5 /5 Rachel: I gave birth to my first child at this MRCH’s birth center and the staff took great care of us the entire duration of our stay. I had multiple complications that required an emergency cesarean birth. I felt all staff near me were attentive and I am sad this birth center is closing. In addition, I have had ultrasounds, X-rays and admission to the emergency room here over the years. There were sometimes long wait times ranging from 45 minutes to 2 1/2 hours, but the medical system in general is under strain and this has been a growing issue at all medical facilities. If I can, I always prefer to come to this hospital for anything I need done locally.

1 /5 Becke Wright: Arrived at the ER at 4am on Mon. 2/24 with pain. They did not listen to me AT ALL. Ran a uti test even though I clearly said multiple times I did not have a uti. Dr comes in my room says I dont have a uti. Im like yes, correct. They decided I could go now. And try taking a bath to help sooth my pains. Ive never been more gaslight by a group of doctors than I was this night. Lady nurse tells me, Im not swollen she doesnt see it. Mind you my typical boney feet are fully swollen with no ankles. I proceeded to see my doctor the next day and guess what everything they gaslight me with, I was correct. After running blood tests, they found my inflammation. I will not ever go back to mad river hospital, ER.

1 /5 Mike Lempinen: Got a surgical referral in Dec 2023, it took until March 2024 to have a surgical consult & X-ray. I lost count how many times I called, left messages or talked to Trish with no response. I have never received such a runaround, and empty promises. Months later, she passed the buck to someone named Melissa. I started leaving messages, and calling her. More runaround. I finally got a new referral in Nov 24 to UCSF. TODAY(Dec 5th, 24), Melissa calls me back LOL. I held my tongue, but understand that these folks have NO compassion, and youre more likely to receive follow up care from a fast food restaurant than these incompetent fools. Avoid at all costs, your condition will get worse before the games are over. SMH...Karma is what they say it is. I hope they find themselves in a situation like they have put me through. Only then might they understand.

1 /5 John Lewis: Im a resource parent and one of my children is really sick. We have been sitting in the waiting room for over 2 hrs. We are currently in the waiting room as my child sleeps on a terribly uncomfortable chair. I suspect Ill be here for a few more hours without being seen.were at 1 patient being taken back every hour. They clearly only have 1 doctor in the emergency room. He must be soooo busy. Or hear me out... they have several er doctors but help 1 patient an hour. I see I see. Will update as I wait. 1 /5 Kim Hoffmeyer: Spent several hours waiting at Mad River Hospital to be seen for a possible allergic reaction to a medication. Finally got a room and chance to see a Dr. When Dr Lui walked into the room my heart sank and I knew I would be sorry for trying Mad River Hospital ER again! He was rude and would not listen to anything is said. When I explained to him what I had been experiencing and who I had talked to previously about my issue he interrupted told me to go back to them because he didnt see anything wrong with me. When I tried to tell him what I had been using for my illness he interrupted me and said "You dont need to tell me I know what it is." My toung was white, swollen and had sores that were very visible. He said he didnt see anything. When I questioned him about his reply he said he could only tell me what he sees and he didnt see anything. He insisted on checking my lungs, heart, and liver then said there youre fine there is nothing wrong with you you can go now. He dismissed everything I tried to say. He should no be practicing medicine. I will never recommend that ER to anyone as long as he is there. I only went there because its close by and it had been such along time since I used that ER that I had forgotten Dr Lui was the ER Dr. Never again!!! Edit 1. Went to my dentist with my sore dry mouth issue. He said my entire mouth was dry and said I needed to have blood work done because my symptoms were related to diabetes and sjogren disease. Sjogren disease is an autoimmune disease.
