I can always describe to him what I would like to have done and he gets it done or comes out with even better results than expected. For my last visit I said I wanted peek-a-boo balayage with mermaid colors, I chose 4 potential colors and this is what we came up with. Definitely recommend, and I will be going back soon for a new color.

1 /5 Sarah Arce: Starting off with, I was refunded my money. The entire amount. I received color and cut. It was one of the worst jobs I have ever had. I made a appointment with Martin for Friday morning. I show up, to be handed off with someone with 4 years experience. She was very nice. But she didn’t come close to giving me what I asked for. I’ve been growing my hair out, my hair was basically virgin. She massacred me. My hair broke off. The color was brass. 6 hours of sitting, no ac, humid weather, and they still couldn’t fix their screw up. Martin did zero to help her. He tried selling me with the idea of how good it looks. It was BAD. Then I said I had to leave. I would come back tomorrow to fix it. Martin left me high and dry the whole weekend. Never called me back to confirm I was coming back to see him. My husband went by twice to get his attention. Sunday we caught this guy cutting hair. Never called us back. So my husband waited for him to give us our money back so I could fix it. BEWARE….the comments about Martin and his unprofessional behavior is true. Now I have to let my hair grow out so I can fix it. I don’t want to damage it more. Posh is ridiculous! And who’s name is Posh??!! Geez should have known from the jump. Beware!

Rachael Planishek: Please avoid this salon unless you want your hair ruined. As a background, I’ve been getting balayages done for 5 years now so I had the blonde base to work with. I showed the stylist the first picture as my inspo pic (which has been the same inspo pic since I started getting balayages) and she quoted me a price of almost 400$. I agreed to the price because it was similar to what I had paid before. I should’ve been alarmed from the beginning when the stylist said she wasn’t going to touch my roots. I always have them do color on my roots 1-2 shades darker than my natural color to create a nice contrast (as seen in the inspo pic as well.) When it came time to blow dry, I noticed that my entire head looked like it was nothing but a dark ashy blonde. When I raised concerns about this, my stylist said that they don’t touch the roots for a balayage and that it would be 85$ for them to do my roots. If I needed a shadow root, she should’ve known from the moment I showed her the inspo pic and should’ve included it in the initial price. She was resistant to getting her manager and only after getting her involved did they finally say it would be free of charge. Then when she was drying my hair off after the shadow root, you could tell it was haphazardly done. There are blocks that look weird right in the front of my face and there’s not melting of the colors so it looks awful. Also my ends are significantly darker than they were when I came in (see the third picture for my prior blonde color and the second picture for what I left with today.) When I raised this concern to my stylist, she just told me that it would lighten when I washed it. I told her when I came in that I was going on vacation in 2 days and was getting my hair done for that. I had no intention of washing my hair prior to vacation because I knew they would be washing it today. But then it didn’t even matter because she left a ton of dye in my hair so the hairs around my neck were stuck together and the dye stained my clothing because I didn’t know it was there (please see fourth picture of what was coming out of my hair before I washed it.) I had to come home and immediately shower. So I paid 400$+ for hair that I will now have to get touched up at another salon. Highly dissatisfied and will definitely not return. I also want to warn others because your money would be better spent somewhere else. If you’re going to go here, just be prepared to have to go somewhere when they mess up your hair.

SO go check her out if you want an awesome haircut from a person who truly loves what she does. Still a 5 STAR! I went to Kassandra, and shes in suite 123 at Phenix Salon, in the Chula Vista mall. I havent gotten my hair done in many yrs because I couldnt find a hairstylist. I liked or felt comfortable with it. Then along came Kassandra, she did an amazing job. I just loved the way my hair turned out she cares about your hair and takes care to make sure your hair is healthy and treated before she even starts the highlight process. SHE also explains everything she will do to your hair, In my case, My hair wasnt ready to take the bleach so she helped me make it ready and I went back for treatments, not once but three times then when she felt it could take the chemicals she did my highlights. I am super happy and will go there again if you live in the San Diego area. And looking for a hairstylist, shes the one who truly cares about her clients and their hair! You wont regret it!!
