1 /5 carrie lewis: The front desk lacks communication skill and had made mistakes multiple times !! The first time I spoke with them I told them I was a new patient needing to be transferred from Visalia obgyn . They got my contact information down and told me that they would call me as soon as possible and I understood that they were pretty booked and busy because they were having so many transfer patients from Visalia OB/GYN. I let two weeks go by and I still had not received a call. So I called them and asked them with an update on my referral and they said that when they gave my information to the front desk they never put my contact information down in the computer so they had no way to contact me . I let it slide because mistakes happen .
when I had called about the follow up on my referral, they had decided to go ahead and schedule me an appointment for December 6. I called them December 5 and told them that they never sent me the link to the papers I was supposed to fill out prior to my appointment and they told me that my appointment was canceled because whoever I was supposed to see, had an emergency come up. and I asked them Why did i not get informed this information until now ? They told me that for whatever reason they didn’t put in my phone number, email or even an address in their system even though when I called about my follow up on the referral, they asked me for my number about four times just to make sure it was put in the system this time .
When I was on the phone with them this time they rescheduled my appointment for December 12 And when I was on the phone with them, I asked them for the address of the location and the day of my appointment. I drove to the address they gave me and it was a completely different address. I was eight minutes away from their actual location so when I realize this, I looked it up and was very late to my appointment, but fortunately they still seen me because I told them that they gave me the wrong Address. But since I was so late, they see me right away and didn’t take my ID and insurance card before I seen Someone to go over my medical records and when I was done with my appointment, I just left. No one had informed me that I needed to go to the front desk again and give them my information because It had totally Slipped my mind They called me an hour later to tell me that they forgot to get my insurance And ID information when they called, I was driving and didn’t have my insurance card on me so I asked them if they could look it up by my Social Security number They told me they weren’t sure but they would try and if it didn’t work, they would call me Back, Well, apparently, after I gave them my Social Security information, they couldn’t find my insurance and they never called me back And when I went to my appointment today They pretty much blame me that it was my fault that I didn’t call them back because they told me I was
supposed to call them back but over the phone. She told me that she Would call me back and then they had to inform me that they wouldn’t see me Because They don’t take HMO which they never told me before I asked them When I called about a referral if they take Blue Shield key medical And they told me yes, but Never told me they don’t take HMO .
I’m sure the actual doctor and obstetricians are great. I can’t really speak on that part because I haven’t actually seen a doctor there but as far as their front desk or whoever is on the phone to help you with setting up your information and appointments are just absolutely terrible.
