05-2025 MP Nail in Top 21 Reviews Nail and Spa Richmond, CA new updateDiamond Nails lounge - Concord Finley: I have no words. Everything else is fine but the bow looks like the chewy part of steak that I spit out onto my plate. Please save your money and go somewhere.
TJ Salon & Nail Spa - Concord L D: Good nail salon. I will back!! Very nice ladies working there and my nails are beautiful! I requested a spiderweb for Halloween and she did it! Thank you so much!!
Nails For You - Concord Shadowpath: Average experience though a bit pricey - i walked in sans appointment and was seated right away - yay! I got offered no special beverages as some VIPs whoāve reviewed.
Service was fine, waited a bit too long at the beginning and at the end they abandoned me to figure it out on my own, then started cleaning all around me as if I was a piece of the furniture.
The abandonment typically happens at nail places though they usually put you under a dryer or say ā15 minutesā or give you some sort of clue as to the next step⦠sooo it was conveniently located to a gym I was at which is why I went, will I returnā¦nope. Nails For Someone Else.
P K Nails - Concord Wendy: Love PK! Larry is my go-to for the best manicures but all the staff is wonderful. Friendly and always accommodating with scheduling appointments. I highly recommend! Thank you Larry, Lina, Bebe, Louie, Peter and Kay!
Ds House Nails - Pleasant Hill RAMIREZ CARMEN (CARMENCITA): I came in last minute and I was able to get gel manicure and pedicure. They were so gentle and even answered my questions about the gel x difference. The vibes were very monochromatic and glamorous. The lotion the used smelled really good. The playlist had me singing throughout the time I was here. The customer service was on point! They greeted me, the check in process was easy. I highly recommend them.
Queens Nails & Spa - Concord Brittani Atkinson: I really hate to write a negative review for any small business. But this was pretty bad so I feel I should let people know of my experience at this nail salon.
Starting with the good: The 2 stars were earned because the gel pedicure I got here a week ago was great. It was so great, I decided to book an appointment to get my dip manicure done there too. Big mistake. The woman who did my manicure was careless and rough. She cut 2 of my nail beds and made them bleed. These pictures were taken ONE DAY after I got the manicure and as you can see, one of the nails still has dried blood on it (still hurts, too!) and two of the nails are already chipped. Probably because they were using a gel UV light to try and cure the dip ???!!! which I said something about right away, as my nails were extremely hot in the UV light. Le claimed that thats how they do dip powder manicures there...and that using the UV light makes it last longer......Obviously not. While their prices might be reasonable, there is nothing reasonable about charging the customer full price despite being carelessly injured by one of your nail techs. Needless to say I wont be going back here.
Long Nail Spa - Concord Kaky: Called same day and Mimi was able to fit me in right away. I asked for Disney themed nails and Mimi did an amazing job. Will definitely be back.
Rubys Nail Spa - Concord Alex Kelly: Good, quick, affordable pedicures and leg massage. Very happy with the kind staff and good service.
Lily Nail Salon - Pleasant Hill Maria Boukhval: First Visit Review: Professional Assessment
I recently visited this salon for the first time and would like to share my honest impressions. While I have high standards due to my European hospitality education, I aim to provide a balanced and fair review.
The salon benefits from a positive atmosphere largely due to Lilys energy and its convenient location. However, the facility itself is quite small, and although it offers multiple services, the equipment and systems seem outdated given the prices charged. Additionally, the option to pay with cash only is inconvenient for customers.
Here is a detailed summary based on a 10-point scale:
1. Quality of Service: 6/10
- Pedicure Deluxe Gel: $75
- The final look of my pedicure was good, and I appreciated Lilyās thoroughness in cleaning the nails. However, she seemed to be in a hurry, which affected the overall experience. I hope the results last at least a month.
2. Cleanliness and Hygiene: 5/10
- The salon appeared clean, but the chairs were old and uncomfortable. Having to use the same chair for both pedicure and manicure was not ideal, especially for someone with high standards in hospitality and comfort.
3. Professionalism of Staff: 8/10
- The staff are skilled, although their English proficiency is limited. The salon has an old-fashioned feel and could benefit from modernization.
4. Range of Services: 7/10
- The salon offers around 10 types of services with additional charges for extras. However, the service menu is poorly presented, printed on white paper and hung on the wall, which detracts from the overall professionalism.
5. Atmosphere: 6/10
- The atmosphere is better than other similar salons as there is less chatter. However, the space is small and shared with a hairdresser, making it rather loud without any music or TV to enhance the environment.
6. Price: 3/10
- The pricing is at or above market level with no special rates, discounts, or incentives for new customers. The deluxe pedicure with gel, including wax, salt water, hot stones, and a massage, costs $75. While this price is reasonable, it is not justified by the salonās current standards. A manicure gel costs $32, and adding a flower design on one finger per hand costs an additional $10, which is quite expensive.
7. Appointment Availability: 9/10
- I was able to get an appointment for the day and time I wanted by calling the salon directly. However, there is no online booking system or website for reservations.
Overall Rating: 6/10
Conclusion:
Will I return? Most likely not. I look forward to a time when technological advancements can make salon services more enjoyable and relaxing, while also hoping for a more present and relaxed human interaction in the future.
