5 /5 Brittney McKern: Ive been to several gymnastics centers from Vacaville to here in Concord and Liberty is by far the best for open play. I havent yet had my 2 year old take a class but they always have wonderful obstacles courses for my girl to get her energy out, the coaches are so kind and interactive and its awesome to have something I can take my girl to Monday-Friday no matter the weather. 10/10 love this place

5 /5 Sumiko Clark: Our 8-year-old daughter has been doing gymnastics here for about 2 years and loves it! The coaches are amazing and really know how to work with kids. Our daughter has worked with both Coach Mari and Coach Peter and loves them both. Because of the skills and confidence she has developed, she says she wants to be a gymnast when she grows up.

Slam Dunk Academy - Concord

May Francis Villa Raymundo: Had the opportunity to rent Slam Dunk Academy for a baby shower for about 50 people. The space was great, and the host was responsive. Things of note for those who are interested in renting the space: only one restroom available, no kitchen on site, and WiFi was not readily accessible but eventually password was provided by owner during the event when I requested due to cell phone service issues when playing/streaming music. Owner provided 25 chairs and three tables for use, as well as a blue tooth speaker. And the space was easily accessible with owners instructions. Would recommend this space to others but would have preferred a standard list of amenities available on site (microphone present but not readily available, generally WiFi is not offered) and clean up instructions so as to be better prepared as renters. Overall, generally good experience that fit our needs and the partys theme.

East Bay Gymnastics - Concord

kathy gozalez: The first serious issue was when my daughter’s necklace—a meaningful and personal item—was taken off by one of their temporary coaches and never returned. It was essentially stolen. I was never contacted, the necklace was never handed over to staff, and no one took any accountability. When I brought it to the owner’s attention, he was completely dismissive and rude. He offered no apology, no solution, and acted as if theft by his staff wasn’t his concern. That was a huge red flag. The second major issue was when my daughter broke her arm. I personally went to the facility and handed in a doctor’s note explaining she wouldn’t be able to attend. Despite this, they continued charging me for the months she didn’t attend. When I asked for a refund, they claimed they couldn’t do anything because I didn’t send an email—completely ignoring the fact that I had spoken to them in person and provided medical proof. They still have not made it right. What’s worse is that even some of their former coaches have said this place has a reputation for keeping money they shouldn’t and refusing to issue refunds. That’s theft, plain and simple. Between the stolen necklace and the money they refuse to return, this place has proven to be dishonest and untrustworthy. I would never recommend this school to anyone. They do not care about their students or their families—only the money.

I love that she has shown great improvement in just the short time we have been attending! I can’t wait to see what is yet to come!

Alison Youngblood: An outstanding experience for my daughters 5th birthday party! The gym staff went above and beyond to create a truly special celebration. From the initial planning stages through the actual event, their communication was excellent and professional. The party was incredibly well-organized, with staff members who clearly knew how to keep young children engaged and having fun. My daughter felt like a star throughout the entire celebration, which is exactly what every parent hopes for on their childs birthday.

Eric Wonder: I’ve been coming to this San Pablo location since they first open the staff has always been super friendly and welcoming. Even though they don’t have a janitorial staff, employees do an amazing job at keeping the club up kept.

Rod Steam: I’ve never been more disappointed with a gym. The staff at Planet Fitness was incredibly rude and unprofessional. On one of the occasions when I approached the front desk with a question, the employee barely acknowledged me and acted annoyed that I was even asking for help. It felt like she didn’t care at all about customer service. On top of that, the gym was dirty, with several machines out of order for days, and the locker rooms were a mess. I was hoping for a better experience, but the rude attitude from the employees made me feel unwelcome. This place is not worth the membership. I’m definitely canceling and won’t be back.

I want to add a suggestion… could be very useful if the manager adds some sandback for kicking and hitting, because this is a proactive cardio, I assure you that would be a resounding success in attracting customers. Bridges Fitness - El Cerrito

Susan Park: My husband and I attend classes 3-4 days a week. We love the instructor lead program and see results in our weight, balance and strength. We are both retired, and like to bike, hike, kayak and ski. Bridges program is the perfect training to keep us healthy and able to do other sports without injury. It is almost like having a personal trainer without the cost. Each session can be tailored to individual needs. It is also a small community of like minded individuals who encourage each other to keep fit and to keep with the program!
