5 /5 George Ohnesorgen: Just wanted to say that as one not wanting to visit a hospital often, it was nice knowing (and being part of)!Kaiser. Their staff was at all times polite, courteous, knowledgeable and professional in every way. All needs were met and sometimes done prior to me asking for assistance from doctors to nurses, orderlies and cleaning staff. Great facilities as well.

5 /5 Jamie Martinez: Everyone is absolutely amazing at this hospital. We had to take my 1 yr old son into the emergency room- 1/15/25. From the moment we got there, the ER tech was absolutely warming and sweet to my son. He was so courteous. The RN that registered us, was so professional and caring towards him. She was great. When we went back, the RN, MD, and ultrasound tech were all exceptionally kind, patient, and, out of this world, caring! I’m so grateful for them and all they did to make us feel at home. Thank you from the bottom of my/our heart(s). It means so much to us.

1 /5 Brianna Johnson: I had a very miserable experience at the Zion ER center Monday-Wednesday. I had been dealing with kidney stones and was dealing with so much frustration during my visit. One of the top ones being that the lady who did my IV must’ve done something wrong because when she inserted it, it felt like the worst pain ever and I don’t usually experience pain or issues getting one inserted. It felt wildly painful and uncomfortable having it in my arm during my time there. It hurt to move it all and when I came home from the ER yesterday afternoon, there was so much blood under the swap and wrap around bandage they give you. I’ve never had that happen before and my arm was bruised. 1. Nurses gave us the wrong information on what I did/didn’t have before an actual doctor could come in and give us the accurate information & diagnosis 2. The lady pushing my bed from testing room to testing room on Monday had my IV string by the roller at the bottom of my bed and another nurse had to tell her to stop because it was going to pull out my IV if she didn’t fix it. 3. One nurse told me I could eat and as I was about to, the other one comes in and tells me no and grabs the juice out of my hand. 4. Couldn’t eat and was starving until I got answers from urology which, urology took up until the next day to show up and would come in hours apart from visiting my room. 5. Ultrasound lady was so rude to me and wasn’t patient or caring at all. Which, if you’re in that field.. you NEED to be so suck it up.

2 /5 Claudia HLA: I usually have good experiences with Kaiser, but last night was horrible. I was advised to go to the nearest ER by the nurses advice line because of possible complications from my surgery that I had that same day! After checking in and waiting over an hour, I asked the ED tech if there any recliner chairs or anywhere I can lean back because my incisions were getting pinched from sitting on those chairs in the waiting room. He told me no, and offered a heat pack. I then asked how much longer I had to wait since I was in so much pain and my pain pills were wearing off. He told me people usually wait two hours or more. I started to get emotional and told him I will be stepping outside for some fresh air. As I was walking near the security check, he said “ oh we got a runner” in front of everyone. He ran after me and said if I am leaving they’ll need to remove my IV. I’ve never been so humiliated. I told him while crying that I’m not leaving and just need to be outside. After waiting another hour, fresh from surgery, in pain. I went to look for a member service representative and she was nice enough to help me file a grievance report. I will never come back to this hospital specifically.

Martin Lucero: I have been Dr. Dorins patient for 2 years but that ends today because of the incompetence of the front office staff... 3 months ago she told me i needed a crown. I have primary and secondary insurance and the office staff claimed that i was uninsured, claimed they fixed this, then told me again i am uninsured. Then on the phone i was told this was fixed and the crown authorization was submitted... it wasnt. Finally Dr. Dorin somewhat straightened it out but they never call me back, never return calls, never answer their phones... i called Delta myself today, the claim was denied because they didnt submit the dentists name, license number and delta dental ID. Im done. 3 months waiting on front office staffs incompetence is long enough. If you have medi- call, youre probably ok, but private insurance? Id go elsewhere.

kadie durocher: i’ve had nothing but positive experiences at Northpark. The receptionist and those that are booking the appointments are friendly, engaged and so helpful. They really take their time to go the extra mile and answer questions, and if they can’t help you they refer you to someone that can, provide phone numbers or connect you directly. My personal primary care, Lori Lapina was beyond amazing! I truly feel that she saved my life. I appreciated that she truly listened to me, Heard what I have to say and directed me to get the help that I needed. I’m very grateful that I have access to this community of healthcare professionals.

