1 /5 Nora Cedillo: I made an eye appointment three weeks ago. I went directly to the optometry sign. there were two clerks, I go to the first one and she tells me â you need to get in line and I say for optometry? thereâs no line. she says, âoh thatâs the next windowâ. Sign was above both clerks. This employee was very unfriendly, no âGood Morningâ no welcome to UHCâ nothing ! She seemed unhappy to be there but if you need a job ( many people are unemployed not by choice), just suck it up & represent your health center in a friendly professional manner. FYI: UHC isnât the only game in town.
Signed in & waited. Momâs name is called & I get up so my elderly 89 yr old mom who needs assistance walking can stay seated. I go up and the clerk tells me â your mother is not due for an eye exam until August so you will need to reschedule â I said, â isnât it the departmentâs responsibility to check this prior to the patient coming into the appointment.â She said, â yes it is but we were so short staffed that no one had time to do that yesterdayâ. I said, â that is not an acceptable answerâ. This clinic employs incompetent, lazy, lack of common sense & unprofessional people. I shouldâve read reviews prior to making an appointment. Due to lack of competency at this UHC clinic my mom had to change her morning routine & step outside in the cold weather for what? Nothing! I even took time off work for this!! DO NOT ignore the negative reviews trust me theyâre true. apparently supervisors and managers at this clinic do not care because some of these reviews are old. What happened to their customer service pledge? "At United Health Centers, we are committed to doing everything we can for our patientsâ. Itâs a no brainer that I plan to take mom elsewhere. I hope Justin Preas takes notice. Iâm sure I still have his cell # maybe a call is in order?
