La Connessa - San Francisco (CA)

2 /5 cantik: Beautiful ambiance but disappointing food quality for the price point. La Connessa excels in atmosphere and decor - perfect for impressing a date with the setting. However, the food and service dont match the upscale presentation. Eggplant Caponata ($18): Small portion, average taste Halibut Carpaccio ($24): Bland and didnt taste fresh Agnolotti del plin ($32): Decent dish but overpriced for portion size Bodega Bay Rock Cod ($38): Most disappointing - bland, poorly presented fried fish Service: Server was inattentive and slow to return for our order. Bottom Line: Great for drinks and atmosphere, but the food quality doesnt justify the premium pricing. Consider coming for cocktails only.

5 /5 Katelyn Hernandez: I meant to do this earlier but ya. We when here on December 16th. The place was so beautiful with the lights and beautiful bar. The host (pink hair lady) was really nice and gave us the best table the place. Waiter ( Eugene I think?) was super helpful and friendly. Gave us great suggestions on what to eat and drink. The espresso martini was fantastic! Everything from the bar and kitchen was delicious! It was a special night for my mom and me to thank you for making it even better! Definitely coming back

3 /5 Neesh Shah: My wife and I wanted to try something outside our neighborhood and were big on Italian so we made a reservation on a Saturday night. I think the best thing is the vibe and the look of the restaurant. When the sunlight goes down, the inside has a really comfy and warm feel. It reminded me of some great places in Chicago (where were from originally). The service was also good. Our server knew her stuff, had good recommendations and was a great guide for our meal. But this is a restaurant and the food is where they fell short. It was just good, but for the price of great. The focaccia di Recco was good but then little gems was a let down. The leaves were way too large so they just got went with the dressing and kind of ruined each bite. The crust on the pizza was done right but the sauce and toppings were somewhat bland so again, not a great bite. I think if its just drinks, this place is awesome! But maybe it was a night off and things are better on other days.

5 /5 Margarita San Juan: Went here with my bestie to treat ourselves to a nice dinner and we left beaming! the food was amazing (the local seafood especially!), but aside from that and the gorgeous space, it might have been the best service i’ve had so far in the entire city. our bartender and waiter were amazing (we didn’t catch their names, regrettably) but our hostess, Naomi, went ABOVE and BEYOND! she was so sweet and warm and even took photos for us on two separate occasions, making sure we had something to look back on to remember the night ❤️❤️❤️ we are so grateful for the experience! we’ll be back! (and thank you Naomi!!!)

2 /5 Stefano Cattani: We had a reservation for 8:15, but waited 45 minutes at the bar before being seated, just to be told that a table was actually available all the time, just "too big" for the 3 of us (it was a 5/6 people table). I have been here before at least 10 times with my wife, but tonight the food was definitely below bar. Tagliatelle alla Bolognese were pretty bad (I am from Italy, I know how it should be): very very salty with very little beef. Funghi pizza was overloaded with garlic. Margherita pizza and the Prosciutto were good.
