Phil Hotarek I have a 2001 Tundra with 108,000 miles that I am restoring and I needed an expert with these trucks to give it the love it deserves. Chris really knows this truck. He made recommendations and I felt very comfortable accepting his advice and his estimate. I got the truck back in a couple of days and the feeling is night and day. I once considered buying a brand new pick up truck, but through research felt that it would actually be better for me to restore what I already had. Knowing that I have C&T to take care of it, I feel confident that it still has lots of good years left in it. Thank you to Chris and your team!

Jonathan Morlen Very professional shop capable of serious work. I had the engine fully replaced on my car and Chris was very communicative and answered all my questions. I deferred to his extensive experience when I was unsure and everything turned out great!

They are very knowledgeable and use quality oem parts for the best care of your vehicle. They communicated well and are organized. I will keep bringing my vehicles here. Thank you guys!

Muhammad Abdulla I cant write enough positive things about Nick. It can be overwhelming to find a car mechanic in the Bay, but I can safely say that this shop is an absolute gem. He found the exact issues with my car, gave me a fair and completely reasonable price, and fixed it quickly with no issues. My car is in the best shape its been in years. The sound coming from the engine that four different mechanics failed to diagnose over the past two years is gone now thanks to Nick. The thing that struck me most was that at one point, he found an OEM part for cheaper than his original quote. Rather than pocketing the difference, he informed me of the good news and subtracted it from my bill. Not only is he incredibly knowledgeable, but he is willing to do business in a way thats honest and fair in this economy. I will be returning to this shop whenever I have ANY issues with my car, and I strongly recommend everybody does the same.

Kacey Grauer Went here because of the positive reviews on Google and had a great experience. Nick was able to identify what was causing the weird noises in my car and fix them quickly. He seems very honest and explained things to me well (as someone who knows very little about cars). My car runs great now, I would come back!

Danny Rosa I recently had an excellent experience at At The Shop. Nick is knowledgeable, efficient, and provides transparent communication throughout the entire process. The quality of his work exceeded my expectations, and the prices are always fair. I highly recommend this auto repair shop for their professionalism and top-notch service.

Bobby Murdel I recently took my Porsche Boxster in for repairs, and I was extremely disappointed with both the customer service and the pricing. From the moment I arrived, the staff was unhelpful and rude, making it clear they weren’t interested in addressing my concerns or answering questions about the work being done. Communication was nearly non-existent, and when I asked for updates, I was met with dismissive responses. To make matters worse, the prices were outrageous! I expected to pay a premium for a luxury car repair, but the charges were far beyond what I anticipated for the quality of service I received. It felt like I was being taken advantage of, and I left the shop feeling frustrated and overcharged. I won’t be returning and would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for more reliable and reasonably priced service. Very disappointing experience overall.

Terri DuFore I am so grateful for Carrera. My Mercedes was badly out of alignment after an accident. I had brought it to Audubon motors and was told that the car was probably totaled and that I needed to spend over $800 just to have them inspected. Luckily, Adam from Carrera called me back just as I was signing the paperwork to get my car assessed. He told me he’d be happy to take a look at it. I drove it over to him, he assess the damage and fixed it for just a little more than Audubon would’ve charged me to look at it. I will always be grateful to Adam and Carrera Motors

Aurea Miranda Adam was such a pleasure to meet & have my BMW repaired by. My car broke down so I had it towed to his shop the next day. He had it fixed the same day at an extremely reasonable price. I usually pay enormous amounts if I take my car to a BMW dealer service center. I found Adam’s shop by simply walking through his neighborhood one day back in 2023. I decided to check the reviews on Google & Yelp and saw all the rave reviews. Those reviews are 1000% correct. I will always go to this shop moving forward for all my BMW needs. Thanks so much to Adam & his partner Bogie!!

Joshua Zorn They communicate extremely well about what your car needs & how much it will cost. During the initial estimate request, they asked clarifying questions to make sure the items actually needed to get done. Then, when I mentioned my car was loosing a quart of oil a month, they said they would inspect it. After sending me pictures of a leaking oil pan, they sent me a reasonable estimate to replace it. I think I have found my go-to auto shop!

