Despite having full coverage dental insurance, I have yet to receive any actual treatment for the persistent dental pain I have been experiencing.
Each visit, I am given a new excuse as to why I cannot be treated—whether its that no one is available to perform fillings, root canals, or extractions. This explanation feels disingenuous, as I have witnessed other patients actively receiving dental work during these same visits. Each time, I am sent home without any care or clear instructions—only told to schedule yet another appointment and hope that someone will be able to help.
Orthodontics of Bixby Knolls - Long Beach Jenn Alas: I hadn’t been to the dentist in years and only went in because of an emergency after cutting myself and experiencing a lot of pain. From the moment I walked in, the entire staff treated me like family.
They explained the condition of my teeth thoroughly and without any judgment. They also created a clear, realistic game plan to get me back on track. Despite my credit situation, they were able to help me with financing, which took a huge weight off my shoulders.
The best part? Absolutely no pain! They go out of their way to make sure you’re comfortable. Even during my deep cleaning, I didn’t feel a thing.
I now feel so much better…confident, pain-free, and finally taking care of my smile again. This team is not only professional, but truly kind and supportive.
I highly recommend them to anyone who’s anxious about going to the dentist or hasn’t been in a while. You’ll be so glad you went.

The Dental Office of Lakewood - Lakewood Robyn Cerritos: I’m adding a photo of my yelp review that I did several months ago only because I wish that I would’ve been able to read a review from a person that needed this kind of procedure done before I had it done. Don’t get me wrong. The staff here is amazing, but I don’t think that they are skilled enough to do the type of procedure that I needed. I still cry every time I look at myself in the mirror. I spent so much money to have my two front teeth look like such a disaster. I’ve brought it to the office’s attention and I don’t think that they care. I do know that the last time that I went in, I was told that the doctor was on maternity leave and they just took more x-rays and told me they’d get back with me but I have yet to hear from anyone and it’s been several months.
Pasadena Dental Center - Pasadena Rebecca Standridge: Just had my first visit at the Pasadena Dental Center and am very pleased with my experience. I came in for a cleaning and the dental assistant was very gentle with my x-rays. I thought Dr. Nath was very kind and welcoming, my visit with him was quick but he made sure that I was alright and wanted to answer any questions I had, which I appreciated. Vas gave me the best teeth cleaning of my life, his technique is very gentle, and he has an excellent bedside manner. Im very happy that I chose this office and love it that its only a 4 minute drive from my house!
Rose City Dental Arts - Pasadena Cate Puzo: Rose City is my dental group, which I selected in part because it has a TMJ specialist in its practice. After 2 months of lower jaw pain, I saw Dr. Nash, the specialist, who examined my jaw and mouth, including the bite guards I wear nightly for TMJ, and diagnosed a muscle strain of sorts. I was relieved that it wasnt joint or bone. I agreed to an injection into the jaw muscles causing my pain and even after the local anesthesia wore off a couple hours later, I was pain-free. No ache, no limitation in jaw movement, nothing. And after a month, I only have infrequent and momentary aches. The procedure is not covered by insurance, and I may need another in the future, but I am grateful to Dr. Nash for ridding me of this nagging pain with such a simple and quick treatment. Anyone else suffering from jaw pain should see him at Rose City Dental. Thank you, Dr. Nash.
Smart Dental Care - Pasadena Ned Ferraro: Best dental care I have ever had. Knowledgeable, caring and willing to invest all the time necessary to create the best treatment plan and options available. State of the art diagnostics and a great staff. Goes into every detail of treatment approaches and the follow-up care is excellent. Dr Park and Dr Lee use a whole health approach and spend significant time in professional development to apply the best dental care available.
Western Dental & Orthodontics - Pasadena Susan Ward Roncalli: The staff are all amazing. Dr. Winn was kind and made sure I was comfortable and understood what he was doing throughout my procedure.
My only concern is that the corporate office overbooked the staff so they were stressed because they were behind all morning.
