5 /5 Alexandria D: I recently moved to SD and needed a medical provider to maintain prescriptions & establish care with. This clinic got me in in under 2 weeks and they were very understanding and accommodating. Dr. Hacholski was beyond fantastic. He provided me what I believe was the most thorough and comprehensive doctor appt I’ve ever had. I felt like he asked lots of questions, listened to all of my concerns and made sure I felt heard. He addressed a lot of issues I’ve had going on for quite some time but that have just gone somewhat ignored until now. I came in for some refills & a basic physical and left with reassurance and confidence knowing my health is in good hands. Everyone from the front desk secretary, the MA, and the doctor were all very kind. I have literally never left a review for my healthcare before, but acknowledging their excellence felt necessary!

5 /5 Grant Charles “Chuck”: Ive been going to this Family Health Center for over a year-and-a-half. I will go nowhere else. At times Ive have taken two buses and a trolley to get to there and did it gladly! The front office, the nurses aides, and even the blood lady are awesome here. I have never had a unreasonable wait time here. And Ive shown up more than once without an appointment. These some of the contributing reasons for my reluctance and delay in reviewing my City College Family Health Center. Why ruin a good thing by spreading the word. My only quote disappointment is that when Im having my blood drawn they dont stock the Minion Band-Aids, just Looney Toons. One must solgier on. But for me the real standout here at this Family Health Center is Physicians Assistant Scott Schellie (PA-C)!!! In my 53+ years of seeing doctors in the ER, by appointment, and on the field, he is one of the best there is! This is quite a statement even for me, but I believe that Mr. Schellie has true concern for my wellbeing. That being said, this in my opinion goes a long way with a patient when youre sick and or in pain. He has always taken the time to answer my questions and to explain anything I have a concern with and dont fully understand. Maybe not so unusual, but he does it without being condescending or starting the "your going beyond your time slot and his patience" sideways shuffle towards the door. Its that youre taking up too much of my time tension that can and does fill the air in most medical offices and hospital ERs. Thanks again Family Health Center at City College. You are the best! 1 /5 Mark Wahner: Went to get STD test for general health purposes and peace of mind. Could not get a straight answer from the woman at the desk to save my life. I finally told the woman Id go somewhere else. Do they do testing? When? How much does it cost? What do they test for? I can sum up San Diego Family Health Services in a word WORTHLESS and the people working there in two INCOMPETENT and RUDE. They are a waste of tax payer money and retail space.

1 /5 Crystal Estrada: If I could I would give this clinic NEGATIVE 5 stars!!! Took my day off work to see the doctor for them to tell me the doctor could not see me! I had an appointment at 9:30 check in time is at 9:15 I called them to tell them I would be there at 9:30 they said thats fine as long as I got there I 9:30! I get there its 9:31 and the girl at the front desk tells me they would have to see me as a walk in, so I agreed okay. Anyways I get in the room after the nurse told me I doc would be in shortly, the guy nurse comes in the room to tell me he had bad news and hes just the messenger, he told me they would not be able to attend me because I was late! What kind of circus are they running here!? Dont waste your time people! They treat you as if your health doesnt matter and waste your time!! Very UNPROFESSIONAL, I dont care if youre a low income clinic, learn to treat everybody with respect and at least act like you care!

3 /5 L C: No parking, good direction to facility. Google maps - bad listing in relation to street entrance. Front desk staff zero compassion that I have a foot injury so cant be searching around for parking. But then, oh, shes 7 min late for appointment. Refused to call parking staff just to allow my appointment parking! Come on!

k gupta: Very poor triage nurses and scheduling team. I have care established at the clinic, and I have been trying to get appointments since last one month, but every time they say they don’t have appointment with any provider for next 2 weeks and every time they try to send me to the urgent care. When I finally had the appointment scheduled for today, they cancelled last minute telling me that the provider is not available. Very poor customer service, and scheduling a simple appointment has been a nightmare.

