for taking care of yourself. A very special place.

Nyeema Lucky-Simpson Had the BEST experience there. Had a bunch of dead hair from perming at a young age and was able to get my hair cut by her and it has been growing healthy ever since. Very grateful for that.

Bought marley style kinky hair and hair jewelry but there was also an assortment of hair care products that Ill probably go back and look through more thoroughly on a different day. Prices are about the same as anywhere else. Support your local (black) businesses!