Michael Aviles: UCSD Health is absolutely terrible. Lets see. To keep the review short, Ill limit my bad experiences to 3 areas. 1) If you need medical care in any kind of hurry, good luck. From primary care, to travel clinics, to even specialist visits, the wait times are literally months to half a year. Absolutely ridiculous. 2) It definitely feels like a training/learning environment. I had to get a biopsy done and it took two young PAs over an hour to get a non-optimal sample. The procedure should have taken 15 minutes. But instead I got 20+ tiny holes stabbed into my bones on both sides of my body (was only supposed to be one side) because they have incompetent kids straight out of school practicing on patients. Sucks. 3) Trying to get a hold of someone is a nightmare. Generally the messaging is ok, but trying to call in requires so many transfers and runarounds that a lot of the time I just give up. When I switched from Kaiser, I thought I was upgrading to a more premium provider. Boy was I wrong. Next open enrollment Im sprinting back to Kaiser. UCSD is the worst. Avoid if you can!

carla jay: I came here for a walk-in appointment, it was the only place that was open after 5pm. Which I love! This location is local to me and easy to find. I had a great experience from the time I arrived til I left. Mona, the front desk coordinator was awesome. Very friendly and kind. Michael, the tester, was laid back, informative, personal yet professional. He made me feel very comfortable throughout my visit. Jenni, I think she was the medical assistant or nurse, she was nice too. Dr. Burk was the bomb! Very kind, patient, prompt and reassuring. Ezra in phlebotomy, was also wonderful. I told him my veins are small and like to roll, so I can be a hard draw, but he got it on the first try! The office wasnt busy, it was clean throughout, I was able to be seen pretty much right away. I had a very pleasant experience and I would definitely recommend and come here again. Thank you Mona, Michael, Jenni, Dr. Burk and Ezra!!

Teresa Hogan: Horrible, horrible service! Too bad you cant rate with zero stars. Their computer system meltdown that happened months ago is just an excuse for terrible customer service. If you call they say you wont get a call back for 5-7 business days. I called last week and still nothing! Of course you can alway drop by the office to talk to the guy sitting at the table who hands a note to a nurse in the back. Which I have done. Its been months since the meltdown and you would think they could figure out a better system--or at least call us back like they say they will. I am still waiting for an approval on a prescription and a referal to a specialist Ive been seeing for 6 years and nothing. I called today, waited on hold for twenty minutes to talk to the monotone message taker--who couldnt care less if I got the treatment I needed--and got her short and annoyed-sounding robotic response that if I cant wait another 5-7 business days for a referral Ill have to drive up to Poway (I live in San Diego) and talk to whoever is sitting at the table today. I love my primary care doctor, Dure-Smith, who Ive been with for 8 years, but Im done! If you have chronic issues steer clear.

C Choisy: DO NOT COME TO THIS PLACE. WORST EMERGENCY ROOM EVER. The wait time is 5 hours and up. Is that really considered a emergency room??? Also a lot of homeless and crackheads are here and they get really loud and violent. In the 7 hours of waiting, I NEVER saw them clean the WAITING ROOM. The seats look dirty and stained and the front desk lady over here laughing with the coworkers while a lot of people are waiting in pain. How professional

I set up an appointment for a tb test, vaccination, and physical for work. they wouldnt fill out the documentation my work needed without another appointment and didnt have a record of the requested TB test or vaccine. I wasted over an hour and got none of the things I needed. They automatically set up another appointment that was way outside of the time limit I had for work

Ashley Arnold: If you can go anywhere else for care, do. Avoid this urgent care at all cost. Extremely rude receptionists and poor training when it comes to insurance handling. Was sent to this facility from sharp reece as my group had changed, no problem. Was greeted with a snarl and awful attitude by the older receptionist with brown short hair. Explained why I am here, and was told immediately “well your card says this so we can’t see you here”. Confused I asked if it was possible to call the hospital I was just at to see where the disconnect was. She rolled her eyes, huffed and said “and what do you want me to talk about” Turns out, the other gal just didn’t read the insurance card correctly and that they did take my insurance. Decided to go elsewhere. If that is the type of treatment the front desk gives, I don’t want to find what it’s like from the doctors. Do better. People go to your facility because they are seeking help.

Hilary Tshirlig: Shoutout to Balboa ER staff, doctors and Corpsman. They all really took great care of me when I was very sick with COVID and also when I got injured on the job at work. They made sure everything was documented in my medical record as requested. Only downside is of course you will have to wait awhile in the waiting room as they are busy but they took great care of me and listened to me. They’ve been taking good care of me since I was a Seaman Recruit. Thank you all very much.

Blake Brown: Visited the Perlman clinic for the first time. I was very surprised to see the availability of a doctor on a Sunday and scheduled an appointment with Dr. Victor Lin the day before. I was extremely happy with the care from intake until the end with the phlebotomist. Special praise for Dr. Lin, who was thorough, patient, and understanding during our visit. He offered clear and supportive advice and guidance and 100% agree with his course of treatment. I feel fortunate to have Dr. Lin as my primary doctor.
