I met Alicia two years ago and since my first appointment I knew she is the person I was looking for. Very professional and helpful… now she takes care of my kids’s hair as well. I highly recommend Amore Hair Salón. Plus… the place is beautiful decorated and clean. In my opinion… the best in the Mission San Francisco.

Rodyan Iraheta Drove here from Antioch so my wife could get her hair colored by Colomba and she had confirmed the appointment. She took half a day off for the appointment. We hit traffic and we were 10 minutes late and as soon as she walked in Colomba said oh I cant do it no more rudely she didnt offer to make another appointment or anything. Last time my wife ever goes there. Made us waste gas and her time from work. She had worked on my wifes hair before but never again.

She listens, gives feedback if I want it, but never pushes her ideas on me. I am so grateful for her. Ive let my gray out under her care and my hair looks great when I leave her shop everytime. She is the Hair Mistress!

Lauren Fernandes Maybe I caught Stesha on a bad day, but she was quite judgy towards me and my dead ends during my appointment in January. I explained to her that my last haircut was particularly horrible, which is why it had been so long since Id come into a salon, hence the dead ends. I asked for a trim with an angle cut and face frames (which Id asked for at other salons and gotten with no issue), she asked me if I meant I wanted long bangs. I told Stesha sure, because I was honestly unsure of how to respond to the judgement and attitude I was being met with, and also to try conveying that Im perfectly capable of honoring a professionals opinion on what might work for me. I honestly dont understand why she couldnt just cut my hair the way I initially asked. Stesha cut long bangs on me, and they were big! They are ridiculously choppy (a huge chunk all one length) and awkward. Usually when I get a bad cut its because I asked for layers and they were too short and choppy, which I think anyone whos asked for layers has experienced at least once. In those cases I just have to blow dry and style my hair after washing for months until it grows in and looks nice. This is an entirely different conundrum; even after months these bangs are obviously grown out but still a very different length from the rest of my hair. It sucks because now to get the cut I want, I have to deal with how large these bangs are and its so hard to blend them into the rest of my hair. I was on time for my appointment, perfectly nice and communicative about what I wanted and my fears from past experiences, and she just cut my hair nothing like what I asked for, in a way that doesnt suit me whatsoever. I understand there are different interpretations of what looks good, but maybe thats why the customers preference should be taken more into account. Its their hair and their money after all. Hate to write a bad review for a small business especially given the glowing reviews but Ive literally never been treated this way at a salon before.

Doris Xu I had the best experience at C&K Beauty Salon! This is my first time getting my lashes done here and it won’t be my last. Amy took the time to understand what I wanted and explained how the different lengths can help achieve the style I wanted. It was very relaxing when getting my lashes done. It did take longer than intended (2.5 hrs). But Amy was very meticulous. She made sure every lash was covered and I have a lot of lashes. I ended up really loving how the lashes turned out and will be coming back for fills! Can’t forget to mention that the price is a steal! You also get 20% off as a first time customer!

Tuane Quintella Loved my haircut with John! I have natural wavy hair but it gets heavy and dull when it doesnt have a proper haircut. John understood quickly what I wanted and did a great haircut that brought a lot of life and volume to my curls. I loved it! I also got my nails done by Linh who did a beautiful job and has a delightful personality. Color Block is my go-to salon in the Sunset now :)

Each time they were able to give me exactly what i wanted from the inspo pictures i shared and quality service. Finding a hair stylist who you can trust is hard, but they make it very easy!

Phantazmagoria I could sue this person for ruining my modeling career. Made horrible choices and left me with horrible permanent after effects including an obvious bald spot. Spending $1300 on hair growth injections, weeks of sadness, I have to look at this bald spot every day, and spending lots of $ and DAMAGE and wasted so much time on Olaplex treatments and unsuccessful attempts to remove the color gently, now color correction, to remove the horrid ugly permanent dye which left permanent orange and brown dark stains when I previously had beautiful pure pale yellow healthy hair and I asked for purple and red deposit only semi permanent vibrant colors and NO DAMAGE. I have spent so many days suffering and I hate this person for not taking the time to read my messages or research the basics of preventing damage/keeping strong developer off the scalp when I said I wanted deposit-only color without damage. He didnt think at all nor ask questions. Ruined my life in a 30 minute window

Shila McInnis I visited them for the first time for a major length change and my experience was great! My hair looks so awesome and the vibes was so good. My hair lady asked a lot of questions to get a sense of what kind of cut I wanted, what products I use, and what I need to take the best care of my hair. The cut turned out amazing and my highlights look so good finally someone got it right and I couldnt be happier with it!

