4 /5 Dee P: Nice, very clean park. Perfect for walking around the block. Theres playground for the kids to slide. And if youre into tennis, theres a court you can play to.. quite neighborhood.
5 /5 Daniel Vizzo: I love this Park. Its nice and quiet and right across the street from my girlfriend house literally. Love that it has a nice full court basketball court, and a tennis court engaged inside a high chain link fence around all 4 sides of the court to contain loose balls from having to chase them down. They have a nice decent playground for young children to play on plus a clean public restroom for both male and females thats cleaner than most public park restrooms in this city that Ive ever seen.
4 /5 Tracy Shepherd: I went to the dog park down the street but it was still closed for reseeding so we ended up here. Great park for children but not for dogs, at least not large ones anyways, lol. I was dog sitting a Staffordshire Pit Bull (Sp?) & I have a small Jack Russel/Chihuahua mixed. My guy was fine but Simba, the pit, had so much energy I had a very hard time keeping him from literally pulling me over, lol. Certainly wont be watching him again for awhile, hes a great dog but too big & muscular for me. Bottom line is its a great park for the kids, nice playground, and a block long so lots of room to walk also. There are benches to sit on but dont remember BBQ grills. If you have children or like to walk this is the place to go.
4 /5 Juanita M: Nice park. The bathrooms are ugly though. My only complaint is the daily gardeners are so rude here. They’ll cut grass with weed whackers right next to you as if you’re not there.
4 /5 Grace lopez: Attended a birthday party there and loved everything about the park the BBQ area benches were clean no graffiti or leftover food stuck on them. The one thing both myself and my husband were extremely disappointed in were the restrooms they were not kept up or taken care of the night before and definitely not cleaned the morning of the party nor did Parks & Rec. Pass by the 7 hours I was there to check on the park and the restrooms. That was my only issue other than that great place to have an event .

Ethel n Robert Palacios: There is a city ordinance no dogs allowed. For people who have cynophobia this is great! There arent many places left to go where we can be safe... The sand is soft, and there are volley ball courts, a pier and plenty of parking.

bOnBoNeSoCaL YaKyBlOoDliNe: Nice park. But the timer for irrigation goes off when me and other neighbors are running on the track. It would be nice if the park attendance could set it for midnight. Also the track for running is well taken care of. But the is a big hole that needs to be fix. I have tripped many times on that one spot. It would be nice if they could fix it before some old folk fall because of that section.

Mario Marik: Smaller museum worth visiting if you are in the area, Mullens, Seabees and Commemorative Air Force are nearby if you need more incentive. Make sure however, that you check the schedule, and dont go when there is an event there and check the hours of course. I thought I would go to a model hobby event there then spend some time looking at the real cars. BIG mistake, as they used the walkways to put the hobby show and blocked access to the cars. While it is nice for the club to be able to put on the show there, I was expecting a hall for this, especially since they reached out through the national chapter of the hobby event. Instead there was limited space for the vendors and model judging event. So neither really fulfilled my expectations, though I am glad I went, the model trains were really nice. I might go there again, but who knows when that will be. This was my first trip to LA in some decades.

Rico Babies: Absolutely terrible park. Very UNSAFE and DANGEROUS. Park it not closed off still accessible for children to get hurt. Some parts are boarded while others are open waiting for a child to fall. Paint is rusted and metal is sticking out!!! Do better oxnard.

Dee P: Nice little park to take an afternoon walk or whatever time of the day. You can throw a picnic mat to lay around. But no play area like swing and slide for kids. Still still child friendly park.

Makar Egle (eglectic): One of my new favorite places! Free to enter and lots to see and do. It seems like there are several hiking trails. This place also has specialty gardens as well as a bird habitat and butterfly garden. The children’s garden is only open Sunday mornings, but the rest of the grounds is always there for you to explore. Keep in mind, the hills are relatively steep, so the hikes could be moderately challenging for some. Another cool things is that a lot of the plants are labeled, plus there are plaques with literacy and activity suggestions for kids.