ONE Eleven It’s tough to find a mechanic you truly trust, someone who’s not just skilled, but also honest, kind, and affordable. After trying several shops around the Bay Area, I feel so lucky to have found Moe’s. Moe works on German cars and even owned a Mercedes like mine, so I knew my car was in good hands. For the first time, I felt totally comfortable leaving it overnight. That kind of trust is rare, and I’m really grateful I found it here. Moe quoted me a fraction of what other shops were charging, and still went above and beyond. He actually did the job twice, yet he never tried to upsell or overcharge. Instead, he gave me honest advice and even shared tips on how to save money in the future. You can tell he genuinely cares about his customers and the cars he work on. He’s professional, knowledgeable, passionate, and takes real pride in his work. I’m now a loyal customer and won’t take my car to anyone else in the Bay. Thank you so much, Moe!

Nick Maggio Went in to have my wheel bearings replaced and ended up being told not only were the rear wheel bearing bad, but my brake pads and rotors were so heavily rusted they also needed to be replaced. Was also told that my wheel studs had to be cut due to the rust in order to access the brakes and bearings. I used to live on the coast, so Im no stranger to rust, but the level of rust they described didnt seem right. I ended up having photos sent to me so I could get a second opinion due to the cost of all of these repairs, and was told that the brakes and rotors, while a bit rusty, were fine--it was surface rust that did not pose any safety risk. Ended up getting just the wheel bearings after some back and forth. Well, a week later my ABS, hill assist, and vehicle dynamic control lights all came on while driving to work and the traction control became disabled. Took it in to another mechanic who told me that the ABS sensor was cut by the shield on the right rear wheel bearing, which caused the lights and the traction control to be lost. I was told this could only have been caused by improper installation of the wheel bearing. Had to get a new bearing and a new ABS sensor installed, which ended up being another $800 after paying this shop $1500. The reviews of this shop are so high and so its very strange to me that I had such a polarizing experience. I dont relish leaving a bad review, but I feel like I have to at least share my experience after all of this happened. The rust could be a difference of opinion, so you can decide whether to call it an upsell or call it friendly concern, but the quality of work was definitely poor and led to more money spent on getting it done right. Real shame.

Jason Lee Jonsson’s is fair and honest. I highly recommend them. Patric is the owner and Pete was my mechanic. Don’t go to Peter Pan BMW service because they will rip you off. Go to Jonsson’s I had a convertible problem on my 2009 BMW convertible top. BMW quoted me $2614.26 (see photos) and Bo Jonsson charged me essentially $150. They are honest and did a great job. See attached photos of the quotes and problem. BMW tried to gouge me for sure. I said his price was essentially $150 because I only had a problem with the right side and asked them to replace the left side as it would wear out soon. So total for both sides was $298.57 Here’s the detail. The inside of my c pillar is covered with a cosmetic trim piece. It closes and opens as the top goes up and down. There is a cable that attaches to the trim piece and routes to a spring anchor location in the trunk. That cable got stretched and the trim piece did not close correctly. See photos. I took it to Patric at Bo Jonsson and he said an estimate of 2 hrs but he would only charge me for the actual time. I took it to BMW after that and explained in detail to the service manager and showed him the cable replacement. Then he responded by saying that the whole rail trim piece with cables would have to be replaced. I tried to explain that it didn’t make sense but all he did was repeat himself. Quote was $2616.14. Attempted rip off failed as I went to Jonsson’s! I took it to Bo Jonsson the next day and watched the mechanic Pete repair it. He did both sides at 1.75 hrs which was less than the 2 hrs Patric quoted!

I’ve come to them for used tires, new tires, exhaust work, auto body repairs, and even registration help—yes, they can help with that too, which is super convenient. Jose Lopez I’ve lived in San Mateo for over 10 years, and Ev’s Auto Service is by far the best shop I’ve found. No matter what we need, from routine maintenance to bigger repairs, we only take our cars to Ev’s. They really know their way around all types of vehicles, including gas, hybrid, and electric. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for quality, honest service.
