1 /5 Rustam O: I had to wait three months for a new patient appointment with Dr. Christopher H. Shin. During my visit, I noticed that he spent more time typing on his keyboard than actually engaging in a conversation to understand my health concerns. He seemed overwhelmed, rushing between patients, yet still accepting new ones.
Dr. Shin did not take a proactive approach to diagnosing my condition. Instead of investigating the root cause, he appeared focused on just completing the visit. He was willing to prescribe serious medications based solely on a brief verbal discussion, without deeper evaluation or considering the patient’s age.
When my insurance denied a requested service, there was no follow-up effort to appeal or reassess the necessity of the diagnostic. Additionally, communication with this office is extremely difficult—messages go unanswered for over a week, and phone calls result in 30-minute hold times with no guarantee of speaking to the doctor.
After everything I went through, Dr. Shin ultimately recommended that I find another primary care physician. To me, this felt like a scam—after months of waiting and a frustrating experience, I was simply told to go elsewhere.
Overall, my experience was disappointing, and I would not recommend this practice to those seeking thorough and attentive medical care.