He is an excellent diagnostician, makes superb referrals to specialists, follows up with me, and is readily available to address medical concerns or questions. He communicates effectively. Jade: Id definitely would say its alright. I had gone here about 2 times for attempt and I would say its not that bad. Both times I stayed for about 24 hrs so not too long but those both times were horribly boring and though you were given books and coloring books not being able to move around and go out was terrible. Also considering my social anxiety having to ask for paper towels and small things all the time was a little scary for me. I did get free food which is nice. The first time was terrifying. I basically cried myself to sleep. Having all those people watch me was scary but I mean they did keep me safe so ig thats all that matters. I just wish people there would introduce themselves even if they switch shifts and I may not be able to see them again I think that would have made me more comfortable. Also I wish the rooms were not like in an office setting because idk it was just weird for me to wake up to rustling of paper and typing.

Sha Me: I am a frequent flyer at this urgent care due to my work schedule. I have never had a problem at this urgent care. I am always treated with respect & leave satisfied with getting what I need. Ive also almost always taken my kids here, sometimes to confirm broken bones, etc. We all have always been taken very good care of by all the staff & providers. This location is convenient to me & I am glad they are so close to me.

Mari Tesch: Scripps Mercy Labor and Delivery: I cannot sing my praises loud enough for this place! From the moment I came in to get my emergency induction, to when I gave birth, to when I came back later in the week due to some blood pressure complications, the staff here were INCREDIBLE! My Nurses around the clock were Angels, my CNAs and MAs were angels, and the Doctors were amazing! They treated my husband and I and our daughter like family. I was so nervous to not only give birth (FTM) but also to be a first time patient at a hospital in my life! (Never have been in the hospital), but everyone here made sure I was comfortable and made sure I knew I could call them for anything. I had the best birthing experience and it was everything I had hoped for coming in. Thank you so much to everyone there for your care and hospitality❤️

Jesika Scott: Terrible place, no parking, long wait times, predatory practices. Don’t recommend at all. Workers illegally sold my emergency contact to a debt collector to collect a false debt they say I owe for a window that broke when I closed the door to the shop. This is after police told them it’s not a criminal act and they wouldn’t pursue me because I was using the door not vandalizing anything. Obviously that is a civil suit if they really do think i’m responsible, which I don’t believe I am at fault for a flimsy window I didn’t purposely break, it’s not like I punched a hole through it I used the door as designed and it broke because they have heavy things hanging on the outside of the window that weren’t properly attached so they swung when the door closed. But because they know they wouldn’t win a civil suit they decided to make a false account collections claim. They put a charge on my medical account for a broken window that the police told them i’m not responsible for. Then had a best collector call my retired father in another state to try to collect the debt. Just imagine the type of person who uses your emergency contact to collect a dang they made up and hope you pay. Not to mention the pushing of additional services and tests and appts you don’t need. The whole staff should be ashamed of themselves to have broken an oath to protect patients, instead they are thugs bullying me with my own emergency contact information. https://yelp.to/6_w7n8CZz9

Koa Mana: I have been in San Diego for 35 years and have had only 2 primary MD’s. The last one has retired and finding a new doctor to get involved in a genuine way in your life is a really difficult process. I have been very fortunate and grateful a colleague referred to Anthony and Danielle Fam MD’s and their practice in San Diego. Dr. Fam has taken the few medications I use in a new direction, reduced them and I have already lost weight and have more energy in just 3 months. Being able to contact Dr. Fam and get a quick response, refill or appointment within in a day (or sooner) is a healthcare benefit so great that it can’t be measured or overstated. Both Dr. Anthony and Dr. Danielle are very friendly and have a great "bedside manner" taking plenty of personal time to review and answer questions and it is never a rushed or pressured appointment. I am grateful to be under their care and practice and can highly recommend them.

Travis Pluss: Waste of time. The STD testing may be free, but my time is valuable too. Takes up to 2 hour wait just to receive the testing kit so that I can take my own test just to give to the lab. My first test here also had an IT glitch for the results and had to get a verbal with no fix to the proof of test result. 2 stars because at least the staff are super nice.
