5 /5 Maria Filsinger Interrante: Update to the original review 2 years later: in addition to the wonderful things below, I am astounded at how beautifully the cuts grow out - due to my schedule (and budget) I’m not able to get my hair cut as frequently as I would like, and 13 months after my last cut the shape still looks beautiful grown out, which is such a testament to the skill of their stylists. Have also recommended many friends to the salon over the years and all have had rave reviews! What a gift to have this place. Couldn’t recommend this place more highly! Finally made the decision to get my (2C) hair cut at a place that specializes in curly hair and am so, so happy with every part of the process. My stylist Nelly was incredible, she asked about my goals and went above and beyond with a cut that both addressed the concerns I had AND brought out a tremendous amount of natural curl that had been weighed down. Her attention to detail and meticulousness throughout the cut was exceptional. Sandra, the owner, was also in the salon and along with Nelly offered really helpful, science-based hair care and product tips. Won’t be getting my hair cut anywhere else as long as I live in the area and so happy I found this place!!

5 /5 Avanta G: Ive now been to Sophia for hair cuts 3 times, and I cant imagine going anywhere else. Ive always hated how frizzy my hair is, and felt like I needed to weigh it down with oils to get anywhere. Other curly salons also only recommend their own products, and as Im sensitive to fragrance, Im unable to use any of them :( Sophia has spent hours now giving me great advice, and going beyond the call of duty by making sure that she only sticks to non-fragranced products! My hair feels completely transformed, and my curls are so bouncy, even 6+ months after a cut. Even my scalp health has been improved with the advice Sophia gave! I especially am very nervous with haircuts as Ive had some very bad experiences in the past with family and my hair. Having Sophia take the time to reassure me, and to help me explore styles in a way Ive never been allowed to, has been wonderful. Thank you so much, Sophia!!

5 /5 Karla Alvarez: Talented stylists, among the limited places that understand curly/kinky/wavy hair and the types of cuts and products needed to care for it properly. They manage both Innersense and DevaCurl products. I am curly 3b who has grown very particular about who I trust my curls with. This team has various tiers based on experience and price points. Edellyn particularly has extensive knowledge.
