Sutter Tracy Community Hospital Emergency Department - Tracy (CA)

1 /5 Robert: Absolute worse “emergency” room possible. Stayed in the waiting room for 5 hours. After being in excruciating pain for an hour in the waiting room I left back home to be in pain there for about an hour and a half, only to return to the Emergency room and they actually just called my name to only be triaged. Then got called back for labs, and an EKG, guess what, back to the waiting room in pain. After waiting again for another hour I asked when a bed may become available. The Male nurse sitting in the room to the left of check in l, who was slouched back in his chair almost asleep says “don’t know” back to what he was doing (nothing). Checked in at 7pm- walked out at 11:58 pm in pain. P.S. y’all should take this sign down… Update… after driving to Pleasanton Stanford emergency I was immediately taken care of and was brought in for an emergency gallbladder removal due to the severity and pain level after a CT scan and ultrasound. If you’re not in immediate danger DO NOT go to Tracy Sitter(sutter) health

1 /5 Star Apple: I went to sutter emergency. I have an insurance. Got registered, nurse got my bp and asked what happened then finished my registration. Would have been nice if they mentioned to me upfront how much i have to co-pay on my initial registration not during the final registration. They’ve seen me and had no choice but to pay the unexpected high amount of copay. Also, waiting time is horrible.

4 /5 Kathy Melendez: Although, we were there for almost 7 hours, I was impressed with how polite, helpful and the positive attitude of almost every employee we encountered. I was especially impressed with Marcos the security guard. He was offering ice packs, wheelchairs, whatever a person might need as soon as they walked in the door. The Admin Admitting people were great also. The only downside is once we were brought back to the room, we had at least 6 different nurses, which means we had to tell our situation over and over and over again. Maybe we caught them on a shift change, but overall I was impressed with this Emergency Room.

5 /5 Michael Martinez: I had to visit this ER and was very impressed with the service. The triage nurse was fantastic (I did not catch her name, blonde hair and glasses). She was very comforting, nice, and warm and got me back to a bed quickly. Next, I cannot thank Joe (RN) enough. Incredible bedside manner and very comforting during my stay. Final shout out to the PA on duty, she was great, listening to my concerns and explaining what was going on. 5/5. Thank you all!

1 /5 Liam: Not the best experience. The check-in nurse literally asked the patient if he was from Yuba City, probably because he was wearing a turban, how racist and so unnecessary! The doctor that saw us and his nurse did not have a good attitude; rest of the staff that we encountered while receiving care were good and fairly decent. I didn’t expect the patient experience at a community hospital, especially in Tracy, to be very good, also knowing Sutter Health’s poor reputation, but it was pretty bad. The nurse that first walked in informed us that our medication was ordered and when the main nurse came in, she stated that the medication was never ordered, so we had to wait additional time for no reason and the care was delayed. The doctor had a sour attitude right when he first walked in and when we asked him questions…that’s what you’re there for. Seriously, I know it can be a stressful environment, but do not work in ER if you don’t have patience, passion, empathy and kindness, it’s not the place for you. Some of the staff that I encountered did not seem professional, I would avoid this ER if possible and take one’s insurance elsewhere.
