Emily Byrnes: Being in the hospital is never easy, but my family members have been hospitalized here twice in the last couple of years for orthopedic procedures. The floor they are admitted to is extremely large and busy but the nursing staff are excellent. Will be back. Special thanks to the nurse who moved my father to a nice room with a view to help with his recovery. That meant more than anything, thank you for listening to us. Thank you Scripps !

Gwen Freya: Ive been going here for laser hair removal for a while, and I have to say the experience is quick and well worth it. Im satisfied with my treatment here, and the staff are always nice.

Victor Goularte: When I was admitted to kindred I was barely alive, I can’t say enough good things about this place they took care of me when I couldn’t take care of myself and after a stroke I was not a pleasant person but everyone took such great care of me despite my bad attitude nurses Joe, Kevin, and Lisa were very kind. Cindy at the front desk treated my family like they were her own. Sarah the speech therapist was extremely kind and Cesar the physical therapist was a great guy and got me walking again, Josh the patient advocate was also top notch. Overall to anyone that finds themselves in the position I was in I give this place a ten and they deserve 6 stars ⭐️ ❤️

The ELITE: If you would like to go to a place where nurses and front desk staff judge you and spread negative narratives about you to the other staff so they can judge you just the same then this is the place for you. Which is unfortunate because the doctors seem very helpful. Id rather die slowly than come back up here and be made fun of and treated less than a human being. I wish the best for them and thier patients. They may see this post and laugh but its just a testament to their behavior. SMH
Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego - San Diego
Select Specialty Hospital - San Diego
Trish B: I spent 85 days at Select Specialty Hospital and am certain it was the right decision. I chose Select based on their affiliation with Scripps. While there I was able to access my labs via Scripps’ portal, making it easier to read the results and discuss them with my doctor. In all honesty, I was initially hesitant about my stay as the hospital rooms are a bit outdated: however, that was me judging a book by its cover as the Select staff put my mind at ease. I was welcomed, respected, and thoroughly enjoyed my experiences with staff, from doctors, nurses, physical therapists, contracted dialysis, imaging, and wound care, CNAs, care managers, housekeeping, facilities, kitchen personnel, and the receptionist. (Whew! I think I included everyone.) More specifically, M******e from the kitchen, who personally went room to room to take food orders from patients, was a breeze to work with considering my many diet restrictions. M******e was thoughtful, considerate, dutiful, and interaction with her was a highlight to my day. N*****a with physical therapy was an enthusiastic source of encouragement. While in her care, she cheered me on and stayed positive, both of which are important factors in keeping patients motivated — me especially. The nurses and CNAs made an incredible impact during a long stay such as mine (85 days). Nurse shout out: S**e, A**l, T******d, F***z, A****e, D****l, R**e, M*****a, T****a, R***n, M***o, N*****a, F***i, V***y, S**a, K****y, E****n, B*****k, J****y, I*n, M*a! CNA shout out: Kuya T*m, I**a, G***a, J**n, R**a, A***r, S***y, R****a, R*****a, S*****a! Transitioning into life after discharge hasn’t been seamless in terms of setting up in-home care, but hey, considering all the working pieces, it’s understandable. Would I recommend? Absolutely! 10/10 **** I started out the names because privacy and all that. ****

James Morris: Great medical Care here !!! Had a procedure done here way back in the early 80s but went to the zoo first. The best zoo Ive ever been to inside the US. The zoo was right across the street from the entrance to the Balboa Naval Station Hospital as it was known then I believe. Thats what it said in the basement where my cousin worked in the mail room while he was in the Navy and I was in the Marines.

Lauren Gapinske: Ive had an okay experience with medical staff, but scheduling team, receptionists, and staff responsible for messaging through the app have all been unprofessional. Scheduling every appointment was a headache, with many mistakes made. A receptionist once failed to check me in properly for my appointment, which resulted in me waiting for an hour in the waiting room, only to have to flag down my provider as she was leaving for the day. Ran into billing issues here as well. I dont like leaving negative reviews but this was just such a uniquely bad experience.
Psychiatric Hospital of San Diego County - San Diego
Psychiatric Hospital of San Diego County
Cs Cat: How can you take care of patients if you treat staff so poorly? The place is so bad, no one talks to the patients, staff dont talk to staff, and if you are white, you will be treated like a second class citizen, as the only people who matter are the people who run the place: Filipinos. They dont want white people working there so they can get max overtime. They are bullies, they bullied me, and the two white RNs sat in the hall and stared at their computer and never talked. They were invisible. This place is a nightmare for staff and parients. The County only has career development for many minority groups and Caucasians dont have any club they can belong to. It is the most openly racist place I have ever been to outside of the deep South.

Will N.: I had a really bad pain in my lower back and went to the Urgent care last year in August around 8pm. After some wait I went in to the room and there was a nurse named Ashley (forgot her last name) who was wearing a mask with very bad altitude, she was typing behind the laptop while asking me questions. One of the questions wasnt clear to me because she was wearing a mask so I asked her to repeat and she just yelled at me with that question with very bad altitude. Ive never seen a nurse that unprofessional. Its not because she tried to speak up its like she didnt want me as a patient. I tried to waited for a survey to make the clinic aware of such a bad apple in it but the survey didnt have this kind of question.

George Ohnesorgen: Just wanted to say that as one not wanting to visit a hospital often, it was nice knowing (and being part of)!Kaiser. Their staff was at all times polite, courteous, knowledgeable and professional in every way. All needs were met and sometimes done prior to me asking for assistance from doctors to nurses, orderlies and cleaning staff. Great facilities as well.
