Sima is an absolute genius and if I could Id whisk her back to Nashville with me! She so expertly developed a plan for both cut and color that she knew would fit my style, face shape, lifestyle, and profession and I couldnt be happier. Theres nothing like the confidence that comes from great hair and I am so thankful to have found this gem. I will be back as soon as I can!

5 /5 A Ruse: I was in town visiting my mom, and needed a last minute haircut after I missed my appointment with my regular lady. Thankfully Aundrea was able to squeeze me in on short notice. Haircut and blowout look great! Im very happy with it.

5 /5 Luis Valencia: I rarely write reviews, but I have to share my awesome haircut experience with Sima. Let me start by saying that Im a 27 year old man and moved to Santa Barbara last year. Ive been struggling to find a haircut facility/artist that could cut my hair the way I wanted. I tried a couple of barber shops and salons prior to this one, but was never truly satisfied until I now. Sima was awesome from the moment I stepped through the door. She offered me coffee and listened to my requests while providing feedback. She asked lots of questions and made sure she fully understood what I wanted. As she was cutting my hair, she explained what she was doing and the effects of each cutting tool and technique she was using. After the haircut, we finished up with a shampoo, head massage, and a styling. One of the best haircuts Ive gotten in a long time. I will be making her my exclusive stylist in Santa Barbara. I paid $50 + tip and it was worth every penny.

5 /5 Anchal Sharma: I found this place going through online reviews and I am glad I chose Underground Hair Artists. My stylist was Sima and she was amazing, kind and patient with me. She did a great job both cutting and coloring my hair. She took time consulting and discussing to better understand what I wanted and delivered it. I got a layered haircut and then blue/purple balyage... Defintely recommend this place!

The one on one setting was not awkward at all and she was extremely sweet and inclusive to my boyfriend who tagged along. I moved out of state and missed him so much for a little over 3 years. Just visited SB to primarily get a GOOD and restorative haircut and Michael knocked it out the park as usual. Highly recommend Michael for a good haircut while having great conversation at the same time. Ill miss you until I get back again!

Ive been to at least 10 different hair stylists in the past 3 or so years and have maybe left only one of those appointments satisfied with my hair color. I have thick, black, Asian hair and I get very bright blonde highlights done, which is why its super hard for me to find stylists who satisfy my expectations. He does my hair very quickly (about 2 hours which usually takes other stylists 4-6 hours), and the color is always exactly what I want. Alex is phenomenal at what he does.

Hazelynn Khoo: Sammi was amazing! Super easy to set up an appointment over text. It was my first time ever coloring my hair and she did an awesome job. She made sure she understood my vision before starting. She started by dry cutting my hair with a straight razor to get a feathery look instead of harsh layers. She then did a balayage on my entire head. It was a pretty long process but she was really friendly and we chatted the entire time. She didnt try to force any products on me, but did recommend a few products I could get at the drugstore for upkeep. I would definitely recommend her to anyone for a cut and color!