Regina Harvey Very happy with Yuri, the coloring and the cut. She took 4 hours because my hair was damaged from the last time I got highlight from another salon. Not only did she do a horrible job on my sister in laws hair but butchered her hair cut and she left crying. I had to take her out of town to fix the problem and pay costing double the price. Beware !!!!

Joel I got a great haircut here, and then I forgot my backpack, two hours after she closed I gave her a call and she was waiting for me to pick up my backpack. Totally recommend this place for a haircut, and if you forget your backpack you might just be in luck. Totally recommend.

Angela Van Gilder WARNING ⚠️ INEXPERIENCED I’ve decided to repost my review because the amount of money I have had to pay to repair my hair is MORE than what I paid for services. In September I came in and told the owner I have fragile hair and only use Wella or Lanza to lift because it doesn’t dry my hair. She assured me her Italian products were just as gentle. Her products FRIED my hair…..now 3 months later no amount of keratin or oil treatments has been able to smooth out the damage or repair it…..I am going to have cut off most of my hair!!! You can see if you look closely the white streaks in my hair!!! This is because for the entire hour she had the product on my hair she did NOT check my hair once to see how it was processing even though she sat 15 feet from the the whole time. So I have streaks of platinum blonde in my hair along with my hair just being totally fried. THE COLOR IS TOTALLY UNEVEN! She DID NOT use a toner. I’ve spent more than the $200 that was refunded to me in an attempt to heal my hair to NO AVAIL! My hair has just continued to fall out……… Don’t risk it folks no one should still be suffering 3 months later from damage like this!!! If you have fragile hair DO NOT COME HERE!!

S Durkin Hands down best haircut I’ve ever had. Connie listened to what look I was going for and we talked about what a haircut should make you feel. The best part- I have curly hair and the grow out has stayed just as fresh as the day she cut it! During my cut she kept me up to date on the newest looks from top fashion, how good the last book she read was and how she finds/selects the gorgeous products in the front. We browsed through the fantastic curated vintage and she styled me in the coolest outfit for pictures. Connie has an amazing eye and iconic taste. You can see it immediately when you walk in and will always find something new to drool over. I left with the perfect hairspray for my type of curly hair and a cut that’s lasted.

One time I came to the salon at 6pm when they were closing the owner Sally was very happy to see me and let me have a haircut I truly appreciate that. She understood my excuse that I didn’t check the closing time. Sally is incredible so talented and professional. She took the time to listen to exactly what I wanted. I left with a cut that exceeded my expectation. What truly stood out was the attention to detail and genuine care throughout the appointment. I can’t recommend this place enough and will definitely be back soon!

Victoria Yau The salon is clean and has a fast turnover, so i appreciate that my appointments always start and end on time. This review is specially for Ethan~ he’s been doing my hair for the last 3+ years and he’s awesome. He has such a positive spirit and genuinely cares about how you feel and want to look walking out of the salon. I have so much hair (thick and long hair) and he somehow always manages to finish on time and leaves me looking polished. He knows my “go-to” blowout style but always welcomes one-off ideas when I have a specific event i need to tailor my look for. Go book a blowout with Ethan and you won’t regret it!

Genève Campbell Posh is a standard salon that’s also a high-traffic blowout bar. I’ve gotten special occasion blowouts here occasionally for years (never with the same stylist twice) but this review is really only about Ethan. He is a wizard. So glad I found him!

Sarah P. I love the fact I can book a blow dry same day and rely on this salon when I need to get something done. It can be hit or miss with the stylist though, sometimes they’re exceptional, other times I found I have to be very specific or I walk out with a style that just isn’t there. Some stylists are on point and others, less so. Their products are great and their prices within the scope of a blow dry salon in SF.
