I was called for an appointment by Open door because I was in emergency for my heart condition. I wasnt able to make it to my appointment however I asked them if they would be willing to make an appointment for me supposedly there was an appointment come to find out they never made one for me like they said they would have. With this place really needs is to record their phone calls. Im tired that my physical needs are not being met at this place theyre being taken lightly. They need to train these people. If you ask for a supervisor they should just transfer you over to a supervisor to speak with them not just hang up on you. I hope things get better at this place. Bad enough we really need good doctors and nurses here in this area. People who actually care about your health not just about the money theyre making.

Mad River Community Hospital - Arcata Rachel: I gave birth to my first child at this MRCH’s birth center and the staff took great care of us the entire duration of our stay. I had multiple complications that required an emergency cesarean birth. I felt all staff near me were attentive and I am sad this birth center is closing. In addition, I have had ultrasounds, X-rays and admission to the emergency room here over the years. There were sometimes long wait times ranging from 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, but the medical system in general is under strain and this has been a growing issue at all medical facilities. If I can, I always prefer to come to this hospital for anything I need done locally.
